Please know how important it is to do your research before booking weight loss surgery with any clinic. For me from the beginning Nordbariatric came across as professional. There was full open communication from my rep and no question was was left unanswered. On arrival at the clinic the interior would rival the best private clinics here in Ireland. It is clean and sleek. The professor is a gentleman. His experience in the field gave me reassurance but meeting him only doubled that. This man has made his life's work to help people with obesity. He has the most kind and compassionate team. They are with you every step. I have no regrets choosing this clinic. I have had no complications after my surgery, thankfully and my wounds have healed well! Great experience for me 👍

I have zero hesitation in recomending the Nordbariatric clinic. I did plenty research before deciding on travelling (from Ireland) and was not disappointed. The clinic is so modern, spotlessly clean, airy and well-staffed. I was blown away by the efficiency and professionalism of everyone I dealt with from the initial inquiries to post-op (I'm 2 weeks post gastric bypass and doing well). I met people who were coming back for the third and fourth time (for cosmetic surgery), people who travelled from Canada and the US for hip and knee surgery and so many people, like me, for bariatric surgery, most of whom are still in contact via group chats and all of us have said we would not hesitate to recommend or to go back to the Nordbariatric clinic (for the tummy tuck when all the loose skin appears :-)) From the day of inquiry, no-one was pushy, they were happy to answer all questions (I had many) and left me plenty time to make my decision. Once made, I had a choice of dates which were within the month and beyond and they assisted with accommodation also. You're collected from the airport, chauffered from the clinic to accommodation for every appointment and delivered back to the airport again. I'd also highly recommend the Nord apartments, which I stayed in - new apartments, fully equipped with kitchenette, large spacious rooms, comfy bed with 6 pillows of different fillings!! Honestly, I could keep ranting but I think you probably realise, this is a rave review!!! BTW, for anyone living in Ireland, the bariatric surgery qualifies for the CBD (cross border directive) so, once you have any GP referral (my BMI was 32), this operation is FREE (you get the money back in about 3 months from the HSE). It's a no-brainer - no waiting times and no cost! Go for it!!!

Outstanding service, from the first email to receiving the operation, everything ran smoothly and went really well. You can join a Facebook page where there is a community of others thinking about going through it/have been through it. You can ask any questions/concern. Then once you pay deposit, you join a WhatsApp group to chat with all the others having that op in the same month. It's a brilliant service and to be able to talk to others at the same stage, is so helpful. Everyone explains everything and happy to answer any questions, big or small. The clinical is clean and as pictured in the pictures. All the staff are professional. I received a gastric bypass and the aftercare has been as fantastic as the pre op. Would highly recommend and would use again for other surgeries. Happy to answer any questions you may have about this place.

Absolutely fantastic experience with Nords. Nurses are so kind and thoughtful. Prof M was lovely so calm and caring and he took the time to patently answer all my questions. Really couldn’t fault any aspect of the clinic, the place was SPOTLESS. So much cleaner than any hospital I’ve ever been in (and I’ve been in hospitals in Ire, UK, NL). Highly recommend.

I travelled to Nords from Ireland to have a gastric bypass. I cannot speak highly enough of the clinic. From my first contact with the lovely Julija to the nurses to the surgeon, I was cared for with professionalism and kindness. I am 3 weeks post op and just under 3 three stone down. I am so glad I got brave and went for it. I have the surgeons information and information for the dietitian if I need any support. If you're thinking of Nordbariatric go for it. You won't regret it.

I can't recommend Nordbariatric enough. From the moment I placed my first enquiry to even now 7 weeks after surgery, the service I have received and continue to receive has been amazing. I was nervous but was made to feel like everything will be ok. My reps were professional and quick to respond to any query i had regarding the surgery and travelling especially with the covid rules changing all the time. The drivers who picked me up at the airport, dropped me to and from appointments and surgery were lovely, polite and courteous. The receptionists and nurses in the clinic were truly wonderful, professional and kind. The clinic is pristine, it is spotless and spacious. I don't regret my decision of having the surgery and I certainly don't regret my decision for choosing to have it performed by the great Dr Maleckas at the Nordbariatric Clinic.

This clinic is amazing! I hady gastric sleeve on April 14th I can't cannot say enough good things. Please don't have any hesitation when booking with them. From the minute I decided to go for surgery they were with me every step of the way from the wonderful customer relations team, the minute I landed there was a lovely gentleman waiting for me holding the Nords clinic sign. Dropped us to our apartment and made sure we had everything we needed. you get text messages in plenty of time to tell you when you'll be picked up for transport to the clinic. Every driver we had was kind courteous and very helpful some even cracking jokes.The clinic itself is spotlessly clean with very kind staff that speak incredible English. They explained everything to me every step of the way. I met the professor and he is a lovely kind gentleman. Who will put you at ease the minute you talk to him. He's very open and answers any questions you may have.He completely put me at ease. I cannot express how exceptional the care I got at the nords clinic was for me and for all the patients that were with me at the time. The nurses in the clinic are amazing. To me the head Nurse Ausra was so kind and reassuring, and nothing was too much to ask, also Juste and Rasa were so wonderful. Don't worry about a language barrier they all speak english we were laughing and joking with them too. I would have no hesitation advising any of my loved ones to go for nords. They are amazing ! Going for nords was one of the best decision Ive made in my life so far.

I can't stress the level of care I received for my gastric sleeve surgery. From pick up at the airport to return to the airport, there is nothing I can fault. There was always someone available to check on me and for me to ask questions. The surgery went so well too! I'll never regret having it. It feels like I've been given a second chance at life. This company is outstanding, I'm so happy I choose them, from the get go before I even paid a penny they were so helpful, patient and friendly. The full servers was wonderful and took compleat pressure off myself. My full journey from leaving Edinburgh to landing in Lithuania was next to non. Everything was explain very clearly and when I needed to ask any questions, if they didn't know the answer they would work hard to find out. The surgeon was lovely and all the nurses. I could not fault them thank you so much again for an incredible experience.

I had fantastic service from original consultation through to being dropped back at the airport! If you are in two minds about coming here for surgery my advice would be to go for it! Whilst in the hospital the nurses were amazing, so attentive and couldn't do enough to make me comfortable. The Proffessor is an absolute genius, he answered all my questions and explained the procedure well. My incision sites are very tidy and healing well. I will be reccomending to everyone and if I need additional surgery I will be booking at Nord with confidence!

To be honest I was hesitating at the beginning, about flying abroad for a major operation, all alone, in the middle of a pandemic, and what the outcome and the aftercare was going to be. I am glad, and i am so happy that i took this life changing decision. From the first instant the customer service representatives (Vaida and Marija) of Nordbariatric where by my site, ready to answer and discuss any queries or worries i had in both a professional and friendly manner, and liaise with the surgeon and the dietitian. They arrange, almost, everything for me, hotel bookings, transport from and to the airport, transport from the hotel and to the clinic. Everything was taken care for me, and i had nothing to worried about. Professor Maleckas, is a great professional and was more than happy to discuss and explain in detail the advantages and disadvantaged of every procedure before we decide together which procedure was more appropriate for me. The hospital stay was really comfortable , the communication was great and not even for a minute i felt i was alone in a deferent country. Totally outstanding service from beginning to end! Like most people I was nervous about going abroad for surgery, I read the previous reviews so many times trying to make my mind up. I honestly really only needed to read any of them only once because the whole experience I was treated and put at ease like I could of imagined, perfect doesn’t even come close!! From email correspondence, the clinics drivers arranging everything from airport pickup to all my clinic appointments, the administration staff, the nurses, the fabulous doctor and the shear level of professionalism from every member of staff that I met. The Nord clinic is an absolutely first class medical facility, operated by professionals and people that care, they really do. From the first inquiry to being discharged and driven to the airport, the whole team just cannot do enough for the patient. My hernia Operation was almost a pleasure, Kaunas and Vilnius offering great cutural backdrops for my visit and I really thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Amazing Klinic , comming from Germany i chose to go to nords, one of the best decissions ever! Prof Almantas Maleckas was just sp professional and amazing! i can only say do it! dont wait the staff and the nurses were amazing i asked 1000 questions they answered everything. ot once did someone get irritated! the logistics were amazing the apartments were also top! all in all do it dont wait! best thing i have ever done ( gastric bypass)

The team at Nordbariatric were absolutely phenomenal from start to finish. From the very first email I sent they have been there to answer every question(no matter how weird or irrational some of my questions were).I had all my questions answered and all the information I could need and they still waited patiently while i went and researched and contacted other clinics to compare and make sure Nords was the team for me...They proved to absolutely be the team for me and after all my research and contact with other clinics(in various places in Lithuania and further afield) they were there waiting and ready to roll when I contacted them to say I had made my decision and was choosing their team.My time in Lithuania was fantastic and the care I received from all involved was exceptional. The girls at the desk in the clinic, the nurses in clinic and on the ward, the Professor all couldn't possibly be nicer, more knowledgeable and caring. Even the logistics team of drivers who pick you up at the airport and shuttle you to and from clinic etc are lovely people and some are downright hilarious!!! I couldn't recommend Nordbariatric highly enough. If members of my own immediate family were looking for a team and surgeon I wouldn't feel comfortable leaving them in the hands of anyone only this team.

I underwent surgery for an Inguinal Hernia on 15 January 2024. I was concerned about going into the unknown but the waiting list for hernia surgery in Belfast is 2-3 years. If you have unsure about travelling somewhere you don't know, join the Facebook group, there are plenty of people who will share their experiences. The feedback was so good I became almost cynical and managed to contact a local lady who was over the moon about the treatment she had for gallstones. I also was in regular contact with the clinic itself and they were nothing but courteous and professional. They even arranged a conversation via WhatsApp via the surgeon. At home on the NHS this wouldn't happen and any 5 minute conversation with a private clinic will cost you £300.00. Every part of my contact with them was professional, That combined with the feedback made up my mind and I booked. I'm glad I did. I don't think I've seen a more modern, hygienically clean hospital. Prior to the operation, I spoke with the surgeon and the anaesthetist. Again I was taken back by their professionalism. Obviously price is the main issue but I just knew I was in safe and capable hands. After surgery, the doctor visited again and we were checked up on by the nurse who was lovely and yet another thoroughly professional person. One thing they do is room you with another person undergoing the same procedure. I was disconcerted by this but it's a very good thing. You can talk each other through your nerves and act as mutual support. Again it's an indication of an incredible detailed approach. The next day they allowed me to stay late and I could have stayed over but decided to leave at 4pm. I know if there are any issues, they'll be right there. One thing I would advise is to give yourself a good few days before travelling back. All surgery is invasive and you need time to recover. In summary, I would have no hesitation in recommending this company. Every part of what they did was first class.

A class service from start to finish, the professor is very skilled and very knowlegable, hence why i suppose he is a professor, before you start looking at expensive uk options, try nord, you wont be dissapointed, everything is covered including dietry requirements that you need to follow.

i flew from london out to nordbariatric clinic for bilateral inguinal hernia surgery the whole process was 100% perfect , the surgeon comes to chat with you in your private room at the clinic before and after surgery , the nurse care is great , i stayed at nord private apartments for four days after surgery to rest up ,where a nurse visits you daily ,i downloaded bolt taxi app though did not need to use it as drivers are included to take you everywhere

Bariatric surgery was something i thought about for years but herein Ireland it is either prohibitively expensive or the public waiting list is just too long, the Nord Clinic and staff were amazing so helpful and attentive i would recommend them any day of the week Thank you Nords

I did my homework before deciding to go with Nord but the experience was far surpassed than any review the clinic is state of the art and the staff from first contact to the nurses looking after my after care were amazing

II had suffered for many years from chest pain and reflux due to Gerd and a Hiatus hernia But surgery in the Uk is a very long process of a wait and see approach and cost privately I could never afford Due to this I searched the net and came across Nordbariatric clinic and inquired From my first communication with the lovely Jurate I felt very confident and for long time of suffering I jumped with joy it was going to be fixed On arrival I was nervous but there was no need to be at all everything is arranged from collection at airport for test and post op preparation even transport to return to airport My first approach with Professor Almantas Malevkas who is a lovely professional gentleman was very informative on my procedure on having my hiatus hernia repaired and also a Toupet 270 fundoplication to prevent reflux From there my surgery all went well a bit discomfort but was relatively short lived I had 5 small incisions that after 4 weeks have healed with no complications at all I was given a dietary list to follow and dressing if needed I stayed one night at the clinic the staff are lovely from nurses to reception staff absolutely brilliant and really helpful and look after you well The drivers that take you around well what can I say very polite always on time and very helpful also So now I’m 4 weeks post op no more pain as before no reflux and sleeping really well without constantly waking up reaching for the Gaviscon and walking around with chest pain It’s a long process in recovery and careful diet but that was expected I cannot Thank Professor Almantas Malevkas enough and all the staff my life has changed so much since surgery and I’m certainly going to take care with my procedure Thank you all so much I am one happy patient that’s regained my life back with all your professional help and support through my procedure
