    I've been coming to this gym since Nov 14th 2022. What started out as an interest in the aesthetics of the place, quickly changed after I met Rob. Not only was he very informative, he was very transparent with the way things worked around the gym as well as his personal passion and the desire to make others see the things that we sometimes don't see about ourselves. Rob is no longer with the team, but i still continue to attend. The passion that the trainers have. The discipline that you start building up. The sense of community between clients. Everything just sets the bar for a well rounded, respectful, and driven environment. I'm happy that i made the decision to sign up, and what started as a place that "looked cool" quickly became a home, and further than that, a community, a family. It's definitely no $10 a month. The gym works class-based, meaning that you have to reserve your training time, but as you go you understand the benefit in having constant supervision and a trainer available in every single class. Definitely recommend! I actually got a few of my friends to sign up already 😅🫡💪🏽🔥👑🦁

    King is a different kind of gym. The focus at King is on proper technique, developing strength and fitness which is helpful in day-to-day life, not bench pressing 350 pounds. Clients are not your typical gym users. The coaches at King are highly knowledgeable and able to communicate how to improve your technique. Classes are small enough that you get plenty of opportunity for the coaches to assist with your technique. It is a very positive, comfortable and welcoming environment.

    I have been with this gym for the past 6 months and I have seen such an improvement not only my physical appearance, but in my mental stamina my ability to persevere and my drive to push myself harder. Rob is an amazing trainer and has a wealth of knowledge. Gerrik, Pete, Orlando, and Abby are also awesome! This is a true example of creating a community of driven people while having fun and accomplishing goals!

    King is a special place. It is much more than a gym to me. This is a place where you share in a sense of community and share accomplishments with like minded people. This is a place where you will grow as an athlete and a teammate. The coaches at King are just that. They are coaches. They know each and everyone of their athletes (clients) and what they are capable of. As a woman, I feel empowered when I am here. I've never been made to feel like a girl but always like an athlete. They even communicate and celebrate you outside of the gym. I honestly feel like they truly care about me and the entire King community as a 2nd family. The programming is specific and scientifically driven to produce results. It focuses on strength and performance just like the name says :) They preach consistency above all. And on top of it all, we have a fun and a good time there too! Strength training at King has improved my performance as a triathlete. I've seen major improvements, specifically in my running, that I know comes from the work I was doing there. So if you've never lifted before and are a runner or a cyclist, I would still highly encourage trying it out!

    Started coming to this gym after a move. Trainers Rick and Abby didn’t hesitate to accommodate a new schedule and make sure we stayed committed to our goals. The community here is like no other with regulars attending classes consistently. Trainers Dom, Mona, Ashley, Eric, Rick and Abby are all extremely helpful and motivating. Rick drilled into me that weights are only as heavy as they feel, and because of his motivation, I have broken several personal bests and continue to get stronger. Since starting I’ve lost 60 lbs with consistency and focus around weight training. I Would highly recommend this gym and team to stay motivated and committed to your fitness goals.

    I joined King Strength and Performance in Cranford 3 months ago and it has drastically improved the quality of my life! I have always been active, however strength training has been a weakness. Thanks to the team here, I have been able to be more consistent and confident with strength training. Special shoutout to Abby and Mona who feel like friends encouraging you to do your best. They are so helpful and patient, but still push me out of my comfort zone. I look forward to going to the gym now thanks to the friendly environment they create. I can't thank them enough! If you are hesitant about starting, I would say its worth taking the leap for.

    This review has been a long time coming due to the fact that I can't even describe how good this gym is. For starters, this is the perfect gym for anyone who wants to start strength training. The owner and trainers are all extremely knowledgeable and all programming is science backed. The programming is straight to the point, no weird gimmicky workouts and it takes the thinking out of training for us. The community is welcoming and encouraging, this gym is a safe haven. I am not a people person nor do I like to be in groups but being a member of King has me surrounded by like minded people and in my opinion, has made me feel like a better version of myself. I am someone who fell off of my fitness due to the pandemic, and have had a hard time getting back to working out and being around people. King has made this transition so much easier for me. The trainers are all amazing individuals who help encourage you every step of the way. I am super grateful to be a member of King.

    After being a member of King for over 2+ years I can honestly say that joining this gym was one of the best decisions I ever made. At 43 years old I am stronger, leaner and healthier than at any point in my life. All the trainers are amazing and very knowledgeable. The workouts are great and can be adjusted for anyone. I highly recommend their private or semi-private training for more specific goals that you might have. Working with Coach Rob has helped me accomplish many things that I couldn’t have imagined doing previous to training with him.

    I was visiting the area from Arizona where I am a member of an amazing fitness studio so my standards were high. I did a lot of research before I decided to give King Strength and Performance a try. One of the pillars that separates my home studio from the rest is that it is more than a gym, it is a community. I got the same feeling at King Strength and Performance. Everyone from the members to the coaches were so welcoming and made me feel part of their community. The workouts are challenging but manageable. If you are fortunate enough to be near one of their locations, I highly recommend giving them a try. If you are a member of King Strength and Performance and happen to be in or near Gilbert, AZ and need a place to workout Funkfit/The Collective would make feel just as at home as you guys made me feel.

    Been at King’s for 4 months now and I love it. I’ve never seen gym programming done so intentionally. The community is so strong and motivating and going here at 5am is my favorite part of the day :)

    What a place! This is not a gym. I repeat this is not a gym. This facility cultivates HEALTHY body functionality and muscle strength/repair. Coming out of ACL/meniscus surgery a year ago I never thought I’d be back to any pain free days or get my quad strength of my bad leg to equal my good one. After almost three months of training with Rick O, I can confidently say I wish I knew about King prior to finishing out my last few months of physical therapy. I would have came to King; I have been able to visibly see my progress in a muscular and mental capacity as this would have motivated me much more. King gave me my life back after such a crushing injury.

    If you could picture a perfect work environment and co-workers it would be King. I came here in 2020 during the King Apprenticeship and it was a great learning experience, I can honestly say everything I know now on communication and training came from that. The staff we have now is the best team I’ve ever been a part of. They are uplifting, motivating, and have your best interests in mind. They have helped me grow both mentally and physically, even helping me get new certifications along the way. There are no words for how appreciative I am for everything King has helped me achieve, so thank you for that!

    I've been going to KING for close to 6 months and I absolutely love it. I never thought I’d be a person who enjoys working out early in the morning but it feels like second nature to me now. I've been consistently going 3 days a week, M/W/F and I've seen significant improvements in my strength, energy, and overall well-being. At KING, there is a different training block each month focused on developing strength and at the end of each quarter is KPI testing to see your growth. There are also other classes on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays focused on conditioning, KB techniques, mobility and arm farm – which everyone raves about but I have yet to try it! In these last 6 months, I’ve seen significant growth in each of the major lifts. With that said, there is still a big focus on form and mobility. You are working at your specific level and building yourself from where you are so the classes work for individuals that are beginners to the more advanced. Classes are a collective experience – you’re working individually but you’re supporting one another in your growth and success. I’ve gotten to know so many amazing individuals at KING. Classes are taught by trainers and they are all absolutely amazing! All of the trainers I’ve had the opportunity to take a class with genuinely care and are invested in helping each member in their journey. Overall, I highly recommend giving this facility a try – it will be worth it!

    Great gym, great trainers, great environment! I first joined King-Cranford in 2021 when I moved to Cranford. The strength program was a great way to get back into lifting, and find community within town. I took some time away from King, but re-joined earlier in the year. Trainers like Mona have been amazing at running the classes and inspiring members. Gerrick and team run a great gym, definitely worth joining for the structured programs and accountability.

    King in Cranford is an incredible class-based gym for anyone looking to improve their overall physical strength and mental wellbeing! All of the Trainers are fantastic, and are incredibly knowledgeable about physiology, the exercises and the 'why' of each movement and strength program (shout-out to Abby, David, Mona and Rich!!) The small class sizes are awesome and there is plenty of equipment/weights/space for anything you would ever need. This is one of the most genuine and friendly gyms/communities I've been a part of. Highly recommend!

    I was a pip-squeak before joining King, now I am somewhere in between a chiseled Greek god and a foodie. If you are looking to get into working out, join King. You will not regret your decision. Within a year my life has vastly improved and have met a ton of great people.

    I'm only a few weeks into my membership but my experience so far has been incredibly positive. Moved to this gym because over at OrangeTheory (which I really loved too), the heavy emphasis on cardio was destroying my pre-existing knee and hip injuries. My doctor recommended I switch to strength training and strategic cardio conditioning and that's exactly what I'm getting at King--I love the small class size, the personalized instruction, and the general layout of classes. Each month's strength program has a different theme/focus and I'm excited to see what's ahead and how much my body can do! I'm already surprising myself with how much I'm lifting. Best part is the conditioning doesn't hurt my joints and generally, my pain has decreased significantly.

    Joining KINGs has been one of the best choices I made this year and has been nothing short of amazing. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and supportive; I always feel safe and guided. This is truly a judge free gym and most importantly, the workouts are effective and next level. You won’t regret signing up!

    I have never been the kind of person who enjoyed going to the gym. Consistency was not my thing. Since starting semi-private training at King in November 2021 (so nearly 6 months now) I have been going three times a week, every week, without fail. The environment is incredibly welcoming (all the coaches take care to really get to know you and your goals), the workouts are great, my coach, Abby, is simply the best in all the ways, and I have felt so encouraged and supported every step of my fitness journey. Best of all, I've seen significant results, from no more pain in joints that previously troubled me, to major strength gains. Abby takes such great care to create workouts that are compatible with my body and my personal goals. Thank you, King, for creating an environment that is inclusive and welcoming to everyone.

    King strength is just that gym!! If you’re looking for a safe, welcoming, dog friendly, energy filled, knowledgeable staff, encouraging and helpful staff-this is the place to be. I’ve never loved going to the gym more than I do now and as a track athlete they’ve pushed me so much that I have to credit my gains to them. Each training cycle is difficult but you’re a part of an amazing community that will push you along the way to get it done. You won’t regret signing up today!     After having a baby, I didn’t think I would be able to take any “me” time. I focused on my family and my career. Earlier this year, I realized it was time to start taking care of myself. Although exercising was never my thing, I figured I’d give it a try. For four months now, I’ve been training twice a week. I look forward to every session – they’re challenging and fun. What I love most about it is that all I have to do is show up. This is the one thing in my life, where I don’t plan, organize, or arrange for. Pete, my personal trainer figures everything out. He’s knowledgeable, encouraging, and supportive. When I hit a mental block and feel like I just can’t finish a set, Pete coaches me through it and helps me refocus. It works every time. Weight loss has been great, but I found that getting consistently stronger is even more rewarding. I’m in such better place physically and mentally. King is a special place with a strong sense of community. I felt like I belonged since day one – this was never the case at any other gym I’ve joined in the past.

    The community at King Strength and Performance is unlike any other. If you are interested solely in coming in, getting a great workout and training with technique, they are great for that. If you are also looking for a strong and supportive community of trainers and members, King goes above and beyond to foster a positive atmosphere where community thrives. The coaches are superb and have helped me reach goals I didn't even know were goals of mine when I began!

    King Strength and Performance has to be one of the top gyms in NJ. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable not only in weight lifting and strength but also recovery and mobility. I have had a history of shoulder and back pain and since joining, my pain has been eliminated. I feel better, sleep better and have a better outlook on life. I highly recommend this gym to anyone looking to challenge themselves and live a better lifestyle!

    Kings is not only a gym but a community. I joined after things started opening up after COVID. It’s now been three years and I still look forward to going to the gym. The gym, program and trainers are great and always willing to answer your questions and correct your movements. Huge shout out to Mona and Abby who’ve been there since the beginning for me — looking out for me with not only my workouts but nutrition. By going to the gym I was able to get to my fittest in 10 years. They also changed things up and were accommodating during my pregnancy (went till the day my water broke). Now I’m back again 3 months after having my baby. It feels good being back and connecting with everyone.

    King has helped me create a foundation for weightlifting, grow confident in my physical appearance, and prove my own strength to myself. I started at King with my mom in October 2022 and was hesitant at first. I really didn’t know what I was doing and wasn’t confident in my abilities until I started coming in consistently and committing to myself. With the help of the trainers at King they help you on form and everything of course but they also establish a great relationship with each person and make you feel special and heard. It’s one thing to believe in yourself but it’s also a great feeling to know that the people around you believe as well. King is a great gym and an amazing community. I’m glad to say I’ve been a part of it :)

    I joined group training sessions at King Strength and Performance more than a year ago, and it was the best decision I made for my physical and mental health. The gym offers structured programming that includes a good mix of dynamic stretches, weightlifting / body weight exercises, and cooldown sessions, as well as the opportunity to progressive overload each week. At home, I have a limited collection of dumbbells, but King Strength provides access to heavier dumbbells, kettlebells, plates, benches, and barbells. The trainers are welcoming, kind, helpful; they frequently check form, spot, provide modifications, and listen to concerns and questions. I walk away from every class feeling accomplished and proud of the work I put in. It’s definitely been a confidence booster! For anyone who is looking for structure with their workouts, is tired of guesswork and the lack of consistency, and wants a comfortable environment for people of all ages, sizes, and genders, I highly recommend checking out King Strength and Performance.

    What started in 2021 as an experiment is now an integral part of my life, 2.5 years later. Never did I imagine myself as a consistent “gym guy”, but it’s the thing I look most forward to each week from a personal growth standpoint. The owner, the trainers and the community at King is top notch — they push you to overcome your doubts, listen to your unique needs and help you be a better version of yourself every time you step foot in this place. I’ve come a long way from chronic back pain, rickety knees and being barely able to lift half my body weight. And King has been by my side on this journey every step of the way.
