The Crabby Pig is an awesome place to get your food fix. The crab is ALWAYS fresh and meaty. The pulled pork is amazing!! It has the perfect amount of sauce and smoke flavor. Hush puppies and crab did are a must!! Awesome service even know they had several big parties today. Our waitress Rachel was AMAZING!!! The restaurant is very clean and even know we sat inside, the outside seating looked very comfortable. I would recommend this place in a heartbeat!!!

Stopped In for lunch on the way to rocky gap casino. Parking can be a challenge if you're not familiar as we were. We let Google guide us in and were able to find parking quite easily on a Wednesday at 1:30 pm. Atmosphere was relaxed with a mixture of walkers and bicyclists, since this restaurant is feet off of the cumberland bike trail. lunch did not disappoint. My wife and I tried the crab dip, which is a must, chunks of crab with garlic toast pieces. I had the crab soup, which was also good, but I thought could have been a little bit thicker , but was very flavorful with chunks of crab . We split a crab sandwich, broiled, which had loads of crab with little filler , and a pulled pork sandwich to try some barbecue that this place is also known for. We found service excellent and even had an afternoon cocktail to begin our upcoming casino adventure. We spent some time afterward soaking up the relaxing bike trail experience as well. Weekends maybe just the opposite due to the limited parking and all the recreational activities that this area offers. Definitely worth an off hours/day try! We will be back again soon.

The food was delicious especially the lobster crab soup😋😋😋...since was pretty warm outside we decided to eat inside. The servers were nice although it took awhile to get and handle our bill but overall a cool place to dine.😊

First time at this restaurant. We looked up the reviews first-just as you are doing now. 😀 We went on a Sunday and there was a good amount of parking under the bridge and it didn't cost anything. We were seated right away, and they offered outside seating as well as inside. My husband ordered the lunch rib sampler plate, and I ordered the broiled crab cake sandwich. The ribs were good but a bit tough. And the baked beans were really good. My crab cake wasn't even warm in the center, and it needed some kind of additional seasoning, in my opinion. There were quite a few pieces of shell in my crab cake also. They do have some good reviews, so certainly try it out for yourself.

Update 5/1/22: another excellent meal in a laid back atmosphere! The patio is by the water and a playground which is clutch for folks with young kids. Husb loved the chicken with crab on top and kiddo enjoyed the hot dog. Wait staff is super attentive too! Delicious crab cakes, my hubs liked the lunch steak a lot, and the kids chicken tenders were good too. Nice patio and located by the locks but also a bit noisy near a freeway overpass.

Delicious food, big portions, fantastic service!! We shared a large crab bisque (cream of crab soup—amazing and really full of crab meat) and the Captain’s Platter. We loved trying the various seafood. Everything was perfectly seasoned and delicious. My only suggestion — go with fries over broiled fish. Fries are delicious as well. Decor makes you feel you might be in Ocean City. Great spot, and because it’s Nov, there wasn’t a lot of customers and we got seated right away. The restaurant is just steps away from the Fairfield Inn (Marriott) and right next to the canal and walking paths.

My family and I recently dined at the Crabby Pig in Cumberland Maryland. The restaurant is located in beautiful downtown Cumberland, and has an ideal location! It is located right near the railroad and the canal. It has abundant outdoor seating. We were hoping to sit outside but it was raining over the weekend. The inside of the restaurant was spacious and accommodating. We ordered a variety of things. I ordered the crab soup which was very good. There was a fair amount of real crab meat in it. It had a good flavor and was very hearty. My children ordered the shrimp and grilled cheese. They thought everything was delicious. My wife ordered the chicken Chesapeake and said it was very good also. I ordered a captain's platter which included two sides which consisted of a baked potato and baked beans. The entrees included broiled fish, scallops, shrimp, and a crab cake. The shrimp was a bit skimpy and the crab cake did not have a very good flavor to it. For being a broiled crab cake it had zero crust. It was extremely mushy and almost sour/bitter. The restaurant was not particularly busy the day we were there but the staff was not involved at our table. We went long periods of times without getting refills. While they were far from rude they were also very disconnected from our table. The only other word of caution is the price. It is a bit steep for the amount of food you get. The price did not balance out with the quantity nor quality. Would most definitely try this place again in the future though.

Stopped after work for lunch. It's kind of a hidden gem. Staff was pleasant and there were customers. Looks like a good stop on the GAP trail. AJ was the man!!! Will stop again

Nice local resturant. We had to wait about 20 minutes; but not too bad for a Friday night. The waitress were doing a great job. The food was excellent and priced well. We had mussels, salad, chicken fettuccine, and all you can eat fried frish. Highly recommend. A lot of good choices it was hard to decied.

What a great find on our leaf peeping road trip! Not only is the food delicious, but the service was on point. Thank you again Rachel! It's also right next to a historic railroad station.

Ran into this little place while walking down by the canal. The food was delicious. We had fish platters, ribs, chili and Angus burger with crab on top, all great. The staff was super sweet and the place was quiet and relaxing. Can't wait to come back in and try more things off the menu.

We came to town for the Polar Express. The line was long to get in but we had time to kill. The line went faster than expected. Thought it was more of a barbecue joint because of the name until we got inside and realized it was more of a seafood place. Looked at all the reviews and assessed that I shouldn’t buy the high priced meals. Too many complaints or iffy things I would wanna spend 37-45$ a plate on. Just got the steamed shrimp platter with sweet slaw and Mac n cheese. It tasted average really. The shrimp were definitely not hot enough the whole way through. My boys loved the french fries and chicken. The fries are really good. The wife got the fries with cheese and pulled pork on it. Pulled pork needs a better bbq sauce imo. The hush puppies were the best thing we had! Overall we enjoyed it although a bit pricey.

I asked for small soup samples and they happily obliged. I was thankful because I chose Jambalaya instead of creamy crab (not the best). Jamba was excellent! It had enough kick but not excessive. I had house salad too, but sadly the salad is from a bag...no bueno. Spouse had Pork sampler. The pulled pork was tasty. The ribs were average- not "fall of the bone". Fried were crisp and golden. Ketchup contains HFCS. 😩 Average food... Spend wisely. Service was very nice and attentive.

I had the pleasure of dining at Crabby Pig recently, and I must say it was an exceptional experience! From the moment I walked in, the cozy and inviting atmosphere set the tone for a delightful meal. Now, let's talk about the food – the seafood at Crabby Pig is second to none. Their crab dishes were absolutely mouthwatering, with the perfect blend of flavors and spices. I couldn't get enough of the crab cakes and the seafood boil – each bite was a taste of the ocean. But it's not just about the seafood; the menu offers a variety of options for every palate. Whether you're a seafood enthusiast or prefer other options, there's something for everyone. The service was top-notch as well. The staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, making excellent recommendations. Crabby Pig truly delivers a memorable dining experience, and I can't wait to return for another scrumptious meal. If you're a seafood lover, this place is an absolute must-visit!

This is a cute place in a fun location. It has so much potential but the food is under seasoned and came out really slow. The best thing we had were the mussels with the pork bbq coming in second. The cream of crab soup had plenty of crab but not enough old bay. The grouper sandwich was good but had very little seasoning and was not served with lettuce and tomato. The crab cake sandwich was a disappointment with most of the meat being pretty mushy. With better sandwiches toppings, fresher lettuce and tomatoes and some custom sauces this place could really rock!

Awesome food. Great atmosphere, and our waitress was very happy and friendly. And it was only about a five minute walk from the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad depot.

I couldn't have been more pleased and fulfilled by a meal after coming off my 3-day, 150-mile ride! The Crabby Pig came highly recommended to me by my riding partner who makes it a point to add a meal here to the finish line experience. I'm so glad we made it a point to eat here!

Excellent food and great service! My husband had the shrimp linguine, and I had the broiled grouper. It was the best fish I’ve ever had in a restaurant- super moist and flaky, with great seasoning. We had the stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer- and the waitress brought them out incredibly fast. I had the Canal Water cocktail- really fun a delicious. If we were staying in town longer, we’d go back and try other things on the menu.

Was there for AYCE crab legs and ribs . Our waitress was very friendly and on point. Each time/round they brought several clusters of legs didn't short ya on this like some places do. Definitely recommend definitely will return

I travel that area a lot and always stop in and service is always great! How ever when we were being seated on 5/27/23 the lady seating us tried 3 times to seat us and the out side bartender rudely told her to seat us some where else! Finley ended up near the ramp and we talk about going down it and going somewhere else! We did stay and the new girl (Kelsey) was wonderful.

The seafood was very bland ordered the platters and some other things. Also had to wait a very long time for a waiter which didn't really bother me. But the food was not up to par or what I expected seafood to taste like. The Prices were very reasonable though.

Maryland steamed blue crab was great, on par with other places we’ve had around Baltimore and Rehoboth Delaware. I would pass on the bay crab soup unless you like overwhelming tomato soup.

Really enjoyed my lunch here. Friendly staff, great area, and awesome fresh seafood. Had the haddock sandwich and crab stuffed mushrooms, both were excellent.

Food is nice. Seafood and bbq are the best but the salad looks beaten up. The service is good food came early but our server is hard to find since she didn't leave any utensil. The atmosphere is ok. Under the train rail next to a park.

My wife & I were in town to attend Heritage Days and had lunch here. It's a short walk from the downtown mall and an even shorter walk from the train station. Service was quick & attentive and the food was very good. I had the BBQ sandwich lunch special and my wife had the fish & shrimp. No complaints. If you prefer to eat outside, there is a large outside seating area hard by the C&O canal and under I-68. $40 w/tip. Very reasonable.

This place was great.the food was top notch and prices very reasonable. I usually only say staff was friendly but I have too tell you Rachel went above and beyond to help with explaining what everything was and if she like the dish. Will be back for sure only took a few pictures to share. Oh and when Rachel found out it was my birthday I got a free choice of dessert (I took apple dumpling ) ☆☆☆☆☆Thank you

I was excited after seeing the menu and had high expectations. HOWEVER I was disappointed from the moment we walked into this restaurant. We stood at the door for 10 or more minutes before someone noticed us. Then the server took another 15 min. Before she came to ask us about drinks. AFTER WE ORDERED we waited 45 min for our meal which came out cold and overcooked. The ribs were too dried out to eat and my scallops were cold and rubbery. The hot dog we ordered for our child wasn't ready with the rest of the food and when it came out was super hot. We saw other people waiting for extended times at the door being ignored. SERVICE was terrible and food was inedible but Bill was extraordinary. Over 100 for 3 people. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS RESTAURANT.
