I can’t speak for the restaurant/ bar downstairs since I only tried the rooftop bar. The atmosphere was ok but they had a very limited menu. I ordered a tall boy but ended up getting a half-empty cup beer (seen in the picture). I brought it up to the waiter and asked him to at least fill the cup but he said that’s a full beer (not it’s not). Ended up getting charged $8 for this. And the app they force you to use when ordering also automatically charges you a 20% tip. We left after an hour and went to HG supply, which I thought was a much better experience all around.

Never fear, Chance is here. Honestly, we live in the area and this place has been hit or miss for us. Some of the bartenders have been quite aloof and surly, making the experience pretty negative. Chance was a breath of fresh air. Quick service. Great drinks. Too it off with the amazing tots and it’s a 10!

Stopped in from the airport for a quick cocktail and bite to eat. Johnny had some excellent recommendations for drinks and they were delicious. We got the Paloma and the Lucid Dreams. Food was fantastic! Only recommendation is to include more guac with the nachos. We didn’t get meat on ours and were out of guac before half of our nachos were gone.

Been going since they moved to lower Greenville and quality of food has already changed. The manager and server did not accommodate our needs. The nachos & ground beef we ordered didn’t fit the description. Requested more meat and cheese, they wouldn’t remake it so added meat and cheese to an existing cold plate of nachos. Charged $16 for nothing. Order the egg rolls ($13) basically 3 large egg rolls cut in half. Not worth it at all. Only stick to happy hour and drinks.

10/10 would recommend for brunch! I had the breakfast plate, which was reasonably priced and delicious. I don’t eat pork, so finding out that they offer chicken sausage was a huge win. The tater tot hash with the rosemary was *chef’s kiss*. Even the butter had a slight sweetness, and the jelly tasted homemade. Great local, neighborhood spot that we plan to revisit soon.

2nd visit and I'm loving the food. Easy to make vegan. Today Iwe had the Shredded Kale Salad with no cheese and added avocado. Our cocktails was the Ameretto sour hod the egg white and the beautiful purple Sister's Paradise.

We stopped in for drinks, but also ordered the chicken and hot honey pizza. It was surprisingly good and enough to feed 4. As for the drinks, they're good. Not too strong and creative flavors. It's kinda overpriced, but good for the experience

My group came by for a family brunch on a Sunday. We were greeted right away, and our server was very attentive. The entrées were equally wonderful. Each dish was very flavorful & the pancakes are so light & fluffy they just melt in your mouth. I would recommend trying them out. They were not overly crowded as I expected for brunch (however, we did arrive early at 11:30). My only disappointment was the price for a mimosas is $12, almost as much as their breakfast plate. They should have a drink special to go with brunch, in comparison to the very many competitive prices around the same area.

Good food and great service. The green walls were very inviting and made the place feel like a wonderful brunch spot. We came for happy hour and they have a good happy hour menu and drinks. We had a French 75 and a Moscow mule which were delicious. For entree it was the burger that was wonderful. Fries were good and hot but more basic. Would recommend for an afternoon outing for drinks.

I’ll start off by saying, good cocktails, definitely a good place if you want a lot of liquor in a drink. However we only had one food item and so glad we didn’t order more. The crispy rice spicy tuna is lacking so bad. I mean it’s finger food and it’s basically tasteless, just because you slapped some tuna with a jalapeño on top doesn’t make it spicy tuna, and the little cucumber piece you stick between the rice and tuna doesn’t make it more refreshing it makes it even more bland. Really disappointing for a finger food so popular and so easy to execute well.

I came here during the month of December and the decor was awesome! Very festive for the holiday season with snowman, stockings covering the seats and Christmas lights. The cocktail menu was unique with fun names to read for the season. They weren’t outstanding but decent. They also gave us a complimentary mistletoe shot to brighten up the mood. They didn’t offer us water but also we didn’t ask. The servers were attentive to us. I would return due to the cool ambiance!

One of my favorite Happy Hours in Deep Ellum. Meticulously crafted cocktails are at the forefront of HIDE, but the HH food menu is super affordable with great portions and are full of just as much thought-out flavor as the drinks they make. I usually end up getting a Tom Collins because I can, and it's very, very hard to pass up the $6(!) double burger and fries; although the Tabasco(?) ketchup comes off a little bitter and not an enjoyable spicy to me. Best yet is the popcorn on their menu — it is so so good. It's $2, and a heaping mound of herby, salt/umami-crystal flaked popcorn. Tons of buttery flavor that goes well with/aligns some of the focused aromatics they use in their offerings. Seriously though, had everything on the HH Menu at some point and each item is nothing short of a knockout when based on my classic Cost per Cal by Flavor ratio or soon to be seen in dining out textbooks as the formula — CPC x F. In a couple of visits, I've never had bad service. Even if I had something they forgot or omitted, the staff there was always super helpful, courteous and made sure I was taken care of. They have a new brunch menu from what I remember so I can't wait to give that a shot some weekend soon. Great place.

Bartender Jonathan served me a French 75 (made w/ brandy), which was absolutely delicious. We also had ordered Knots as our appetizer along with an espresso martini and a 50/50 martini. All during happy hour! (3-6pm)

I have visited the inside multiple times and the upstairs Christmas bar twice. While I've gotten 5 star service and decent food inside at the bar, I've gotten 1-3 star service both times upstairs at the Christmas bar. Inside: Attentive bartenders. The food is super mediocre but the vibe, service, and drinks are good. Upstairs: They have drinks on the menu that they don't actually have but since you order on your phone, the price doesn't change. My pizza was brought out and put down on the table while others who ordered pizzas got little stands. We were given no napkins, no water, no utensils, no plates ... just a pizza on the table. The tip is already filled in and I wonder what I'm tipping for but then had the nerve to request additional tip. FOR WHAT?! Definitely won't be visiting the upstairs ever again ... Christmas or not.

I honestly think that the crispy chicken & hot honey is a great tasting pizza BUT the thin crust is WAY TOO CRISPY. I don’t know if the kitchen crew over baked the pizza or it just comes that way but I kid you not, I had a headache from trying to chew it. I enjoy thin crust pizza but this pizza would be better with a thicker crust. Hear me out, the chicken is already fried and crispy on top of a thin crust pizza that is baked so hard the cheese is brown. That’s a pretty dry combination. The paper planes drink was tasty. Overall the restaurant is in a great location. Love the outside patio and the inside is nice as well. Please consider this review with the best intentions. I genuinely want to order that pizza again but I simply wouldn’t.

This is the 2nd time we have been to Hide. The first time was in 2019 at their old location. I got a mocktail this time and it was great. My wife got two cocktails and 1 was undrinkable. It was a gun rhubarb with a champagne acid balance. She couldn't tell why it was not good. For sure check out but slip that drink.

Was there last Monday and had probably the best martinis made by Andy. Good bread knots and other food. A little pricey as I spent a little over 100 on 3 drinks and 2 food items, but great food, vibes and attitude from the tiny bartender downstairs.

I can appreciate a good cocktail and HIDE has a lot to choose from! Went for brunch and although good, it wasn't spectacular. Be warned! The pulled pork bowl is S-P-I-C-Y! The menu only states "peppers" as an ingredient without mentioning you'll sweat your way through the meal. Luckily, I like spicy food. Unfortunately my friend who also ordered it does not and couldn't finish the dish. Staff is kind, patient and helpful. I'd go back again, but maybe to enjoy the bar vibe instead of brunch.

Burger and Dirty Tots were outstanding! Lively atmosphere with great drinks. Staff were very friendly and I had the pleasure of meeting the establishment owner who was extremely hospitable. I'll be back with friends!

Great drinks and appetizers, will need to come back for the food! The rooftop was also beautiful, a nice addition to lower Greenville

I’ve been to Hide twice. Once for happy hour and once in the evening. The happy hour menu is great! Several $7 cocktail options from 3-6pm. When I went for evening drinks we weren’t as impressed. The vibe was more club like than classy and the outdoor patios feel crowded.

The staff and atmosphere is great! We've tried several food items and all were amazing except for the nachos. It was the worst appetizer! The chips are so small and the cheese is so hard that nothing sticks to the chips. While the roof deck has nice atmosphere, the service is extremely slow. They need to offer servers just like the first level Great addition to Lower Greenville.

Stopped in for the Christmas craft cocktail pop up bar and can't wait to come back for the regular menu. Super knowledgeable bar staff. But even better, friendly and welcoming. Cocktails highlight the ingredients and not just sugar like a lot of places. A very strong recommend.

Pork bowl was very spicy despite being ordered mild. The "baked eggs" are a small cast iron pan with a soupy cheese sauce and a griddle fried egg on top... most bizzar thing I've seen in awhile. There is not 1 healthyish option on the menu. Brunch needs some work. Wait staff was great!

Luckily they weren’t hiding away their ability to make a fabulous cocktail served by friendly bartender Chris! I see why they won best bar in Dallas for the last couple years. I had a delicious spot on rye Manhattan with a luxardo cherry while chatting with a knowledgeable bartender and while sitting in their relaxing room. I can’t wait to go back and try some of their other concoctions. I highly recommend this place if you want a great drink in a great setting with the fabulous vibe. Go! Went a second time & will. DEFINITELY return again and again. Colby is the best bartenders house can speak knowledgeably about Amaros. Try his recs. $6 delicious cheeseburgers in addition to amazing cocktails. Why not?!?!

Good food and good (and strong drinks) happy hour is until 7pm weekdays. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The good menu is super limited but you can likely find something you'll enjoy. The double cheeseburgers are a dream. The mixed drinks aren't overly sweet or watered down.

Absolutely the best bar ever!!! I am very much so into gin drinks. The best gimlet ever is the Southside cocktail. I will come here ever Friday from now on. I see they have brunch so I may just have to sleep here on the weekends. The food is great... the vibe is great... the drinks kill. I see why this place has won the awards it has. My brother said it's our new spot! 🍸🥃
