Lakewood Forest Preserve Winter Sports Area

Tourist attraction Park

👍👍 An absolutely beautiful forest preserve. Perfect for mountain/hybrid biking and trail running or hiking. The trails are mostly fine gravel, very wide, and well maintained. Horses frequently come through and the droppings are quickly cleaned up. Restrooms are nice and clean. I have come here for many... People often mention trails,

Well maintained trails, super pretty, and lots of wild life. Let's put if this way for people still reading, you can take a stroller anywhere on the trails no problem and it isn't like the kids will be bouncing around like their off roading.

The trails are kept clean and the views are nice! Dogs are allowed but need to be on leash, you may occasionally see horses.

Great trail for cross country skiing. They groom it after it snows and the trail is huge and goes for a fairly long distance. Good parking lot and it’s fairly clear where you have to go to park and everything

Paved and gravel paths. Great to walk, run, bike, or horseback ride! Lots of inclines, so be aware of that.
