My
family
has
been
coming
to
this
restaurant
for
years,
ever
since
our
close
friend
told
us
that
it
was
the
best
in
Athens
and
he
was
exactly
right.
In
fact,
we
returned
last
night
and
we
will
be
going
again
tomorrow
with
friends
from
America
that
wanted
an
"original,
true,
locals
type
Greek
meal"
and
“something
very
special”.
The
restaurant
is
as
simple
as
they
come,
but
the
food
is
well
beyond
fantastic!!!!
The
setting
is
simple,
being
a
neighborhood
location
and
courtyard
setting
in
the
Athens
area
of
Dafni
that
could
be
difficult
to
find
for
someone
who
is
unfamiliar
with
the
streets
of
the
city
and
frankly,
I
am
happy
that
it
is
the
kind
of
place
that
tourists
may
never
see
because
it
keeps
it
naturally
authentic.
Giorgos
(the
owner)
and
the
other
Giorgos
(the
main
server)
are
always
there
to
ensure
that
their
guests
have
the
perfect
meal
and
an
always
great
experience,
which
is
precisely
what
you
should
expect.
Absolutely
EVERYTHING
on
the
menu
is
PERFECT,
but
our
favorites
include
the
small
beef
filets
(where
the
name
comes
from)
that
are
as
soft
as
butter
and
have
the
most
incredible
flavor
imaginable,
the
traditional
Greek
sausage
that
also
has
a
flavor
like
nothing
I
have
ever
tasted
before,
the
tomato
and
soft
cheese
salad,
the
pork
filets,
the
horta
(traditional
boiled
greens)
and
beets.
Of
course,
you
either
have
to
have
local
wine
or
even
better,
Tsikoudia
(Greek
Raki
from
Crete)
to
accompany
your
food.
Truth
be
told,
I
was
hesitant
to
leave
a
review
for
my
own
selfish
reasons,
thinking
that
by
doing
so,
more
people
would
discover
this
incredible
restaurant
and
make
it
more
difficult
for
us
to
get
a
table
in
the
future,
but
the
reality
is
that
Giorgos'
family
created
something
so
special
50
years
ago
with
this
restaurant
that
he
and
his
family
deserve
it
and
so
much
more.
"Ta
Filetakia"
is
really,
my
ABSOLUTE
FAVORITE
traditional
Greek
restaurant
in
the
world
and
I
look
forward
to
returning
many,
many
times.
