A vegan bodega! So cool. Has groceries and hot food. Even some local products and creations. Took the free ferry to Staten Island, and a 10 minute bus right to the bodega.

Super good vegan breakfast! First time trying this spot and will definitely be back. We tried the bacon egg and cheese, and the sausage egg and cheese. Both were so tasty and filling!

I really loved this place until the unpleasant experience I had yesterday. I placed an order at 12PM for pancakes and arrived at 12:30PM when it said the order would be ready. Apparently they ran out of pancake mix and had to make more, which is fine, but I wish they would’ve told me my order would be delayed. The girl working the front counter was also nasty and couldn’t understand why I was flustered waiting so long, and begrudgingly offered to make me something else, but with my dairy, soy, & gluten intolerance, I’m limited to what I can have. I waited 20+ minutes for an order of two giant pancakes that were inedible. They were rock hard on the outside, but gummy and raw on the inside and had absolutely no flavor whatsoever. They also didn’t come with the raspberry jam that’s advertised that I was looking forward to. I threw the pancakes out after a couple of bites. Waste of $15 and an hour of my day.

4 stars across the board. Vodega was a trek for my friend and I to get to from Manhattan but it didn't disappoint. I will say, the soft serve IS very disappointing. But my chickenless cutlet sandwich was very good and at $11 I think that's appropriate for what it is and only one worker so she was hustling. My friend enjoyed his sausage egg and cheese burrito but it was very small compared to mine but similar cost. Less grocery store items than from previous pictures a year ago but still one shelf worth of items and a whole fridge of drinks. If I'm ever in SI again, I would want to try Vodega again to explore the other sandwiches and smoothies!!

Awesome Vegan Bacon, egg and cheese and Sausage, egg and cheese on a roll. The place is so clean! I mean really clean! Super nice staff and it’s like a bodega, only cleaner. Try the Avocado cupcake!

Spectacular effort by the owner Tariq to uplift the community through real clean vegan food! Very friendly staff that takes the time to explain things to you and offer suggestions based on your preferences. I went in to try vegan Mike's specials. Food is a little bit pricey but it's only right to invest in your body, it's the only one you have got. Impressed with their Whole Foods and non-processed ingredients. Make sure you ask for the jerk sauce they make in house if you want your food a little bit spicy like mines. Special thanks to the owner for making a late custom modification to my order! Wishing that much success and growth in the future!

Love vodega!! About time Staten island got a vegan bodega. Their sandwiches and such are amazing, I have a weak spot for the bacon egg and cheese. They also have soft serve and carry some (potentially hard to find) vegan pantry essentials. Whether you're vegan or not, you gotta stop at vodega!

We order from here all the time. My bacon egg and cheese be on point. They made my husband his chooped cheese (he's a meat eater) & that man was amazed of the flavor. Food was gone in less than 10 mins 😋. & yall are convenient for me since your the only vegan spot close by. Thank you guys

A vegan bodega, yes please! Vegan options on Staten Island can be slim, so I was so stoked to find this place just around the corner from my family's home on my last trip back. I can't remember the last time I was able to get a breakfast sandwich from a bodega, but this definitely scratched that itch. The guy behind the counter was super nice, and I look forward to returning and supporting this awesome local business. All the stars. Wu-tang forever.

I am so blessed to have this place open up down the street from where I live. I have been vegan for 7 years and the vegan options on staten island are slim. Owner is cool, staff is friendly, and the food is fantastic! Definitely recommend for vegans and non-vegans!

Visited first time today and had the bacon egg cheese, a latte and ended up buying all the chocolate chip cookies they had.😋🤭 Definitely won't be my last time here. 😊 met the owner also; what a very nice person.

Really enjoyed this place. It's expensive but it's vegan. One thing I will say is the wait is long. Be prepared to wait for your order. No real place to eat just a small section in the back. Staff was friendly and nice food was very good. I'm not vegan but really enjoyed all the options and the food we had. I recommend it if you try it you will love it

Nice food but not a nice ambiance. The music the staff was playing was not only inappropriate for a deli/restaurant setting, but also incredibly offensive with derogatory names, curse words, and even "the N word". Definitely won't be returning to this place.

The food here is slamming! Such an awesome Vegan spot ran by a great dude Tariq. The service was friendly and the taste and portions were very satisfying. A must try if you're a Vegan or Vegan curious!

I recently visited Vodega for the first time, attracted by the positive reviews. The service was excellent, and the energetic ambiance created a welcoming atmosphere. However, as a non-vegan trying vegan food for the first time, I must admit that the experience left much to be desired. I ordered their mac n' cheese, hoping to be pleasantly surprised by the vegan version of this classic dish. Unfortunately, it fell short of my expectations. The mac n' cheese was disappointingly dry, lacking the creamy texture I associate with this dish. To make matters worse, there were burnt bits scattered throughout the dish, which significantly affected the overall taste. While I understand that vegan food can have a different taste and texture compared to traditional dishes, I can't help but feel let down by the quality of the meal. It's possible that this particular preparation may not be representative of the restaurant's overall menu, but based on this experience, I cannot recommend the mac n' cheese. Despite the food being unsatisfactory, I appreciate the opportunity to try something new and experience a different culinary perspective. Overall, the service and ambiance were commendable, but the mac n' cheese left a lasting impression on this first-time vegan food explorer. If you're willing to explore vegan cuisine and experiment with different dishes, this might still be worth a visit, but approach the mac n' cheese with caution.
