I
really,
really
wanted
this
place
to
be
good
but
unfortunately
it's
a
mediocre
bakery.
The
staff
is
great
but
the
bread
and
baked
goods
(the
most
important
part!)
are
not
very
good.
I've
been
to
Great
Harvest
Bakery
about
4-5
times
now
and
purchased
or
sampled
most
of
their
breads.
Every
single
bread
I've
tried
has
been
extremely
dense
and
about
half
have
been
under-cooked
and
somewhat
doughy
in
the
middle.
They
make
primarily
sandwich-type
breads
like
white
or
wheat
along
with
some
other
wilder
varieties
based
on
these.
The
problem
is
I
can't
justify
spending
$5-6
on
a
loaf
of
traditional
white/wheat
bread
when
I
can
get
a
decent
loaf
for
less
(that's
certainly
more
consistent)
at
the
grocery
store
or
I
can
get
unquestionably
better
bread
at
Costco
for
half
the
price.
If
I
had
any
advice
for
the
owners,
it
would
be:
(1)
you're
focusing
on
the
wrong
kind
of
bread.
I
generally
come
to
a
bakery
to
get
bread
that
I
can't
get
good
versions
in
the
grocery
store.
This
means
I'm
looking
for
things
like
sourdough
round
loaves,
baguettes,
batards,
croissants,
etc.
Not
generally
white/wheat
loaves
for
$6.
(2)
you
need
to
do
a
better
job
making
sure
the
bread
is
actually
good.
I
don't
enjoy
dense,
under-cooked
loaves.
