Small menu of well executed items served by a friendly and attentive team. Visited for breakfast on a Saturday around 9AM. The restaurant was about 3/4 which includes an assortment of booths and tables as well as outdoor dining. You order from the posted menu at the counter and have your food delivered to your table. I had the egg, protein, and toast along with a coffee. The food was delivered expediently (under 10 minutes) to our table. Everything was as expected and delicious. The scrambled eggs were fluffy, and the sausage patty had the perfect spice/seasoning mix. Even the coffee was excellent and had a mild bright flavor. I will definitely be back again!

9/23 update: went here with my family this morning for breakfast. Food was delicious, coffee was good and we all had a wonderful experience. They updated some of the seating options and we really liked it. My sister said a few times that she enjoyed every bite. Mothers only complaint was the burrito she ordered was just an egg in a tortilla.. thankfully my sister and I had plenty of extra food to share. Cute place in cross plains. Not a bad place. I came here for the special I saw on a FB community group. It was a waffle BLT with hashbrowns. The BLT was really good. The hashbrowns looked really delicious but tasted like the oil hadn't been changed in a while. They were not edible for me or my friend. The owner comes out and says hello to people which I do enjoy. Lots of baked goods. Service is kind of slow as kids were working and they didn't seem to know how everything works.. but that's okay. You gotta start somewhere 😉 My other complaint is the establishment has a no dogs sign on the window. But a couple who is clearly friendly with the owner came in with their dog. The dog was held by the woman and allowed to put it's paws on the table while they ate their breakfast. Dog is shown in one of my photos. They need to make themselves more apparent as you'd never know they existed if you drove by. At least a classic a-frame sign outside. Came

Vessel cafe is a beautiful small town cafe open brunch hours wed-sunday. They hire mostly town high schoolers and students and pay well from what I have heard. I have had a lot of burritos in my life, but I am not exaggerating when I say their breakfast burrito is the best burrito I have ever had. I personally get it with Maple Sausage and Candied Bacon, and it is to die for. They always have an amazing assortment of bakery items and the atmosphere is always fantastic. Great job to Shawn and the Vessel Team!

If you’re looking for a restaurant with a homey, comfortable vibe, this is it! The owners greet you with a smile and a hearty welcome. The baked goods are all homemade and fresh. The food is made to order and always delicious. The service is friendly and excellent. We’ve never had a bad meal! But, I am partial to the homemade cinnamon rolls. 😁

Great location, prices and staff! Had the breakfast special of hazelnut pancakes with fried eggs and 2 strips of bacon as well as chocolate chip pancakes cooked to perfection! The pancakes are the best I’ve ever had- super fluffy and BIG! Grabbed some cinnamon rolls, a scotcharoo and a s’mores cookie for later. The cinnamon rolls are out of this world good! Great job guys. Any time I’m thinking n town I’ll be sure to stop by. Thank you!

Food was great (seriously, the pancakes might have been the best I've ever had anywhere) but the service was something else and not in a good way. Between the server trying to clear my wife's plate as she was holding her fork on it and the constant interruptions while we were finishing our coffee, it was made clear to me that we were in the way and our presence was undesired.

Contemporary cafe with delicious twist on breakfast sandwiches. Nice selection of bakery items, too. Set just off the main street with a view of the river.

I enjoyed breakfast on the patio last Saturday at the Vessel Cafe. The staff were so warm and friendly, I felt like a local. Food was really good! I am looking forward to visiting them again asap. There are lots of tempting options on the menu and I can't wait to see what the specials are!

Today's soup was just like what my mother used to make. Zucchini, hamburger, potato, and melted cheese. What a wonderful "taste" memory. Everything was fresh from baked goods to entres.

Not really worth your $$. Eggs overdone and grizzly. One piece of toast with meals, not two as customary. The bacon was leathery. Read all the positive reviews but wonder if these are all local supporters. The entire staff were teenagers! With the rising costs of eating out, spend it elsewhere.

My kids and I stopped by to have a little breakfast treat and were delighted by the friendly service, the comfortable atmosphere and the very delicious food. It was a terrific experience, and everyone was welcoming. Would heartily recommend.
