I
made
a
reservation
with
the
front
office
agent
on
Friday
Sept
24,
2021
for
breakfast
at
10
am
Saturday
Sept
25,
2021.
I
asked
her
to
email
me
the
breakfast
menu.
She
told
me
she
would
send
the
menu
by
email
and
confirmed
my
reservation
for
10
am.
I
did
not
receive
the
email
with
the
menu.
I
arrived
with
my
party
of
5
at
Strawberry
Hill
on
Saturday
at
10:30
am
only
to
be
told
by
the
security
guard
that
they
had
no
reservation
for
me
and
as
the
restaurant
was
full
I
could
not
be
accommodated.
I
called
the
front
office
and
spoke
to
the
agent
Samantha.
She
recalled
speaking
to
me
the
day
before,
but
advised
that
a
deposit
of
US$20
had
to
be
paid
to
hold
the
reservation.
That
was
the
first
time
I
was
being
told
about
this
US$20
deposit.
I
explained
to
her
that
I
was
not
told
yesterday
that
a
deposit
was
required
to
hold
the
reservation
and
that
I
had
confirmed
the
reservation
for
5
persons
over
the
phone
yesterday.
She
told
me
that
that
information
was
in
the
email.
I
told
her
I
had
not
received
the
email.
She
calmly
told
me
that
unfortunately
they
could
not
accommodate
us
as
the
restaurant
was
full.
Whilst
I
recognize
that
there
might
have
been
a
misunderstanding
the
facts
are:
1)
I
was
told
yesterday
by
the
front
desk
person
that
my
reservation
was
confirmed.
2)
I
was
not
told
yesterday
that
in
order
to
confirm
the
reservation
I
needed
to
respond
to
the
mail
and
pay
a
$20
deposit.
3)
Even
if
this
information
was
in
the
email,
I
did
not
receive
the
email,
therefore
I
would
not
have
known
that
this
was
required.
4)
On
my
arrival
at
the
compound
today
with
my
party
of
5,
which
included
3
overseas
visitors,
on
realizing
that
there
was
a
mixup,
some
effort
could
have
been
made
to
accommodate
us.
5)
I
am
very
surprised
and
disappointed
at
the
EXTREMELY
poor
customer
service
of
Strawberry
Hills
Restaurant.
Over
the
years
I
had
considered
the
establishment
to
be
one
of
high
standards
and
would
have
expected
them
to
have
endeavoured
to
provide
excellent
customer
service,
especially
on
realizing
that
there
was
a
mixup
at
their
front
office.
