This is our second time coming to Snip-it. My son came here for his first hair cut experience and now for his 3rd birthday tomorrow. The location is a 45 minute drive from us but love this salon too much to go anywhere else. I love the booking process and how patient and engaging they are with the kids. My son absolutely love the card and gift after each haircut. Thank you for the birthday coupon!

Too expensive for a child’s haircut. Bare minimum service. They did a terrible job cutting my toddler’s hair. They didn’t try to keep my child calm while my wife and I tried to calm him for the haircut. No effort made to keep his attention. She was just getting us in and out as low effort as possible. Actually, she barely did anything but mess up my kid’s hair. I understand cutting a child’s hair comes with some difficulties, but this is their niche and what they’re supposed to do well. Don’t bother lodging a complaint with the staff, the owners live in the Carolinas.

I just got done with a haircut for my son here. It is by far the worst haircut he has ever received. He was watching the TV the entire time and was not moving around. There was zero effort from the stylist to blend his hair and it’s so uneven.

We came for my son's second haircut and Ashley was amazing! She knew exactly what to do to keep him calm and entertained, we got the cut we were looking for, and she was fast and precise. The store is fun, colorful, and inviting, and there is a special machine for kids to put a card in at the end to get a randomized prize! We also found it very affordable. The only recommendation I would make is booking. You can book online, but only same-day. You have to call to book ahead, and when we tried, no one picked up or called us back. You should be able to book online in advance like other shops (otherwise, what's the purpose of having any online booking? Most parents set their schedule in advance). Either way, we had a really good experience and since it was in Waugh Chapel, it was easy to add this to our errands in this shopping center.

We took our daughter for a haircut yesterday. It was great to schedule online. Easy to book, to pick out what you need or want. For instance if you want the hair washed and blow dried you request that. If you want just hair cut, they do it. If you want the hairstyle they would do it too. They did a great job cutting it too.

The place was over all kids friendly. The manager (Toni) was awesome and finished up the haircut since it seems not everyone does chocolate boys "edge up or line up" -- but honestly, I totally get it as it's hard enough doing any kids' hair, but take a bit extra patience to do "our" hair as any missed step will be visible for the next 2-3 weeks in our magically hair. So, for the other moms of chocolate black sons, it may be best to ask for someone from the beginning who does edge ups/ line up so you get one barber from start to finish. I definitely plan to come back and will ask for Ms. TONI, or note in the reservation to have someone that can do edge ups/ lineup with the fade. Also, it seems that ALL the ladies working are very experienced working with Autistic & special needs children with various sensitivities. While waiting for the edge up, I noticed many of them were very patient with the client and overheard them planning reseating locations to help a child that may be over stimulated by being seated up front during the cut. I thought that it was nice that they put that consideration into it before the parent/child even asked. I will definitely be back in a few weeks

This snip its location is great and has been our go to spot for my 5 year ol who is who was originally frightened of getting his hair cut. He now routinely asks when he get his next haircut. Deja has done a phenomenal job of making him comfortable with the whole process. Even today, she helped another staff member with a young client who was struggling with his haircut. However, my son is now at the age where he wants to pick out hairstyles. There were ABSOLUTELY NO DIVERSITY in the style books for us to look at. My son and I are black as well as the staff there and other customers. But their materials are not reflective of the community they serve. This left my son frustrated and is probably his first time experiencing a “othering” of his identity as a black boy. I wasn’t really prepared to have to talk with him about this especially from a place he loved so much. This may cause me to choose somewhere else.

It was our first time at Snip-its and we had a positive experience which will likely bring us back for future haircuts. Though the salon was understaffed the day we went with only one employee, we couldn't have asked for better customer service or a better haircut. Bridget ran the show without any problems and tended to every customer with attention and care. Bridget had a way with children which made all three of my kiddos more comfortable in the new setting and put my worries at ease. My daughter (age 7) was made to feel special during the entire visit and we couldn't be happier with her adorable haircut! Prices were reasonable too. All of us left with big smiles! Thank you, Bridget. You rock! :)

It’s a kids hair cut so you get what you pay for. The stylists are all friendly and do well with kids and they have a cute reward token for the kids to claim a free toy once they get their hair cut. Overall it’s a good experience for the kids but it would be nice if they did a better job cleaning between cuts. There is always hair everywhere and surfaces don’t seem to get wiped down.

First time ever going here and it was super cute! The person we had did such a good job on my son's first haircut. Definitely recommend going here.

I love snip it! The stylist are friendly, knowledgeable, and do an excellent job. My kids enjoy going to get a haircut and to receive a prize after their haircut. I highly recommend to anyone with toddlers and small children.

Called ahead and asked if they take walk ins, they said yes but to come before 3 because they’re so busy they usually can’t take walk ins any more. I say that’s ok I’ll be there in an hour (11am) When I arrive I was scolded that I can’t just show up without an appointment, and after telling her I called ahead and what they told me on the phone she argues back to say you still can’t do that. I was left stumped and said ok…. I’m sorry. And then she continues to check me in begrudgingly(there was no other clients in this place almost the entire time I was there btw). While starting my sons hair she asks another woman if she could finish his hair for her and the other girl laughs and says no. I have never felt so unwanted to be anywhere in my life. After already having started I just decided to go with the flow and brush it off. My son was very compliant and actually seemed to enjoy his first haircut. I trusted the process and after it was all gelled up with hair product I thought it looked decent. But after washing it I see it does not look good at all and so we are having to get it fixed else where. He won’t know/remember this but as a parent the first hair cut is supposed to be happy and memorable. Extremely disappointed with this place and will not be returning.

Bridget was absolutely fantastic. I will surely be bringing my grandson to her every time. She understands straight, thick hair. His cut came out amazing, light, and easy to manage. I think I might have her cut my hair.

My son is uncomfortable with getting hair cuts. While Toni did a great job at calming him down, she would leave often to help at the front desk which prolonged our visit more than necessary.
