What a great find! Was in the area and saw the crowed Diner...always a good sign. Had a great experience: delicious food with servers who delivered outstanding customer service. Very impressed. Lots of regulars dining. Will be back. Highly recommended

While waiting at the DMV and feeling hungry, we stumbled upon the Squeaky Rail Diner, and it turned out to be a wonderful find. The standout feature was the exceptional service, with our sweet and attentive waitress, Shannon, ensuring our orders were taken promptly. The omelettes were tasty, and the pancake was absolutely delicious. If you’re in the area and in need of a quick and satisfying meal, Squeaky Rail Diner is definitely worth a visit.

Got seated promptly and then got our beverages promptly. We were then told that our waitress would take our order shortly. Twenty minutes later, one of the many waitresses on duty finally came over and asked if anyone had taken our orders yet. She took our order and was very apologetic that the waitress that was supposed to help us never came to wait on us. The food (when we finally got it) was a mixed bag. The salad and the salad dressing were superb. The main course that we both got was the chicken and waffles that was one of the day's specials. The waffles themselves and the chicken were good. Unfortunately, they were drowned in a gravy that tasted all the world like Campbell's cream of chicken soup. I wound up scraping off as much of the gravy as I could. And the coleslaw was too chunky for our tastes. When we were done with our meals, we again waited for at least 10 minutes for our waitress to come ask if we wanted any dessert. We said no thanks, just the check please. We were very disappointed with the level of service we received, given that there were plenty of waitresses on duty.

It is very quaint little place, situated across the road from The Enola Yards a Norfolk Southern railway hub. This play sax your typical diner food. It has a lot to choose from on the menu and everything is prepared very good. This place is a very nice place and has really great food. If the restaurant isn't too crowded you can actually hear the trains being connected.

When I left this place I was not sure how I was really going to rate this location. The only reason why this location is getting atleast 3 stars is the food is great and I want to recognize Christina, our server, who was very professional, had good poise even when it was so busy and always had a smile on her face regardless of the unnecessary chaos in this restaurant. I personally chose not to come back here even though I stayed a week right next door at the Quality Inn. There is a young white woman working there, with tatoos, who kept dropping things and bumping into things, spilling soda and tossing things into a bin underneath the desk. She had an intolerable personality and I don't know how any of the workers there dealt with her. It really did ruin my dinner watching this person run all over like there was a fire up her butt. I think this person should be removed from working with customers on the main floor. Parking here is great, the bathroom was clean, the restaurant was fairly organized and had nice decor. 02/03/2024 5:47 pm

Conveniently shares parking lot with the hotel, just drive around back from hotel. Got the cheese steak sandwich and it was very tasty, even the bread. All cooked just right. It looks small from the outside but seems larger inside.

I've been a frequent, loyal customer for years and years. Since new management took over and renamed it "Squeaky Rail Diner", the food quality has definitely improved. The servers are friendly and helpful. The prices are reasonable and within reason for the area

The food was pretty good though their breakfast steak was hamburger though for the price I should have figured it was not real steak. The eggs Benedict was really good but I asked for it without tomato and it came with tomato. I give 4 stars because there was a few small problems with the food which I just mentioned above. I was sad to not hear any train noises in the restaurant but the waitress says they are very frequent. The waitresses were nice food was okay I would say it's a good stop if you want to go to a local diner and not spend a unreasonable amount of money.

Went to this restaurant for lunch on the way to Smoky Mountain. Had BBQ ribs and it was a pleasant surprise. Service was good too.

The chicken pot pie was delicious! Waitress was friendly and attentive. This is a good diner with good food and good servers. The diner was clean, the decor is "diner".

Consistently solid meals. I get exactly what I expect every time. I like to know what I am going to get when I go out to eat. The Rail delivers in that department! Service at the counter is good. Servers are on top of service! There is no wanting for anything, they will fix you right up. Plenty of booth and table seating in addition to the counter. Daily specials with a dessert case filled with pies and more. I use breakfast there as a reason to fire up a motorcycle and go for a ride.

Service was great. Our waitress was very gracious and helpful. However the food was lacking. The meal I ordered wasn't made to my request and it taste terrible. I don't think this is a place I will be coming back too anytime soon.

The server was everything for this location. I wish I had remembered her name (no reflection on her but on myself). She was very personable, whitty, and funny. I had the seafood omelet, which was okay and the atmosphere, well... it's a diner. I'd go back and if I would definitely hope the server I had was there. I remember her face, next time I will be sure to remember her name!

I'm generally not a fan of Enola or anything in it, but this place is the exception. Excellent service and amazing food that is surprisingly cheap for how good it is. I definitely recommend any of their breakfast meals (served all day), especially anything with their sausage gravy.

My Dad and I started going to Squeaky Rail for our Thanksgiving & Christmas meals about 2 years ago. The Food is very reasonably price but most of all Very good with a vast selection from breakfast to dinners with favorable portions that will fill you up. I usually ask my Dad to rate his experiences and he and I agree and give it a 9/10. I was Super Impressed by our Waitress this Christmas on how Great she was to Us but most of All to Others. She showed She Cared which is Priceless now a days!!! It was extremely busy when we arrived.

One of the worst meals I ever had. The only thing good was the real mashed potatoes. I got the 1/2 chicken and it was dry and rubbery. She got the roast beef and said it was the worst. The deserts are great but they come from a bakery in Baltimore. McDonald’s would have been better.
