Lovely homely feeling when you step into this pub @ The Plough, had Xmas duo here lovely atmosphere friendly & lovely crowd drinks were flowing as was the Xmas dinners staff were really helpful & efficient really enjoyed the night, plenty of parking spaces at the back…….!!

Really aesthetic and heart warming place. The food is absolutely incredible in every way. The staff are very polite and professional. Honestly worth going to!

We've been to The Plough a number of times and it never fails to impress us. Lovely friendly staff and great food. Definitely worth a visit.

Beautiful pub tucked away in the heart of leverstock green. Definitely worth a visit, lovely terrace/outdoor seating area. Fish portion was huge and service was good! Not the norm in Hemel unfortunately - great pub! Would say the pricing is fairly standard for around the area but the portion size and general ambience definitely added some value, keep it up!

Booked Sunday afternoon, would recommend booking as very busy. Received warm welcome, all the staff looked very smart, were very efficient and friendly, only positive things about them all Large pub / restaurant with many different dinning areas so was not noisy where we were seated. Nicely decorated with a range of framed pictures, which looked smart and interesting to read. Done full menu and carvery, all food was very nicely presented, and tasted good. I had the turkey carvery which was timed with meals from kitchen as waitress let me know which time to go up, which was excellent service. Price are very reasonable compared with the service on offer. There is a car park which was full on our visit but has street parking. I would recommend a visit.

Often visit the plough at lunch time and had great service. However, visited Saturday night, table booked for 6:15, we were deposited in the back of beyond and basically forgotten by the staff. The tables around us were served paid and gone before we received starters. We had to keep asking where food was, if we could order. We spent 3 hours here, 2 hours of that just waiting..... If it wasn't for the good company of the people I was dining with we would have left. The bill was quite large and the menu very limited. Not the menu seen online which is disappointing.. keep this in mind when you book!!! If you order BBQ wings worth asking for BBQ sauce to be separate, there was far too much on all portions served, and was far too sweet for all our tastes :( Burgers didn't taste like beef burgers, just generic meat, which was a shame. Had we not waited so long would've made more of a fuss. Bar staff lovely, generally clean and modern environment.

Been there on Saturday evening. Very beautiful restaurant, it seems a lot of work has been done to the outside garden terrace. The staff was very friendly and gave me a 5star service. The food was very good also.

This is a great restaurant pub to come to for a special dining experience. The food is excellent and the staff are friendly and hard working. This time I booked a party of 35 people for an anniversary Buffet Lunch and I couldn’t have been more delighted. Everybody commented on the quality of the food and the efficiency of the staff which made our visit so special for us. Thank you Alex and Fran for going the extra mile and attention to detail. Highly recommended

Staff were lovely, the actual place was fine however food was a huge letdown. Olives came warm, drowned in oil and mushy. Partner ordered ribs, really tough and chewy couldn't eat. I had a vegetable lasagne which as you can see by the pic was so dry had no red or white sauce and was completely tasteless other than the cheese on top. Left 5 mins after food arrived without eating They did take the ribs off the bill but paid for everything else.

Omg what can I say about this treasure!! The staff were sooo polite and friendly. Every single one of them served us with such professionalism and kindness. They were like mindreaders and asked me if I needed another drink before I had realised how quickly I had drunk my drink. The food was amazing. 2 of us had the same starter, main and pudding. The other 3 had at least the same starters and mains. The starters were presented so neatly and they were divine. The roast dinner we all devoured was so delicious. The waitress was even kind enough to box up any leftovers for us without hesitation. Our puddings were amazing and our drinks were scrummy. This seems like an over the top review but honestly try this place if you get the chance because it’s definitely worth your time and taste buds!!

We went as a large group 9 adults 4 children. The service and food was fantastic. No long waits, everyone enjoyed their food, no complaints. I would double check their allergen menu though, as it listed the Camembert as having no dairy? We brought it to the servers attention, she apologised and said she would look into it. Would definitely visit again 😊

Christmas meal for 8. Excellent carvery with tender meats, good selection of veg and sauces. The staff were properly trained, well dressed and just delightful. Particularly liked that they managed the carvery queue so we were not standing around, but could sit until they were ready for us. The table was kept tidy and we were just well looked after. Also, plenty of custard!

A large group of us were there for our Christmas lunch. The food was good and plentiful. We were made very welcome and thoroughly enjoyed being there. The staff were great and Victor deserves a special mention for his care and attention. Shall definitely be returning.

Had a lovely lunch here today. Here are some pictures of the meals we had. The garlic mushrooms where lovely. And the ribs were huge with lots of flavour. I got the browny Sunday for dessert and it was really nice. So glad we came here for lunch, was a nice start to the day especially as the waiter was so pleasant and friendly. He always did all he could to make sure we had all we needed, nothing was to much bother. I would recommend this place for a nice atmosphere place to eat so nicely cooked food.

Exquisite food and great atmosphere. This pub/restaurant is a great choice if you want to stop for food on your way to London or out of London. Reservation suggested.

I was taken here for a surprise birthday meal on 1st January 2023 There was nine of us dining, The service was brilliant, We were greeted as soon as we walked in, our waiter was called Sebastian and he was great, always checking that we were okay, making sure we had everything we needed, and he was very funny with it. He made us feel very relaxed. I chose the carvery , the food was lovely with plenty of choice. The chef serving the meat was very accommodating too. It was all in all a nice experience and I would definitely recommend here to friends and I will also be going back. Well done The Plough.

Great food, good portion of prawns in the cocktail. Music turned down when asked as we sat under the speaker. Lovely waitress. All 6 meals very tasty. My only complaint was with a male member of staff speaking very loudly on the phone, rather than go into a private office he walked around the pub getting louder and louder

Sunday lunch carvery was great. A good selection of meats and vegetables and reasonably priced. Nice surroundings and good service.
