NOT RECOMMENDED. Unfortunately we ignored the RECENT reviews and decided to give this place a chance. The place looks ok, but the service and food are both absolutely terrible! This was one of the worst experience I have been through in a very long time. Fresh juice was promised, instead syrup juice was delivered. Our entrée was uncooked from the inside. 1 hour 20 minutes in and we didn't get a chance to order the main course. When we decided to leave since they messed up the drink and our entrée, but the manager wanted us to pay for food that was inedible (we did not eat it) and drink that was undrinkable (we did not drink). We were ready to pay for what we actually consumed, regardless if we liked it or not, but for things that were inedible we were not ready to pay. The manager decided to throw insults and continued by telling us we have poor taste. The only poor taste we have had recently is picking this sorry excuse for a restaurant. I might add, waiters were NOT at all rude, but the manager and the barman are real pieces of work. Save your money, time and energy. - Poor service. - Poor quality. - Ill mannered staff. - Overall deceiving. - Just lack of etiquettes and professionalism. NOT RECOMMENDED. If I could i'd give this place -10 stars.

A really nice place to have some Indian Food with quite a unique taste. My fav would be Chilli 65 and a delicious Mutton Briyani. They also serve Veg & Non-Veg Indian Thali during lunch time!!

Absolutely liked it. Relatively easy to find in Curepipe. Parking is fine. Best is to reserve by calling first. Once you reach, you see a relatively new building that mixes modern architecture and a rustic touch. Greeted by waiters who check reservation and you are then requested to follow another waiter who will help you find your table and take orders. Mauritian and foreign employees (Chinese waitress was absolutely polite and kind and helpful). Menus are very varied and very tasty. Seating comfortable and spacious. Decorations very nice. Toilet facilities fine. Clean. Outdoor seating also available. Prices are usual for place. Good value for money. Totally recommended!

The food itself was tasty despite the mine frite lacking prawns (only 2 pieces in the entire portion) however service was incredibly slow. We received our starters 1 plate at a time and when we received our main course it was cold. Then when we asked for another warm plate they simply microwaved the food and gave it back to us.

The fried rice is was so salty. The rice was overcooked and sticky. The portions served were so small for the high prices that we paid. The poulet merveilles we took did not taste good at all. The soft drinks were 80 rs each and were supposed to be pressurized as written down in the menu. But the soft drinks did not taste bubbly at all , supermarkets drinks way better. The drinks were served in a small glass and it was 80 rs. Overall The food quality really bad for the price. I feel I got scammed.

If you are around curepipe and want to have lunch with families or friends, sapin d'or is the ideal place. Easily located near the botanical curepipe garden. Forest type and cold place. Great to walk around and parking facilities. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. A large variety of foods are available :chinese, indian, local and ect cuisine are available. The portion can be shared. The price is very affordable to grow in groups. Would definitely recommend my friends to have lunch or dinner there. Great decors and outstanding place. A tour eiffel is beautifully constructed in the garden.

One of the best restaurant where I've been to. The food is excellent and not overpriced. Everything was delicious and belly filling. Do try it!

What an exquisite place to eat, to dine, to have a digestive feeling 👌as you enter the courtyard, greenery surrounds you and puts you into a positive vibe, the restaurant itself is very large and spacious. Kudos for the round tables 😁 food is very delicious, try the "ourite croustiant" one of the rare and best entree. Black beans, hot pot, sea food, chicken and lamb simply mouth watering as i am writing this. The waitress is very kind, attentive and professional, mauritian hospitality is something else!! I had such a good time there. Just to the side of the resto, you can find a smaller version of the Eiffel tower, in front of it a pathway with some green plants and trees, so much peace even in the rain 😉 highly Recommended

Frankly very bad service. Our food came to our table before our drinks & not in the right order although it was not a busy night. There were like 3 tables max. Unpolite & no food knowledge waiter. On the other hand, food is excellent, delicious & perfect. Hats off to the kitchen staff.

Mainly Chinese food. Being a fan of Asian, I'll convene it's well cooked. The atmosphere is ok. Good place for birthdays and end of year diners. It's located in an old colonial property for those which are fan of history. Menu is chicken,fish,lamb,venison and seafood based. No porc or beef... Price is above average. Parking are available. It's a smoke free zone. The service is good, well I would have prefer local guys ..

Our nth time to Sapin d'or. You will enjoy more or less the same menu as at at Comlone Restaurant. However, the atmosphere is more calm and serene. Food was yum and service was good. It seats both indoors and outdoors!

My favourite restaurant in town. Absolutely amazing. As always, the food was mouth-watering, cooked perfectly, the service was excellent and the price not extremely high. It's actually accommodating less people due to the actual covid19 restrictions so be sure to book beforehand. Greatly recommending.

Service was good but food was not value for money. Took a special fried noodles for over Rs 300 but receive only 3 small shrimps on it. Took sizzling lamb only a few piece of lamb with so much vegetables on it. Not satisfied with the food at all.

Has been a go-to for chinese food. However quality has reduced and expectation has gone down. Room for improvement!

The atmosphere is very good, service also is good but almost all the food is tasteless. Might be because of rush. I highly recommend chef to taste it before sending it and especially the meat.

Called them to book beforehand. When i reached there they had a totally different story. Said they have no table for 2. Staff is not welcoming and quite cold. Did not even apologise. If you are coming from far i suggest you do not take the risk of driving all the way to that restaurant even if you booked.

What to say! Waiting time to get main is way too long and we were the first customers inside. Portion served are small and overpriced. Food is average lacks some flavours as all our main tasted almost same though they were different (chicken, calamari, fish) was not a nice experience for me. There's quite a few stuff to improve.

Excellent and delicious food! The atmosphere is very comfortable, warm and always full of people. Very clean washrooms. It's a Very good place to go for New Year's, a birthday, or just to spend quality time with your family. ❤😊 However I recommend going early as service takes long as the place is always filled with people.

Went for an early lunch. Despite the website saying they open at 10am, the kitchen only opens at 11am, but staff were happy to seat us for drinks. Staff were attentive and polite. Food portions were generous, but taste average. Pricing for 3 starters, 3 mains and 5 sodas was approximately Rs3500.

The food is sooooo good. Lamb Sizzling is a must try. The waitors are very kind, helpful. Impeccable service🤝🏽.

Expensive for the quality of food you get. Its nothing out of ordinary. Just ok. The only thing worthwhile i guess are the fried starters. It is a quiet and nice place but nothing more. Wont go again. I think you are paying more for the environment than for the food.

Could be better if they respect food preparation protocols...I.e use separate recipients for sea food and non sea food....had experienced severe allergies with food prepared in oil that was previously used to prepare sea food
