Well maintained cricket ground with good facilities. As It's small ground so you can enjoy specially t20 games as you can enjoy raining fours and sixes. Also, it's located in the center of the city. Picture perfect cricket ground....you can see the National Cricket Academy....has lots of other facilities such as squash courts, tennis courts and other games too. Overall it's a good ground .

One of the best stadiums in India, it is known for international cricket matches. It is the cheerful crowd that makes the matches very interesting and entertaining. I thoroughly enjoyed the India vs South Africa match that took place on 12 June. Fantastic stadium and support staff have given me a wonderful experience.

OCA (odisha cricket association) should upgrade the seat and also make neat and clean bathroom ...... And should also allow the viewers/audience to carry umbrella with himself because there is no roof above it.... for rainy season matches and also for heavy sun......

The stadium is pretty good and well maintained. But, the area outside as well as the rooms(box) is quite dirty. I hope they take good care of it.

The Barabati Stadium is an Indian sports stadium used mostly for cricket and association football, and also sometimes for concerts and field hockey, located in Cuttack, Odisha. It is a regular venue for international cricket and is the home ground of Odisha cricket team. The stadium is owned and operated by the Odisha Cricket Association. It is also used for Association Football. It hosts Santosh Trophy national football tournament and the state's Odisha First Division League football matches.[2] The Barabati Stadium is one of the older grounds in India, having hosted several touring sides – including the MCC, the West Indies team and the Australians – before it hosted its first international match. It hosted only the third one-day international in this country, in January 1982, when India put it across England by five wickets to lift the series 2–1. It hosted its first ever Test match five years later where India played hosts to Sri Lanka. Though it is not one of the regular Test venues anymore, it continues to enjoy the status of international venue and hosts One-Day Internationals regularly. It also hosted the 2013 Women's Cricket World Cup.[3]

Ample space with largest sitting crowd area in odisha. Gallery stands are huge and with massive flood lights. Barbati holds a great match for Yuvraj singh scoring a good score in his international matches.

Outfield and stands are so beautiful. This stadium comes alive with every cheer in the crowd for their favourite team - India. Barabati stadium had its first international cricket match back in the year 1982. Since then, there were several matches played. Apart from cricket, there are various other sports associations including athletics, tennis, badminton, karate, to name of few. If gotten a chance, you must come to watch an international cricket match, specially when the Indian cricket team is playing. It is so lively!!!

The Barabati Stadium in Cuttack hosted only the third one-day international in this country, in January 1982, when India put it across England by five wickets to lift the series 2-1. In the first Test match here five seasons later, the Sri Lankans were greeted with an underprepared wicket affording vastly unpredictable bounce. Dilip Vengsarkar, then at the most dizzying heights of his career, made his highest Test score of 166, his fourth century in eight Tests, when no other batsman on either side crossed 60. The Lankans were rolled over twice as India seized an innings and 67-run victory. Kapil Dev bagged his 300th Test victim, bowling Rumesh Ratnayake with a ball that failed to sit up. The only other Test match here, against New Zealand in 1995-96, was badly affected by rain, affording less than 180 overs of playing time. Narendra Hirwani, on a comeback trail, took 6 for 59 in New Zealand's only innings, the best bowling figures here. India have won five out of seven ODI's at this venue which has also witnessed two games not involving them. Visiting sides have in the past sometimes expressed their qualms about having to travel from Bhubaneshwar, an hour's drive away, because of the lack of an airport and of quality accomodation in Cuttack.

It is only one cricket stadium of odisha😍😍. We visited here in general day and it was raining over the day. The grass are grown bit high and the ground was muddy. Since no matches played for long time and no proper care taken. One of the reception function was going on the auditorium hall and all the wastage were thrown here and there. Some garbage were close to the ground.

The lush green outfield, well-maintained pitch, and the impressive architecture of the stands create a perfect stage for cricketing action. The seating arrangements at Barabati Stadium are excellent, providing spectators with comfortable and unobstructed views of the game. The stands are designed to accommodate a large crowd, and the enthusiastic fans make sure the energy levels are always high. The chants, cheers, and applause from the crowd add to the electric atmosphere during matches. Whether you are watching a thrilling T20 clash or a gripping Test match, Barabati Stadium promises an unforgettable experience that celebrates the spirit of cricket. If you're a cricket aficionado, a visit to this iconic stadium should be on your bucket list. It's a place where cricket history continues to be written, and where the love for the game reaches its zenith.

The Barabati stadium, situated in Cuttack, Odisha, has been a host to numerous international matches and the ground is of truly rich sporting heritage. It is the home ground of the Odisha team. It has also staged IPL matches. Even football matches have been held at the stadium. In fact, the Barabati stadium is one of the oldest grounds in India. It can be encapsulated by the fact that back in 1961, MCC had played a game here against East Zone. The West Indies too had played a tour game in 1974-75. International cricket came to the Barabati stadium in 1982, when India beat England to clinch the ODI series 2-1. Interestingly, It was the third ODI held in this country. In 1987, it got the chance to host a Test match between India and Sri Lanka. However, since the rain-ruined game played between India and New Zealand in 1995, Test matches have not been allotted to the stadium. Unfortunately, due to crowd disruptions, when South Africa took on India in a T20I in October 2015, the stadium hit the headlines for all the wrong reasons. One of the key factors to consider about Barabati stadium is that it is quite far away from the airport. As a result, it has come under some criticism, especially from visiting teams.

Barabati Stadium is very old ground located in cuttack odisha . Active in hosting the national cricket team in limited overs internationals. Barbati stadium had hosted games for MCC, West Indies and Australia in tour games before hosting its first international match. It has floodlights and hence, day-night ODIs and T20Is are a frequent scene there now. The most memorable moment on this ground was when Kapil Dev picked up his 300th wicket.
