Rico´s Steak & Grill

Restaurant Meal delivery Venezuelan restaurant

😠 Menu says "12 oz NY strip". The steak delivered weighed barely over 6 oz and was overcooked yet somehow still cold on arrival. See photo, does this look like a Medium NY Strip? There aren't words to describe how disgusting it was, but suffice to say that it was completely inedible. The "Cuban toast"... People often mention service, restaurant, good, order, great, recommend, time, menu, delicious, Great,

Menu says "12 oz NY strip". The steak delivered weighed barely over 6 oz and was overcooked yet somehow still cold on arrival. See photo, does this look like a Medium NY Strip? There aren't words to describe how disgusting it was, but suffice to say that it was completely inedible. The "Cuban toast" was essentially soggy bread, also served cold. The fries? You guessed it: soggy, cold, inedible. It might be tempting for some to blame Postmates, but delivery was surprisingly quick (12-15 min). I didn't understand this at first, but now I'm suspecting that these items were kept in a refrigerator and then microwaved (poorly) before sending out. Will never order from this place again. I suggest you don't either.

Micah was AMAZING! Not only was the service personable and great; Micah recommended the Picado and we LOVED IT! We would absolutely return back for his service, and for the delicious food! 5 stars+

I spit out my food more than once because it was undercooked. They offered and gave me another plate to take home. The only reason I took it was to give it to my dogs. I had high expectations for this restaurant because of all the high reviews but sadly, that was not my experience. Everyone at my table ordered empanadas and all the empanadas were cold inside. Our waitress was nice and the restaurant looked and smelled clean. But, the food didn't meet our expectations. This was my first and last visit to this restaurant.

To start off, sticky tables and nobody outside to attend customers. A homeless guy walked up and sat down at one of the tables and drank leftover water and walked off (the table was never wiped down). The service was extremely slow because of the one employee working the front. I waited 20 minutes for a cup of coffee, the only decent thing that was there lol. Then waited an extra 35 minutes for 2 sandwiches, fries, and a small basket of mini tequeños. The sandwich as pictured below was awful. Let me add that it was the wrong sandwich since the waitress never wrote down the order and I guess she forgot what I wanted, again lol. The sandwich fell apart as I pulled it to my mouth and spilled onto my lap because of the low quality bread and ingredients as pictured below. The fries as pictured below, looked just like that upon arrival. Soggy supermarket brand fries. I was still charged for the sandwich and I didn’t even eat it and I was offered a compensatory drink for a $10.38 meal, AGAIN LOL. The other sandwich was awful but I won’t speak on it because I didn’t get a picture but the pork which was inside was old and dry. Anyway, $32(not including tip) for two 6 inch sandwiches, 2 decent portions of fries, and a cup of coffee. This place is a nightmare, please don’t visit.

Wow is all i can say. I have been to hundreds of restaurants all over the country, and this was a great bang for your buck. I randomly stumbled across a heavenly smell and had to stop in. It isnt anything to write home about from the layout, just a generic strip mall, locals spot, but that shows how much the food speaks for itself. The restaurant was clean, lively, decorated for the holiday, food was amazing, great portion sizes, flavorful, delicious housemade sauces. Fresh juices. I wanted everythingggg. Eyes were definitely bigger than my stomach, but i also wasnt expecting portions that generous. Service was great. If i lived here i would definitely be coming here everyday. I highly recommend stopping in if you are close!

Without telling us asked for more tip, when tip was already added giving them 40% tip in total. Steaks were both cooked incorrectly and were mixed up with another tables. Got charged for a side I never ordered which they did not take off the bill. Food overall wasn’t the best either as it was lackluster for the amount of money paid.

The receipt said: “tip not included”, because of that I let 20% of my total check. After that I noticed an extra charge : “service charge:18%” when I ask to clarify I was told it’s not a tip but a service charge. At the end I paid more than $50 in tip/service charge, for a check around $100. They are deceiving/stealing people. Never going back again, and I suggest you not to go

Not sure where to start on my level of disappointment. I was really hoping this would be a spot I’d be able to come back to. Food was flavorless. They won’t give you more sauce and it’s only for the tequeños. I took a bite from my food and left it all. They gave me 10% off…. Not a do over.. didn’t take it off my check .. but a discount for something I didn’t eat. Mind you, I ordered what the waitress said was the best plate.

Rico’s Stake & Grill is excellent. Great food & wonderful service. The Cachapa was unlike anything I have ever had, and makes the trip well worth it. If I had any complaint I would say that the restaurant is a little too expensive. But then again the quality is still very good.

I would not recommend eating here. First of all the food was alright. It was not horrible but nothing I would go back for. The beef used in the burger was the cheap meat and had hard chucks of something in it. Honestly you could get a better burger from Burger King. The steak was good but not worth the price. Also half of the items on the menu they didn't have and when we got the bill the prices for each item was higher than on the menu. They charges us an extra 3 to 4 dollars per item.

The food was good! Went to grab a bite after a day at the zoo!. It's a little cramped but that's fine, food came fast and it was piping hot!. Very delicious if I do say so myself. 😋 waitress'ls are quick and polite.

The food was cooked to perfection. 3 stars on the atmosphere because there wasn’t any other customers in the building. But my churasco, tostones we’re cooked to perfection. 5 stars on the food, I would eat there every day.

Poor customer service all of the servers were just walking by me not even acknowledging the fact that I’m waiting on a order they kept telling me five minutes and before you know it thirty minutes went by even the owner just walk right passed me but he went to every table asking was everybody ok I got a racist vibe from this spot

Watch your bill! They add an extra service charge of at least 18% if you sit down. There were only 2 of us. No where on the menu does it say that it was going to be added. They then have the audacity to then ask for gratuity afterwards! They removed the charge "just this one time". A great meal but lousy way of doing business. I'd either avoid this place or understand that your bill won't be what you expect it to be.

This place was an absolute let down and waste of time and money. The service was mediocre at best and the quality of food was unacceptable. My girlfriends burger was missing ingredients and my churrasco was terribly cooked and the meat was leftover meat that was probably discarded until the end of the night. I would not recommend whatsoever to anybody.

Horrible horrible!! Stay away!! They overcharged me and refused to return my money not two minutes after I realized on receipt they double charged me. Said it was too late when they messed up the order!! Food is frozen!! The employees when I walked in were not wearing masks!! They called cops because I refused to leave till money was returned, I didnt even receive my food!! The cop came and even he said I was in the right but could not force them to return money!! He said yelp and google reviews are my best tools and I am doing that!! Stay away!!!!!!!

Wow what a bad experience. I should have read the reviews here first. Do yourself a favor and eat at Pub Grill or the Colombian place next to Harbor Freight. I also saw an employee working without a mask. They were not wiping down tables outside after others left. The cost is outrages and not worth the quality. Food is frozen. Incredibly bad customer service and they overcharged me and refused to return my money even though I never received the food!!!! I never write reviews but I had to for this, DO NOT EAT HERE.

Nice to see a new Venezuelan restaurant be added to what can sometimes feel like limited options in the Cutler Bay area! Rico’s has a large menu including breakfast, lunch, and dinner options that caters nicely to families unable to decide on what they want to eat since they have a little bit of everything on their menu! Went for a dinner date night and was surprised to find it a little empty though this made for a nice intimate date. They also serve wine which was a plus. We started our meal with two appetizers, the first being their Mini Cachapas $7.99 and the second, their Eby Tempura $11.95: 4 tempura shrimp in a crispy edible rice basket seasoned with honey mustard and pineapple sauce. My boyfriend is Venezuelan and raved about their cachapas, especially the crema they use which stood out to me over other Venezuelan places I’ve gone to. The shrimp appetizer was one of the highlights of the meal. The winning combination of honey mustard and pineapple with the deep fried shrimp was a unique spin on a dish that seems common. Also, the ultra crispy rice basket they served it in was like a massive Asian rice chip, very enjoyable to eat! For our main entrees we had the Meditteranean Salmon on the Rock $18.95 (dry tomato sauce, capers, and olive oil) and the 12 oz. New York Strip Steak $18.95. Both were served on a sizzling plate which made the presentation memorable, the aromatic fumes as it came from the kitchen to table smelled incredible! My only issue and reason for lack of star is that I ordered my steak at medium-rare (I usually enjoy my steaks on the very rare side) and my Ny Strip was far from it. I think it just overcooked on the hot plate so it was more of a medium then well done by the time I finished eating it. The salmon on the other hand was absolutely perfect at a nice medium (which is what I prefer) and extremely moist/tender. I would go back and order the salmon again since I enjoyed it so much! Want to come back to try their arepas which I’m confident will be delicious or any of their breakfast options since they seem super affordably priced!

I asked for 4 mini tequenos and got charged 4 orders 20PCS, when told them about it the owner told that she couldn't do anything about it, to freeze and eat them daily. Lack of professionalism, worst first impression, it will be my first and last time.

The dishes are always fresh, the service towards the clients is agreeable. I often eat in this restaurant and I was never discontended. I highly recommend it.

This place can't never get your order right you order an empanada and you never know what you will get, my family use to eat here not anymore I rather drive to Kendall to eat empanandas. Last time we gave them a chance after months we called and place the order and no difference we order two ground beef empanadas two cheese ones and two chichas when my wife got there to pick it up the order, the lady "said oh sorry I just sold your chichas and there is no more" we said whatever took the empanadas home and surprise we got 2 chicken empanadas one mechada and one cheese so never again

(Translated by Google) Thank god in my business I have never sold anything cold. First find that as a year and frozen, I ask them to reheat them and they are still frozen. The staff do not love cooking, cold food should never be handed over to someone. Mainly when the restaurant is in its infancy. Oh owners and keep putting good reviews of lies !! Tend your business to prosper, so no one will return. (Original) Gracias a dios en mi negocio nunca he vendido nada frío. Best Venezuelan restaurant I've been to in Miami. I went there while working at Jackson South. I had the parrillada which was an insane amount of meats and sides but were completely delicious. The service is very good as usually the owner takes care of you and treats you as family. The place inside is beautifully decorated and comfortable. You can also order to go. If you go, you must order the Chicha drink, which is a traditional Venezuelan drink made of rice and milk. Delicious!!! I definitely recommend this place.

their churasco, is not churasco at all. churasco is outside skirt steak, a long piece of meat. on their menu the churasco to which i ordered is 16$ they are selling a much cheaper cut of meat such as flap, flank, or inside skirt and misleading people to think it is churasco. I am highly disappointed and feel ripped off. this was my first time ordering and i was feeling optimistic, i love to support local small business. unfortunately i will not return and will not recommended to any one else. Also on the menu it was supposed to come with a home-made chimichurri to which they forgot with my order. i feel ripped off . not worth the price. Further more my medium rare knock off churasco was given to me well done. rubber.
