Small and cozy cafe with super cool decoration. The staff was nice and the coffee really tasty. Great location in the heart of Kaunas !

SO MANY TEA OPTIONS, really cozy. has been kind of difficult to find a free space to sit but if you can find one, it's really nice. The cups are actually quite big too so you get your moneys worth of tea and it is it delicious! And my super chocolate cake was super chocolate and it was.. super. If you are in the old town and want to visit a cafe, id definitely recommend popping by here!

very bad experience 1. when we entered the place and greeted the barista with our "hello", barista girl answered in Lithuanian language and continued doing this after we showed our EU certificates in different languages. i thought it is quite clear that we are not Lithuanians. 2. after we payed 3€ for matcha latte, not seeing the menu in English because the place doesn't have one, we waited for 20 minutes for our drink. while we were waiting, 2 other people came and received their drinks really fast, literally at the moment when they were sitting down to the sofa. and we were sitting and looking to their plates and glasses and understanding that we won't receive our drink and they forgot about us. we were really patient because we waited for 20 minutes and then we decided that we need to ask again, what is really bad for the reputation of the place, and when we asked where our drink is after 20 minutes, the girl just answered "oh sorry, I will do it"! okay, thank you i may have 30 minutes break and for 20 of it i am waiting to receive the drink you completely forgot about... no moral compensation was suggested, anything to reduce my disappointment, just sorry that won't change anything. 3. the barista girl had really 0 emotions while she was talking to us, and was unsympathetic, cold like stone :( 4. the drink was prepared poorly and the employees maybe don't really know how the milk should be steamed to be good. we finally received the oversteamed milk with a lot of bubbles (which is not what should happen with good milk before it is even served) 5. and, because the milk was oversteamed, i received a burn after i tried to drink matcha right after it was served , which is not what supposed to happen if the mink is properly made (the employees should know that the great temperature for drink to be drinkable is approximately 60-65 degrees). 6. matcha was completely like milk :( had almost no taste in the main drink after we tasted a little bit of bubbles foam and stir the rest with the bottom of the drink. 7. there were lumps, matcha was badly mixed I have experience of working as a barista of the third wave coffee shop and I know what normal service should be - both from the side of the barista and from the side of the recipient of this service, that is, the guest of the coffee shop. we came here only because the perfect reviews, but i think it don't deserve 4,9 stars, because this is really misleading. i may think that people in Lithuania didn't really experience the great customer service ever to know how it should look like and how they have to be treated, sorry.

My favourite coffee place in Kaunas! I like that they have vegan desserts that are not too sweet.

Amazing place! Super cozy, we tried the vegan mushroom & cheese sandwich and the vegetarian with mozzarella and they were really good. The vegan cheesecake it’s also good! Recommended place for sure !

I really liked the warm atmosphere inside this small independent cafeteria. The selection of vegan cakes looked so tasty. I selected the blueberry cardamon one, and I really like the texture and the taste as it wasn't too sweet. I wouldn't expect to find something like this in the Old Town of Kaunas. Highly recommended.

A perfect place for afternoon coffee ☕ Chaika is a quite small, but it looks nice, clean and cosy. Chaika is a 3-in-1 - bakery, cafe and shop. The location is easy to find when you're walking down the streets towards the Rathaus. Kaunas Old Town begins here. Chaika is the ideal café for afternoon coffee or brunch. Café offers a wide selection of coffees and various sweets such as home-made cakes and cocktails. Moreover, it surprises its variety of vegan sweets. You can be sure that taste and quality will please you. The second amazing thing is the atmosphere. Interior is made in retro style like Lithuania in 1970-1970s. Chaika has a free WiFi zone, so you can take a seat here and work peacefully. Stuff is always pleasant, and service is quite good. My recommendation)

I absolutely do not know why there are such high rates. prices are higher than in other coffee shops, the quality is clearly worse. they forgot about our order, we had to wait a long time, and when after 25 minutes my patience expired and I told the employee about it, I did not receive any compensation. matcha latte for 3 euros - nothing more than a glass of VERY hot milk that burns you. choose another place!

Great place for working and studying! There's a huge selection of loose leaf teas and the cheesecake I got was absolutely amazing. I also love the look of the interior with the fun decorations and cute tea mugs. I appreciate that they have both a lithuanian and an english menu readily available.

This cafe is distinctive and cozy. While the dessert options are not numerous, each one is exceptionally delicious.

Friendly and accommodating staff. Didn't have almond or soya milk but worked around it. Coffee was excellent too.

Friendly staff, great atmosphere - the type of place you’d see in a movie. All cakes are vegan and vegetarian friendly. Would recommend. Came at around 11:10 so it was quite quiet. Smells great.

Wonderfully cute and charming cafe with delicious vegan cakes (blueberry cardamom cake was fantastic). Coffee was just decent, but I would definitely recommend to have a little sweet treat and enjoy relaxing moments here.
