Simple and good. The receptionists were humble and sweet. I wouldn't mind to spend my time again there like it was good and perfect. The view, the quality was all worth. Wanna visit Udaipur this is the perfect location to stay and enjoy you'll not feel different or any anxiety its fun. The receptionists were very sweet. We had good fun 💕.

Hostel is located at a very congested location , no early check-in facility available. Our luggage was stored in some store room full of trash, Stayed in the common room for about 1 hour and the staff asked repeatedly to go out . We were embarrassed by this behaviour , it's my decision weather to go out or not ! If we talk about staff , there were no staff just 4 random people enjoying each other's company , they just don't entertain the guests. I don't know which civil engineer designed this building but I can say that toilet is just next level the water just don't go in the drain . You can do boating in the toilet itself. There's nothing as hospitality in this hostel ! Don't even expect a water bottle from them Roof top cafe has a good view but the prices touching sky . Final verdict : Don't visit this place

We stayed at the Mantra for 3 nights and were absolutely blown away by the hospitality and quality of the hostel. The rooms are well appointed and charming, with very tasteful finishes. All the amenities of the hostel are fantastic with no complaints to be found. A special mention needs to be had for the team that run the place. I have stayed in many hostels across India but this hostels hands down is the best when it comes to service, staff and view. Ashish and the team go a step ahead to ensure that your stay is comfortable. Their rooftop view is also amazing. Definitely going to visit this place again.

It was an amazing experience staying here. As soon as you enter, you will surely feel like you are being welcomed by your old friends. Vibes here too good which is not to be missed. Wonderful experience staying at Hostel Mantra Udaipur. The staff are very friendly and inclusive. The rooftop café has a beautiful view over the lake - food options are varied, but no Indian cuisine. Rooftop and common room are also nice places to meet new people and enjoy the evening. Ask for poker night ;)

Hands down one of the best accommodation one can enjoy in Udaipur. The atmosphere and the vibes are the simply amazing. The hospitality of the staff is great and they have a very friendly behaviour. This place provides one of the most scenic views in Udaipur. The common areas as well as the dorms are clean and well maintained.

Everything about this place was without any exaggeration priceless. Dorm rooms have pretty sturdy and robust beds, had enough space for everything, great privacy too. Literally everything in this hostel is so bright and soothening, be it it's amazing architecture, people or views. Great helpful stuff that will soon become your friends:) perfect ambience, will come again!

Visited a couple of popular hostels before this one. Hostel Mantra is easily the best hostel in Udaipur. Very aesthetically designed and spacious. The moment you enter the hostel, you know this is the vibe you're looking for. The common areas are huge with a lot of games and the rooftop sunset view is to die for. Special mention to Ashish and Ritu for being such wonderful hosts. Surely coming back here again.

This is located in the city centre and staff is always ready to help and guide their guests. One should definitely come to this place.

Location is great. Its close to the ghats, City palace etc. The check- in was smooth and the rooms were clean. They have a nice and spacious rooftop area and lovely views. The colours chosen are very vibrant. Spent a good time with Host Ashish. He also took us to some popular spots early morning and also suggested local eateries. Overall we had a comfortable stay.

Hostel Mantra has given me numerous reasons to choose a hostel for all of my next journeys! Apart from the prices (very pocket friendly) and the staff (extremely cool and fun), this place also offers good food! It's located very close to the City Palace and majority of the tourist locations are at walking distance. The rooms are clean & spacious. Though you may not want to spend anytime in your room because the view from rooftop is beautiful!! If you're a sunset lover, that view is to die for.

You can meet best bunch of people here. We didnt get enough time to spend here at mantra. People who likes to socialize and wants to meet new set of good people just come here. They also provide good neat rooms and also good services. You can enjoy the beauty of Udaipur from roof top. Definitely you will get a homely feel around here. Highly recommended.

One of the best hostels I stayed at in India so far. The staff was super friendly and put a lot of effort to create community vibes. Free Chai for sunset is awesome and the cafe on the rooftop provides tasty food (bit pricey compared to local restaurants though). Rooms were clean and beds comfortable. It's the perfect place to slow down your travels and get lost for a few nights. The relaxing roof top area is a nice bar area at night and a beautiful spot to see the sun set across the lake. The hostel has a few nice tours to offer. Did only the walking tour which was great. Location is super central.

The property is beautiful and well maintained. One can see the best sunsets from the it's rooftop cafe . The room are neat and tidy with very interesting aesthetics. I have visited the hostel multiple times and have always enjoyed my stay here throughly . Hostel Mantra is an amazing place to stay in Udaipur! Loved the vibe & people especially Ashish who was kind enough to even come down & help us find a car park when we were kind of lost in the city! The Cafe on the Rooftop has a beautiful view of the lake & serves some delicious food. Chicago Pizza, Aalo paratha & the Ginger Lemon tea are a must-try. Being there on the NYE they had an amazing party with live music & even a dance floor later in the night.

On the shores of lake Pichola, great location. One of the best hostels in the city. Nice, clean and spacious dorms. Aesthetic of hostel gives you old city vibes. Friendly and cooperative hosts. Services were on point. Lots of common areas with great arrangements. Roof top cafe with an awesome lake view. Music, bonfire, games and other activities on the rooftop in the evening is a great place to meet new and fellow travelers. Variety on the menu of the rooftop cafe could be increased.

Hostel is very nice. The staff is friendly and management is good as well. We used to chill at the rooftop cafe and play games every night. One can experience beautiful sunsets from the cafe. If you're in Udaipur, you must definitely visit Mantra.

It was an amazing experience staying in hostel mantra. Location is too good, most of the places are ỉn walking distance from hostel mantra. you can enjoy sunrise and sunset from rooftop. Hosts are amazing and cool. Standup comedy evening was too good. You can enjoy with hosts, fellow travellers and forget your tension.

I had a bad experience with this hostel. Lake pichhola view from terrace is good plus. Little overpriced. We were made to pay for a day extra just because we came early around 5 in the morning, may be because the dorms are empty. Even we had a talk with owner and he agreed about early visit and mentioned that we can use common area. Hot water timings are too short. Cafe timing and open area restrictions. No proper communication between the staff regarding the check in. Bedsheets left unchanged even after the previous person left. When we raised to staff after 3-4 times, then they cleaned. We booked the dorms so that we will get to spend some quality time with other travellers, but for a surprise we were allocated with the rooms where the hotel staff stays.

The stay at Hostel Mantra was awesome.. One of the best parts of our Udaipur trip was this Hostel. :) This was my first time in a hostel but I had super fun..just enjoyed my stay here. Ours was the Superior Lake View Double room wch was on the 3rd floor and it had such beautiful view. Even the room had this Rajasthani feel to it. :D The hosts Ashish and Bhushan have maintained the place very nicely..It's cosy and comfortable. They also have a roof top cafe which is beautiful and serves very very tasty food. The food is really too good. All our evenings in Udaipur were spent in tht cafe. People frm different parts of the country who stayed at the hostel used to come to the rooftop every evening and share their experiences, which was the best part for me. One of the days they had arranged for a Karaoke night and we had so much fun. People staying in adjacent hotels and hostels literally came to our hostel and joined us. The hosts personally make sure tht the guests are comfortable. They personally have explored Udaipur and so they have many such unexplored places which they suggest their guests. Well to explore those places you need to stay with Mantra :p One of the best part is the location of this hostel is everything is at a walkable distance from the hostel..so its very convinient when it comes to sightseeing. Overall it was the best time I had after such a long time!!!! I would definitely recommend you to opt for Hostel Mantra...I am damn sure you won't be disappointed!!!

Everything at Hostel Mantra is just absolutely beautiful. Right from the adopted dog you’ll meet at the reception to the views from the rooftop. But the thing that really stands out at this hostel is the people managing the property. Ashish, Bhushan and Rhutu really make you feel like home. The hostel is located at close proximity to most of the tourist destinations in Udaipur. So you can explore in the day and chill with everyone at the rooftop later in the night. From fun poker games, gossip sessions, musical nights to getting to know people from across the world, Hostel Mantra has it all. I went to Udaipur for 3 days but stayed there for 9 days just because I wasn’t willing to leave the the hostel. So if you are in Udaipur, do not look anywhere else. This is the place folks. You won’t regret it trust me :)

Clean and decent size rooms. I stayed in the 6 bed dorm. Its not the biggest but it did not matter as I was always in the common area with the fellow travellers which is why I choose a hostel over a hotel. The room was cleaned twice a day. Location is spot on. Evrything was walking distance from the property. Rooftop view was the highlight. After a long day of exploring the city, just sitting on the rooftop after that was my favourite moment of the entire trip. The rooftop also has a cafe and the food is pretty good. The lasagna, BMC sandwich were my favourite. Morning masala chai was mandatory. Definitely coming back in the winters.

This hostel has a very nice vibe. Besides the interior, what makes it so amazing is the friendly vibe you get from the owners and other guests. The view from this place is unbeatable. Definitely worth coming back to.

Rooms were all clean and the rooftop/common area is awesome.The staff were all super helpful with information about the city and sightseeing, I’ve even kept in contact with them for further information on my trip through Rajasthan. I came to Udaipur for the first time. It was the best experience I’ve had. Best place to stay. Very tasty food. Best view of the lake. Very cool staff. Can’t complain of anything. Will definitely recommend everyone to check out this place.
