Balanced espresso with well-steamed milk and inventive, delicious house made syrups. The Crème Brûlée Latte, Honey Latte, and Molasses Cappuccino were all great. Can’t go wrong here!

Well I once had the perfectly frothed milk with an exceptional shot at this place, but it's been pretty bad the last two times I've tried this place. This time the shot was burned slightly, the milk has poor texture. If you get bad coffee get them to make again until the milk has no large bubbles.

Coffee delicious! Omg the flavor incredibly rich and full of aromas. I got a latte with liquid sugar and a chocolate croissant. Its hard to see it from the street but if you walk to address you wont miss it. I definitely recommend.

I have been to Cognoscenti Coffee in Culver City a few times and my cortado or cappuccino has always been on point, great look and taste. On top of that, they carry fantastic pastries from Friends & Family, which I think has the best wholesale pastries in LA. The small storefront has an industrial vibe that quite fits Culver City, and the little outdoor patio has a strange appeal to me. I would have gone back more often but one of the baristas has a condescending vibe that I don't appreciate. Also, once he went from counting a deck of dollar bills straight to making my coffee. I was definitely not comfortable.

Quality coffee with baristas who know their craft. The latte was perfectly balanced.

Good place for a quick coffee, it’s pretty quaint, but my friend and I sat out in the patio for a little more privacy which was nice. I got an iced seasonal latte which was good as well. Metered parking nearby.

Stopped at this coffee shop driving from LAX to WeHo. Definitely worth the stop. Enjoyed an espresso and an oat milk latte. They had kombucha available as well. I bought a bag of beans to take home I enjoyed the coffee so much. Will definitely be back next time I’m in the area. Indoor and outdoor seating available. And they served my latte in a mug which I loved.

Honestly loved my experience here. More eclectic type of shop. With two nerdy guys that I enjoyed thoroughly. Not everyone will. I had great coffee, unassuming and affordable.

Decided to head down to Cognoscenti Coffee on December 6, 2023. There was plenty of paid parking (11:30am weekday), parked right in front, hassle free. Upon entering, we were greeted by the barista right away. As always, a warm greeting adds to the experience and environment. The barista made sure to answer any questions. Regarding the environment, it’s welcoming and not aimed for a specific group of people (hipsters), as mentioned by other reviewers. There was plenty of seating inside, outside, and in their “patio” (located within the building). I ordered a v60 pour-over, beans offered were Gesha from Chiapas Mexico, and my partner ordered a hot vanilla latte. Upon receiving the drinks, the latte caught my attention, meticulously crafted with flawless foam. The pour-over was executed well, perfect temperature that allowed the coffee to elicit notes of orange, furthermore the last couple of sips I noted more of the ginger. I did not receive any bitterness nor acidity. Upon finishing my pour-over, I took a sip of the vanilla latte, which had a delightful taste of vanilla (not the typical generic vanilla), I do believe it’s house made. If you’re reading up to this point, Cognoscenti offers pastries from Friends & Family, which I’ve had countless of times now, their pastries are flaky, soft, and delicious (make sure to get it warmed up to get the full experience). Furthermore, enjoy the drinks in a mug or glass. Overall, the pour-over was great and the vanilla latte as well. The barista was attentive and friendly. Would I recommend this location to friends or family? Yes I would and I will definitely return to try out the other beans offered for the v60.

Latte is pleasantly sized (10oz instead of the usual 12oz), very consistent over the years and the people here have a great attitude. Not big on pastries, usual croissants and muffins, but limited.

High quality craft coffee at a great price point. Their macchiatos are very well done. I also tried a flat white and was pleased that it was done perfectly and wasn’t just a latte called a flat white. Great shop and I’ll definitely be back again.

Great coffee and quiet location. limited food offerings but very worth stopping for coffee and even buying some beans to take home, they'll grind them for you if you need.

Really dialed in pour overs and espresso-based drinks! Can't believe this place is not more popular. Better coffee than most of the buzzy spots you hear about all the time on coffee youtube channels.

Coffee was good, but the baristas are rude if you don't tip, even if it's to go. On top of their $8.50 pour-over. No wonder why they don't list their prices. The barista put my open drink on top of the bakery counter without saying anything, with people breathing on it. After a while later they mention it mine

One of my favorite places to get my beans. They have their own, plus a variety of options from other roasters. Folks there are always really nice and helpful as well.

I can’t put into words how incredible my experience was. After finishing my latte I broke out in tears. Thank you for bringing so much joy into my life ❤️

The pastries here are divine, super flaky and scrumptious. I love the ham and cheese croissant. The coffee is just as fantastic. People here are friendly and they play good music in the background. Highly recommend.

I ordered a simple honey latte. Coffee was average. Not bad but not great either. But the main point is that the atmosphere was not welcoming. Old man working at the counter talking to another employee seemed rude. Coming in, I was looking at the merch up front on the table for not even a minute when he asked if I was going to order. Ok, sorry I interrupted your conversation by being a customer? Was given my coffee by the barista and then right back to talking. Culver City has plenty of other good coffee shops that don't give off this pretentious vibe. Try them instead.

They live up to their name and really know their coffee. Friendly community atmosphere. And when I had a miscommunication on how to grind my coffee, he gave me a new bag and wouldn't accept any more money for it. Highly recommend.

It was alright, didn't impress me as much as I hoped it would. The coffee was good but not amazing, and the pastry we got was also pretty good. The space inside is tiny and kind of awkward because there's nowhere to sit that isn't 5 feet from the employees staring right at you. The employees seemed friendly enough but it just wasn't the right atmosphere for my preference. There is some outdoor seating and a patio which is where we chose to sit. The pastry selection is a bit limited and the coffee was decent. I would go here again, but I have a few other coffee places nearby that I vibe with much better than this place for around the same price. Piggybacking on some other reviews mentioning the "hipster" atmosphere, I can say I definitely felt that but it was just a bit too much for me here. It's definitely more geared towards the mega-hipster crowd who identify as coffee lovers. Also do note that they don't allow dogs of any size inside so you'll have to have a friend order for you or take turns with the dog outside.

Undoubtedly, the best coffee shop in the city! I'm so glad that eventually, just in time, I was able to find this place for some good coffee. The environment inside the coffee shop was very lively and calming. I'm sure I'll give them a five-star for all they've done. Very cool! Wow, thank you very much, guys!

I had a nice time at this coffee shop. Their coffee had a bitter-sweet flavor that I especially liked. Their barista was also exceptionally well-dressed and sexy. It was a very calming and enjoyable atmosphere. They also served tasty pastries, which went particularly well with their freshly brewed coffee. It was a great time to get a cup of coffee. It is firmly recommended!

I had a great stay at this coffee shop. The taste of their coffee was a bitter-sweet, which I like the most. Their barista was so neat and good looking as well. The place was so cozy and relaxing. They also served pastries which are very tasteful, especially when you paired it with their freshly brewed coffee. It was such a great coffee time. Highly recommended!

It was ok. Considering it was a small unique place they didn’t have a huge variety and their chai which is a specialty had an awkward taste. I drove very far to try this place.

A gem in the neighborhood. Solid latte with top quality coffee (not those sugary mud liquid you get at other places!), fast WiFi, friendly barista. Will be back!

Happiness in a cup. You cant go wrong with this gem of a coffee place. Sadly all the croissants were sold out. Nice place to hang out as well. Street parking for free near by. Great, friendly staff
