This is not a swimming beach. You cannot enter the water here due to sinking mud and sand so do not go with the expectation that you will be able to. You can however have a lovely walk and see the art installation on the beach. Very dog friendly & accessible for most (parts of the promenade are blocked by sand dunes so you will have to go on the beach). Be careful of the tides, they come in very fast.

Almost died in the quick sand on this beach today!! No large defined signs explaining the hidden gullies under the sands and potential for getting pulled under 😳 Within two minutes was almost up to my waist in clay! No sign of a coastguard and managed to get pulled out by friend who was also going under. Stay on the promenade and do not walk along the waters edge is my advice! The council should make better signage πŸ‘ŽπŸ» Very pretty otherwise πŸ˜¬πŸ‘€πŸ™„

Had a lovely walk along the beach. The beach seemed to be free of litter and there were lots of people enjoying themselves. The wind was a bit chilly but it was lovely and sunny. The statues were something different and kind of interesting. I walked back through the dunes and that too was really pleasant. You’d never imagine there would be such a nice beach so close to a large docks it’s a real gem.

A lovely but interesting sandy beach, plenty of free parking ( opposite the sports centre) Lovely for walks and check out the 100 statues spread out aver the beach. Also keep a look out for brick rubble, from the blitz. It’s said that the rubble was put here to help with sea defence, but after time has now been uncovered.

Absolutely stunning stretch of coastline. Golden sands, blue sea and great views. On clear days you can see the Welsh Mountains in the distance and the Liverpool Dock cranes in the forefront. Brilliant to get away from it all for a couple of hours and chill.

Weather makes all the difference. Nice walk on the beach. Wife touched statues inappropriately, which was disconcerting to say the least.

Tide was high so took a walk along the front. Even though it was quite cold in the sun, had a lovely time and even spent an hr flying my kite. Only down side was walking in dog foul that hadn't been picked up.

Very nice beach. Long beach with man statue on all beach from project Another Place by Antony Gormley. When is low tide all statues are visible. From beach also can see big ships on route to or from Liverpool. Near beach visitors can parking in Marina bay where is parking, restaurant and playground. Between beach and town Crosby visitors can see nice old parks...

Great experience. Lovely coastal walk, very exposed, so wrap up if it's cool. The beach is huge, and when the tide is out, the beach can be very muddy in places, so if you want to swim or paddle, it's not ideal. However, it is a good beach to visit, and the Anthony Gormley installation is fantastic. Highly recommend πŸ‘Œ

Great place to be in the summer, especially with the bus bar and a few drinks watching the ships sail in and out to sea. Sunsets are stunning on Crosby beach

Huge beach but don’t walk out too far as it’s very tidal and you could easily get stuck. The sand is ok, but there’s lots of rubbish, litter and dog poo laying around which is a shame. Parking is easy via the Leisure Centre carpark or nearby roads. We came to see the Another Place statues. Very strange but cool to see!

Crosby beach is my favorite one, sand dunes and low tide may expose the sea animals like jelly fish and flat fish and other. It would be a good walk to reach the main water stream from the bank.A small bus sales Ice cream and leisure house are exemplary.

A nice beach side walk and lovely escape for an afternoon. It's got a unique set of statues looking into the sea that work really well for the landscape and get submerged with the tide. It was quite windy when we went and it's also a muddy beach, I also don't believe you'd want to swim here given the tides (saw a sign to say no swimming). You also get a lovely view of Liverpool and Birkenhead. Perfect for a dog walk or a walk along the promenade.

Muddy but still a nice beach to play on. The statues add an extra dimension to what is otherwise quite an industrial outlook (docks and wind turbines)

Very convenient free parking but wrap up warm or have extra clothes as it can get chilly. Lovely beach, easy access and prom to walk on. The sculptures are wonderful. To see them all you need the highest tide but otherwise you can see them in the water.

Nice for a walk and to see the statues. I parked near the RNLI hut, walked along the beach to the sand dunes and walked back along the path. Parking was Β£1 for 2 hours and there was a coffee stall in the carpark. Nice walk but follow the warning signs the beach is really muddy if you try to venture out.

A lovely stretch of beach at the mouth of the Mersey with great views across to the Wirral. It’s great to sit in the car and watch the boats go by or to walk along the beach or the promenade. Downside is that there’s a fee to park your vehicle.

Love coming here for the day from Liverpool - there’s loads of free/non permit parking roads so close by. It’s wheelchair accessible βœ”οΈ the side of the beach with the boating lake is often quieter and less windy by the dunes πŸ–οΈ. There’s a duck pond with swans and a lovely big green grassy area.

This beach is something else. To have I believe 100 iron statues dotted all over the beach and in the water with the Liverpool docks as a backdrop is rather stunning. Great place to walk the og or take the kids to run around and ket off some steam.

Decent beach - good for a walk if you're in the area, and worth a visit just to see the Another Place statues by Anthony Gormley. They're so cool. Would probably choose Formby if I just wanted to visit a beach, however. Love seeing all of the wind turbines from here, though, don't know what it is about them I just love seeing them all spinning out in the ocean.

It's a great beach with the cool statues. I dropped a star because I did a nurdle hunt there (nurdles are tiny pieces of plastic melted down to manufacturethe final product but some can spill. They can absorb toxins and are very dangerous to wildlife) and there were so many nurdles when you look close at the sand. Otherwise it is great and it is dog friendly which is a big plus. I think it is well worth a visit, especially if you are local, there are many good cafes near it too. P.s I'm not sure on the quality of the water I've never swam in it and I don't think I have seen many people swim in it either.

Visited on a Saturday late afternoon to catch the sunset.,it was so busy. We usually park at the leisure centre but it was too busy. Nothing there for children except sea and sand, oh and a very expensive ice cream van.
