Koala is one of those places that you can taste the love and passion the owners have for their craft. When entering the shop you are always greeted with welcoming faces and the hardest of decisions! Every flavor I have tried (and there has been a lot) has been exquisite but a few that really stand out are the barbacoa, sausage & gravy, and the cinnamon rolls! If you're a kolache lover such as myself, this little gem is a must. I can't wait to stop back in and try the next amazing flavor creation.

Koala Kolache is a unique donut/kolache shop owned by a super friendly & cute couple. Yes it is true the she is the "crazy donut lady" in a sense that she is funny not cray cray. I didn't get a chance to taste the boudin kolache because they we sold out when we got there at 11am. But we a had a wide selection of pulled pork, smoked sausage, Jimmy Dean sausage, ham & cheese & mac & cheese kolaches. My son had the 2 step donut filled with cookie dough & cookies & cream with m&ms. Everything was delicious! We will be back for more!

To summarize my experience here, the food and staff are FANTASTIC! My husband and I tried this location for the first time this week for his birthday breakfast, and we tried multiple items including the kolache (i.e., Bean Enchilada, Brisket, Pizza, Jalapeño Popper, and Sausage and Gravy) and cookie butter cinnamon roll. The location was unassuming, but we were so happy with our decision to try them. All of the menu items are made from scratch and are so fresh and flavorful! They warmed the items for us, and they were the perfect temperature - they even stayed warm until we ate some at home! Our personal favorites were the Bean Enchilada and Brisket kolache. Also, the service was fantastic! We met V and Wendy, and they were gracious and fun to talk to. V provided excellent recommendations that ended up being our favorites. If you are thinking about giving Koala Kolache a try, do it! You will not regret it. 😊

I have an allergy to gluten, and their gluten free Kolaches and cinnamon rolls are AMAZING!! As a foodie, this place takes the cake. I also purchased some kolaches for my family, and they were super impressed! Can’t say enough great things about this gem of a pastry shop.

I had a very special experience. My first time trying the kolaches, and might I say, the best I have ever had (and I've had my fair share of kolaches). The boudin kolache in particular had the perfect texture and that kick that made it extra special. The owner was incredibly nice and I could tell that she is really passionate and customer-oriented. I'll definitely be returning!

😲 Wow I dare to say honestly these were the best Kolaches I have ever tasted. Sausage and Gravy is a must and you can't leave without a cinnamon roll. Customer service is great!!! The owner is very appreciative and energetic and provides a very welcoming atmosphere. I will definitely be back!!

They had an otherworldly option for the non-pork eaters-Yay! I usually skip these places because of the lack of vegan options but my oh myyyy! The egg white and leek kolache was phenomenal !!

So many options. Kolache we're warm, excellent bread. Got jalapeno and sausage with Pecan roll. The cinnamon rolls are crazy. They pull them apart, add to your container then layer on more frosting on top. The staff is just excellent. They even have a kiosk to order and out it comes! Crazy good.

Went this past Saturday. Customer service was lacking-the employees are not friendly. No signage telling you where to order and where to pick up. Very crowded and customers who are regulars are rude and cut around you without asking and jump ahead of you. No explanation offered of choices and very little signage telling you choices, we had to ask. The Real kolache was just ok-greasy. The cinnamon rolls were good but would have been better warmed up, which they did not offer like most donut shops. Had to ask to get the kolaches warmed up. Had to ask for forks and napkins because none on the counter. Doubt we will be back.

I was extremely underwhelmed with the lack of customer service and the quality of the food. The kolache’s were frozen when I got home and I guess I should have asked them to warm them up, but I did not realize they served kolaches frozen. Last time I checked when you make stuff like this, you do not freeze them. Since there is lots of competition, I will gladly go to one of the local places in my area that serves freshly cooked kolaches since I don’t like my kolaches stale.

I got the spicy brisket kolache and the cream cheese danish, both were some of the best I’ve had and I’m very glad I work right next door so I can keep coming back!

So far one of our favorite place for a kolache. The brisket was good, the boudin was great. Kids loved the donut. The special ice cream filled was very fun and tasty. They had loads of cereal toppings and about 6 flavors of ice cream. Employees where very nice. They seem to sell out of favorites by end of lunch.

The cinnamon rolls are the best in Houston hands down, glad its close to my house. V, the owner remembers me by name every time I walk in the door. It's rare these days people remember your name and have small talk when your picking up breakfast. If you come right at open at 7am you can still get hot warm out of the oven cinnamon rolls. If your lucky you can avoid the lines/wait by coming early too. While I mostly come for the cinnamon rolls, the kolaches are super soft and tasty too. I think my current fav one is the sausage and gravy.

Nothing special for the price point. Bacon and egg kolaches had way too much cheese. We went here to try something different. However, with the attitude of the staff and price, we will not be back.

V (owner) is the sweetest. Whole staff is engaging and friendly. Great selection and smells are intoxicating. We had a friend visiting from another state who thought we were crazy when we told him about kolaches. Koala kolaches are on another level, the dough is soft and fluffy and the selection is great. This is a elevated kolache that you have to try if your in the cypress area.

Visiting from CA and didn’t even know what a Kolache was until I arrived. Happened to meet V(owner) at HTO and she sold us on coming by and trying some Kolaches. She was so sweet and nice. Kolaches were amazing. Had the sausage and gravy, spicy and regular brisket and grabbed a couple cinnamon rolls. All were amazing and can’t wait to go back. Thank you V!

Tried this place when visiting my parents and it was DELICIOUS! We will be going back again. All the kolaches we tried were great and loved the unique flavors. THE CINNAMON ROLLS WERE THE BEST I'VE EVER HAD!

Some of the absolute BEST kolaches in Texas and quite possibly THE best. The owner is amazing and so is everyone that works there. They don’t just bake: they sell passion and love before the sun even comes out. There is a line for a reason. Enjoy.

First time stopping by and it was great. If you were in the mood for the same kolache that you're used to there's 500 of the same thing being served within a 10mile radius, go nuts. Koala Kolache had a bunch of exciting new experiences and everything I tried was awesome! We'll likely be back next week to try some more unique flavors!! Friendly staff and owner as well

Unique kolaches. Great food quality. Cinnamon rolls with different "dressing". I got it with Nutella, Yum!. Cream puffs were great with filling that was light, rich, and not too sweet (can you say à là Français) yup, they were excellent. And yes, it was waiting in line for 20-30 minutes (see attached photo)
