Old school, 50's style motel located right next to the lake! Quiet rooms, comfy beds, and a very friendly staff. The rooms have been renovated. Its located right across the street from Save a Lot, and about half way between Palatka and DeLand. Easy to recommend a night at the Lake View Motel

Stayed 4 nights. First night they only had “suites” available for $100/night. The furniture in the suite left a lot to be desired. Room 12 was awful. The couch had rips in the fabric and the fridge didn’t even fit in the hole that was designed for it in the counter so it stuck way out. They also had a space heater in the room that didn’t warm the room up enough. Not that this is a huge issue as FL isn’t known for it’s chilly weather. The lights were difficult to find/turn-on. Fix the furniture issue and I’ll upgrade my star rating. The regular rooms are $80/night and we stayed in Room 11 for another 3 nights. It was nice enough. The beds are super soft and the pillows are super hard. They have a strict no pets policy yet there was a cat outside who dashed into my room as soon as I opened the door the last night we stayed there. So I gave her a pastry and some water and she slept on the bed with us. Cute cat.

Ok if you need a place to sleep. Alot of things needed repair. Lady at desk at check in was nice, but, nobody was around at checkout. We had to leave our key with the cleaning lady. Towels and sheets had some stains on them. But good enough place to sleep when you're tired, and was reasonably priced.

OMG, I was skeptical about staying at this "motel", but one should not judge a book by it's cover, this was one of those times when I was completely wrong. The room was updated, smelled super, the wall a/c unit worked; constant room temperature. I slept like a baby.

I love it there great people and service. 5 stars from me.

Cheap shampoo packets you cannot open and cheap soap cakes. No hair dryer. Not worth the price if you need a shower. Bed was comfortable. Drawers in dresser were dirty.

I was camping in a tent because I live an hour away from the job I’m on, worked 2 12 hour days out doors without showering didn’t even bring a change of clothes, that being said I desperately needed a shower and a good nights sleep. I was so tired I didn’t notice the blood stain I had been sleeping on all night. Absolutely disgusting and unacceptable. Everything else was good enough, I would’ve left 4-5 star but come on you can’t leave blood stains on the pillows and sheets.
