established
on
the
coast
of
the
Kaunas
lagoon,
on
the
eastern
edge
of
the
city
of
Kaunas.
The
park
covers
an
area
of
110.8
hectares.
It
has
accumulated
a
valuable
collection
of
dendroflora
(225
taxa),
unique
compositions
of
tree
bushes
in
the
rich
relief
of
the
area's
hornbills,
outcrops,
ridges
and
hills
on
the
coast
of
the
Kaunas
lagoon.
The
park
contains
cognitively
and
visually
valuable
outcrops,
suffosic
cirques
with
forming
limestones,
springs
with
tuff
fragments,
the
Pakalniški
mound,
the
ruins
of
the
fortifications
of
the
second
ring
of
the
Kaunas
fortress.
As
many
as
9
Lithuanian
red
book
herbal
plants
were
found.
