This is one of our favourite spots every time we walk to Monkstown. At the entrance you will find a nice shop with fresh vegetables and cooked meals and cakes. On the right you will find the cafe/restaurant, offering a breakfast or brunch menu. Some dishes are very honestly priced (I would not classify it with 3 €€€ as reported by Google Maps) well prepared and using fresh ingredients. The service is kind, despite they are very busy due to a high amount of customers throughout the day. Recommended

Excellent food. Had the linguine which was beautiful but expensive for lunch at 20 euro. Some bread etc to go with it would be nice as not very filling. Staff excellent.

Used to be a great spot for both lunch & shopping but since about 4 or 5 years ago it’s on the decline, for both products & service. Not enough staff, staff complaining amongst themselves about that too (can’t blame them). Staff that are there seem new and untrained (not their fault again, mgmt’s). Absolutely no innovation in menu’s or product offering, a lot of the staples seem to have been cheaped out on. Very limited & expensive menu in Salt restaurant. Expect to pay over €4 for a takeaway coffee. Extra star as some of the food is still decent, Poulet Bonne femme is good.

Came home to Dublin for Christmas and was excited to visit the Avoca cafe again for a taste of home, with a friend from abroad. However, much to our disappointment, the service was subpar and the food was rather average. After waiting ages to be seated and then having things missing from our meal, we decided to order a scone and brownie bite for dessert. After a 15 min wait, we were informed that both were unavailable, only to find them on our bill when they tried to charge us. The waitress seemed hesitant and confused about what we had ordered and received. The rather unprofessional crossed out receipt we were given after paying - with an incorrect total amount - sums up the service perfectly. I always advertise Avoca as the best place in Dublin for Irish food and goods, so I’m very disappointed to see how much the overall experience has deteriorated.

I’m sure Avoca means heavenly in some language. Because that dining experience was just that. Yes hunger is a great sauce and I was hungry, but the food they served up today was exquisite. Seafood linguine, burgers, amazing pancakes and superb soup. All in a lovely setting, with very attentive and pleasant staff. Sorry no pic of the soup, like I said I was hungry and that got downed before my phone came out. It was delish. I will be back again, and again, and again for sure.

Lovely assortment of goods & food, as is usual for Avoca outlets. However, the service was appallingly slow. There's a sign asking potential customers to wait to be seated in the dining area. Nobody was monitoring this! I saw a number of people leaving, due to being left standing there, during the 10 minutes I was waiting for my dining companion.

They have a great array of options of what you'd like, fresh cake, tea, coffee and you can have lunch there, coffee and so on. It's great, but overly pricey! The cashier took 15 minutes to get to me and during that time was flirting with the customer infront of me, there were around 12 people in the line yet there was one cashier who took an audacious amount of time

Good but expensive. You can find the same food in other cafés around Dublin for half the price. Now the staff was absolutely lovely, although the crowd wasn't very friendly. It feels like one of those restaurants where people want to be seen on the weekend for brunch... Definitely go there if you like good breakfasts, especially the pancakes, but if you can't deal with a "up the nose crowd", don't waist your time.

Badly laid out, staff behind pastries not up to scratch, rude staff lady at checkout.asked to have a baguette cut in three as bringing to my mum in hospital and no small rolls available they said No! Never going back what a let down to the real Avoca. Really disappointing

Came here for the breakfast. The food was exceptionally tasty, super friendly staff, positive atmosphere, and the pastries were scrumptious! Will definitely come back again.

Never do I come back empty handed. This continues to remain my go to place for nicer, fresher and happier additions to my food cupboard. From bakery to ingredients to coffee to chocolates, very interesting collection.

Blonde curly hair girl in deli gave very good, quick service, was a blast with outstanding people skills and really enhanced my Avoca experience. She made me the most delicious sausage of my entire life Will be back again. 🤙✌️

Waited 10 minutes to be seated. Pricey lunch and terribly slow service, food came before our teas. The waitresses were talking among themselves and ignoring everyone who was trying to catch their attention to order something. People around us waited more than 15 minutes for coffees. However, the food was excellent so therefore 3 stars

Great quality food, and a comfortable place to eat in. Lacking in vegan options, although they did have short run of vegan croissants a few months ago. Would be great to see more like that again.

Food is OK but for a place that supposedly opens at 9am there was definitely nothing happening in the kitchen until 9.30. The scone for the boss arrived pretty promptly. The eggs only arrived 30 minutes later. That's not how it should be done. Premium prices not a premium experience.

Pretty much a regular customer here. A compact market with variety of food choices. The staffs have always been very helpful. In-house products are good and worth a try. Price range may differ slightly from regular supermarkets however the quality seems to make up for it. Content with the shopping experience thus far.

The place is very nice. The Market is lovely and very expensive. We went for a brunch an the waitress rush us to order in 5 min because the were moving from Cafe mode to restaurant. It was 11:00 AM. The coffee was not good at all, expensive, amateur personnel . I order a Full breakfast that was very good. Paradoxically we order some avocados and was the worst avocado I have in my life. The place Is very nice but I the overall experience was not good.

Used to love the place because of the staff and quality of products. And that would justify a higher price. Now staff is, just to be nice, less than efficient, helpful and happy. Prices are now even higher and quality went way down. Even my favourite products are off the shelves. And I am talking of what used to be special Avoca made products. There are now many of those top of the range grocery, coffee shop places. Hence go somewhere else. Or ask Avoca to bring back what used to make Avoca great places.
