UPDATED 2ND VISIT REVIEW My second visit to TruDental for my scheduled cleaning ended up with my first cavity in years! Not surprising, since I struggle with daily flossing but thankfully Dr. Kang was amazing as ever. I'm not embarrassed to admit that I'm pretty sensitive to pain and was nervous about the local anesthetics, but somehow it was so hard to believe that I didn't feel a thing. Dr. Kang definitely has great technique since I think I kind of feel asleep during the procedure also. Again, great staff and service! At my previous experiences with other dental offices, the dentist would just tell me "you have a cavity so we need to fill it." Dr. Kang actually takes the time to show you high resolution photos of the issues and goes over why it happens and what we need to do to fix it and how to prevent it. He and his staff definitely show a lot of care even if it's a minor cavity issue. I definitely know that I can trust him and TruDental for any future issues or serious problems. I highly recommend if you are looking for great dentist with amazing technique and care! 1st VISIT REVIEW BELOW I've been looking for a new dental office for awhile since my dentist in Newport Beach moved and decided to go with my parent's dentist. Normally I'm very hesitant with any recommendation from my older parents and expected an old dental office from my childhood days. I have to admit the first thought I had when arriving was how modern and clean Trudental was. It felt like a high end luxury clinic. The waiting area even had amenities such as beverages for patients available. The staff was very nice and friendly. Dr. Kang is one of the most honest and kind dentists that I have met. I've experienced some that were either pushy with procedures or treatments that may have been unnecessary or others that just made me feel guilty for not flossing as much as I should. Dr. Kang was very organized and thorough with is examination. He took time out to explain to me areas that I was doing well in and things I would need to think about or worry if it got worse. Since it was my first time, he would ask throughout the procedure how I felt to gauge my discomfort level. I work in healthcare and I can tell Dr. Kang really puts his patients first and is very knowledgeable in his field. COVID precautions were also very well performed. The staff check your temperature on arrival and everyone was gowned and masked the entire time. I was the only patient in the office and I felt very safe during my visit. I definitely will be making this my new dental office and highly recommend Dr. Kang for any dental needs.

Not the biggest fan of dentists, but Dr. Kang turned me into a fan of his after receiving treatment. He will clearly explain what should be done, why it should be done, and how he will treat your teeth if you approve. Before coming in, I wanted to confirm if I was in-network and schedule my appointment. Both were easy processes and thoroughly managed. Another positive about Dr. Kang’s practice is their punctuality. I was being examined and/or on his chair on my scheduled time. I didn’t have to sit and wait around. Lastly, his office is clean, inviting, and modern. He’s also hired wonderful staff like Jana who will help you check in and out.

I always have a wonderful experience with Dr. Kang and the team. The warmth and friendliness in the office make each visit a pleasure. They are very professional and thorough with their cleanings and will walk you through your X-rays to help understand what is going on. They are always on time and make you feel like a valued customer. The best part is there is no awkward small talk with dental tools in my mouth! I wholeheartedly recommend them for an outstanding dental experience.

Dr. Kang and his entire staff have been nothing but great since I first visited in April 2022. Prior to that, I have not been to any dentist in 4 years so I needed a lot of work done. I had a deep cleaning, new fillings, wisdom teeth removed, and routine cleanings ever since. Dr. Kang was very transparent and has a zen approach throughout the entire experience. Before I was always nervous to go to the dentist (hence the long gap of dental visit) but now I look forward to going. I am glad I found his dentist practice and would recommend Dr.Kang for anyone looking for a new dentist. Also shout out to the lovely red hair front desk lady, best appointment setter and teeth polisher.

I was referred to TruDental by one of my coworkers as I have been searching for a new dentist in OC area. Dr Kang and his staffs have been nothing but very impressive so far and I am grateful that I found the right dentist who seems to always put patient's interest first (which is pretty hard to find these days...). He and his staffs have been very attentive, professional and thorough in walking me thru dental needs and I can definitely tell Dr.Kang is truly caring and honest because he is not only very thorough in explaining what I need but also very transparent on what I don't need. I highly recommend TruDental for anyone who is looking for a skillful and honest dentist in OC/LA.

This office gave me a Saturday appointment with short notice. Was having major pain and an infection on my front tooth. Was only supposed to go for an exam and the doc ended fixing me up with a root canal the same day. This office is great! I haven’t had a dentist in the past I have returned to. These guys will now be my go to. Staff was amazing.

This was the first truly pleasant dentist experience I've ever had. The staff are all very friendly, Dr. Kang was informative and helpful, and the waiting area is relaxing and comfy. I really appreciate that I left feeling educated and included in my treatment!

I visited this place and got implants after being told that this place was good. They were very kind and detailed during the year, and they always gave detailed explanations and made me feel comfortable. Even now that it was over, they were kind and good at follow-up care, so I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.
