The small café is ideal for grabbing your laptop and working with concentration as there is no music playing in the background. There is also free WiFi that you can use. The walls are also full of books, which creates a living room atmosphere.

I really like the concept of the publishing house/pub. Spreading art while drinking beer. The acts that performed were great across the board. During the break there was cake for the audience. Quote: "In Berlin you have to make an effort for us, the audience, not for the artists [...]".

When I entered Periplaneta's literary café for the first time, I immediately felt at home. Here you can not only relax and drink a coffee or an apple spritzer, but also have a nice chat with the Periplanetians. The large selection of books ensures a relaxed pastime in the afternoon and several times a week in the evening you can be entertained by various authors and musicians at readings, concerts and a reading stage. Always happy!

We went to a reading in the evening and were very, very impressed by the owners, the speakers and the relaxed, family atmosphere. The audience seems to fit perfectly into this part of Berlin.
