Whichever branch I visit, I have always found their staff friendly and knowledgeable. I could spend hours in there! Displays are good and I like the fact that there are non-book items too, eg cards, small toys, etc

Nice store, always enjoy shopping here as I'd rather give a high street shop my money than Amazon. It would be perfect if the male staff were just a little bit more cheery. I always get the impression I'm intruding when I go to pay for my books.

Love Waterstones. Such a vast selection of diverse books and staff really helpful.

Great shop, great books....they make a great cup of coffee.....nice and strong....love it.. I had soup and a sandwich a while ago which was lovely, but just recently there menu has shrunk? Shame! But like I said great coffee and nice people behind the counter....

I popped in to Waterstones in Berkhamsted because we were looking to buy a book. I was surprised that there was a cafe at the back and it was a really great idea. Cosy, comfortable and excellent quality. The only reason he hasn't got five stars is because it was a little pricey , but certainly not overly expensive.

Interesting range of books, really good children's selection. I love the cafe here too, they do some tasty bites freshly prepared and nice drinks. Much better service and friendlier than neighbouring Costa.

Berkhamsted branch is very poor. It offers only the popular books & has no reference section. The staff are dismissive at best & rude at worst: they tried to overcharge me by several pounds per item because they hadn't bothered to correctly label & were lucky I actually bought anything, such was their rudeness when I called them out about it! I didn't stay to try the café, as had been my plan, but it looked a poor collection of hard French-street-café chairs & tables, not really conducive to reading ones recently acquired books. In comparison to other branches, I would say it needs to be shut down!

Pleasant staff great range of books, town carpark behind so easy to get to.

I love this bookshop despite being a chain. It’s always instantly calming, well laid out and staff are on hand to find out if that book is on their shelf. Featured titles and recommended books are always on display and there is always something for everyone. Art, fiction, food and more.
