Really nice traditional trattoria just outside of the city centr of Bologna. The staff is very friendly and they check regularly if everything was okay without being pushy. Saria was our waitress and she might be the best waitress in Bologna! The food is amazing and so are the wines with fair prices. Lots of locals here and we can imagine why. Amazing!

Very nice trattoria in Bologna. We had a pernota (reservation) for 5 at 20:00 and we had a great dinner outside in the porches. The antipasti were delicious, specially the Parmigiana di melanzane and the affetatto misto. The vitello tonnato was really good too, it was the first time I had one. Then we had, each one, some pasta, and it was delicious too. 😘🤌🇮🇹

The exibit of Steve McCurry "animals" is just a few minutes at Palazzo Belloni from the trattoria.This was the occasion of my visit. But if you are not interested in photographs enjoy this classic eatery in Bologna. Excellent ethnic food, Gnocchi. Gnocco fritto, Tortellini in brodo, cotoletta alla Bolognese and much more. Great service and good value for money too. Excellent location still in the shade of thee Neptune. Do not miss it. 😉

We tried to find a traditional "Trattoria" and we did. Being served by Saria was a pleasure, she was very friendly and helpful, best waitress we've met in Italy so far. She suggested several local dishes and wines which were really tasty! All the other staff was on point too. Not too pushy but checked if everything was okay if necessary.

Excellent, what else can I say. Well a lot more in fact. We actually used Trattoria della santa for the three nights we stayed in Bologna. Why you may ask, well on day one we were welcomed by great staff which were friendly and professional. We managed to get a seat out side, which was great. Unfortunately the next few nught we were inside, so I would recommend booking out side if that's what you want. So the food, lovely absolutely lovely. We had a different dish each night and we weren't disappointed. The staff were busy little bees and seemed never to stop. The food was swift no issues and we never seemed rushed, unlike some places yoh can goto. Great value for money, so give it ago, you won't be disappointed.

try the traditional bolognese pasta dish. also good: gnocchi with gorgonzola sauce. rude waiter, but okay restaurant overall.

After spending a good deal of time in Bologna this spring, we have come home with great respect and appreciation for Trattoria Della Santa. The young team and owner provide an experience that is welcoming, efficient,and above all very delicious. We truly enjoyed all of our lunches,the friendly atmosphere and feeling. Restaurant located in the historic center of Bologna. Small but very cozy place. Rustic and family-friendly atmosphere. Excellent food quality. Portions are generous, and prices are quite reasonable. Especially noteworthy are the crescentine and tagliatelle with ragù. The house wine is not bad either. Highly recommended!

We had a reservation for 5. The staff was very polite and helpful. The menu has many great options, but I went traditional and had the parmigiana and tagliatelle with ragu. Both were amazing! The prices are very reasonable, and the selection of wine very good with good prices as well. I think it's definitely worth eating here.

Typical trattoria (simple restaurant) with no frills and a wide selection of traditional dishes from the local region. Good enough for the food quality, but with some improvement margins on the service quality, such as the dish distribution and recollection organization, the wine serving (way too warm) and the general attention to the needs of the people at the table. Friendly waiters.

My favorite restaurant in Bologna. Had tortelloni with prosciutto and it was stellar. My favorite dish I've had in Bologna so far. Also had a glass of the house red, water, and a side salad. Affordable prices, all of the above was under 20 euros, including the coperto. Great value for the money. Thsy take credit cards as well.

Good Trattoria in Bologna city centre. Try Bolognese Cutlet (Cotoletta alla Bolognese) and Bolognese Tortellini if you want to have a taste of local food. House wine is good but they have other option too. Friendly environment.

I can only comment on the service as I did not get a chance to taste the food. We arrived just after the restaurant opened and were told that the restaurant was “fulled booked” (the restaurant was entirely empty at the time). Having eaten a pleasant meal elsewhere, we walked passed the restaurant again and decided to make a reservation for the next day, since it had been recommended by our hotel owner. Again, we were told that the restaurant was fully booked on the next day and the day after as well. Looking around, I could still see empty tables and it was quite clear that the waiter was not being truthful. I can only conclude that the staff are prejudiced against tourists. Well, what I can I say.. enjoy your empty tables! Ps. The restaurant is situated next to a busy road. Not the most atmospheric place for a quiet meal.
