Review: the beautiful colonials house 'Domaine aux Aubnaux' was built in 1872. Have a walk trough the house and do not miss to the dining room with a fantastic view of the garden. Entry fee: 650 rupees entrance fee (not guided tour) including either rum oder tea tasting. Parking: there is a parking lot directly located next to the house.

Great place to stop for food and enjoy the calm and beautiful garden. A place of history (the original furniture and decorations of the former French owners is still there like in a museum), a place of peace and a cool breeze from the trees when the rest of the island is hot and steamy. Try the vanilla chicken with rice - real vanilla is used and it just tastes amazing <3

I had an excellent experience. Very friendly staff, the park is really beautiful, the restaurant was great and the food amongst the best I had in Mauritius - at a reasonable price considering the location. Would definitely recommend to visit for lunch!

As soon as you go through the drive way you get these peaceful scenery mixed with soft whirling and fresh wind blow on the surface of your cheeks . 🤗 Its a great cut off from the busy and noisy urban area just a second after stepping inside through the long drive way. immediately shifting right up in a cooler and peaceful entrance welcoming by bird's songs from afar and above makes it an enchantered place to visit . 🙂 While driving through the way down in there's a natural nature parking lot area on your right handed side . Amazing !! discoveries of rare big trees and respected green nature.; Which is well up keeping by the people who really care for nature . Happily i continue satisfying curiosity and get into the selling plants activities held occasionally from time to time there. So fresh there still enjoying And comfortably relaxing grandiosity areas for nature lovers😍!! This kind of magnetism make me forget the purpose i was there.😀 So relaxing 🙂.! Yesterday morning i went there for their plants selling Which i have had a lot of surprised to see how beautiful collections of plants ,shrubs ,orchids such varities flowers on stalls even some succulents plants at afordable price i can say most of the selling plants point was not expensive. Ive left that lovely area with a glimps of sweet memories. for that journey im sharing the best shots i was able to share with you now.🙂 Inside the yard there also a great house *creole maison colonial style converted into a nice cozy restaurant. Under the veranda there are good foods you can can make the feeling of happy tongues☺! Well organised so that you can go for a lunch if you are there around the lunch time go and can taste Some good local *recette.🤗

Best food we had on our trip to Mauritius. We had the vanilla chicken and katkat with smoked marlin. Also very good prices for what you get and the setting is exceptional. It is nice that you can wander through the house and gardens (without entrance fee).

Beautiful place, it gives you the feels of what it would be like to live back in time in this chateau. Loved the garden so much.

I like the food though I think their wood fire oven pizza could be even better, the crust is a bit soft for my liking. What is truly enjoyable is the chance to enjoy a meal al fresco in this extraordinary setup. Waiting staff are very polite and helpful.

Very badly organised place setting and amenities. Poor maintenance of venue. However warm and welcoming personnel.

Colonial house with well kept gardens. The old-time mood surrounds you from the moment you turn on the access road to the site. There alegedly used to be tea plantations surrounding the house. None of the tea plantations are left around, and to see them, you´re send to Bois Chéri.

Plunge back into time through a tour of the old Guimbeau house. A wisp of colonial wonder takes over the aesthetic and performance of memory. A few minutes by bus from Jan Palach du Sud, Curepipe, drops you at the entrance of the estate where the first thing you notice are tall pall trees that reach the skies... If only the tour was a true and transparent representation of the colonial memory of sugar and tea plantations under Guimbeau's ownership.
