I fell in love with The Audubon immediately. The huge windows, the beautiful architecture, the ceiling and walls; every part of this physical space was stunning. Even beyond the gorgeous physical setting, Boxwood and their entire team know what they’re doing. The catering, which is through them, was incredible. I have several friends and family with food allergies, and they accommodated everything easily. The food was delicious, and they make everything in such a way that no food is wasted. The bar area is centrally located without disrupting the dance floor, and when I asked that special care be given for recycling, they told me they already have that in place! Working with Ashley was especially wonderful. I had a planner, but the coordinator at TRAC was also readily available, and had solutions for every single scenario I had questions about. Ashley was truly a dream to work with. From start to finish, every person I worked with at TRAC and Boxwood was genuinely incredible. They know their stuff. But perhaps the best part of working with them was how special our wedding day felt. I know they do this nearly every weekend with hundreds (maybe thousands) of couples. Yet my family and I felt like our wedding was the only one on their plate. They cared about our questions and were excited with us every step of the way. I loved working with this team and cannot recommend them, or this stunning site, enough. Thank you all so much.

The trails are great and well maintained but the visitor’s center isn’t open on most Sundays so time you’re visit. The trees were dormant in January and probably a beautiful hike during warmer times of the year.

We went on a Thursday morning in May. Lovely weather, no crowd. However, in the museum all the interactive exhibits are still disabled due to COVID, which was disappointing to my kids (not me). Amazed at the transformation from trash dump to our native blackland prairie!

Beautiful spot- I can't believe all this is in Dallas. Lots of benches and picnic tables to stop and take a break while out on the trails. Very informative exhibit inside the center about the history of the area.

We stopped by this place in 2016 to check it out for a wedding venue. I cant remember why we did pick this location, but we did enjoy our time here. we took the trail and nature walk and saw so many creatures. I still consider it one of my best dates with my love.

Naturally Beautiful preserve. Trails abound. Nice facilities for a bicycle pit stop while trail riding.

A great place to see lots of birds (spoiler alert, this is the Audubon Center), butterflies, and marshy wildlife. The trails are well marked and maintained, and there's a few shacks available for birding if that's your thing. If not, bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the 2-3ish miles of trails with prairie and pond views.

This is an urban oasis. It’s just off the city center but feels like you’ve escaped entirely. It offers a few miles of trails to walk, some paved some dirt, around prairie wetlands and forest. Great place to see a lot within a short distance. Bird-watching seems to be a focus here, but it was great just for mature in general.

Oct 7, 2023 Came out for the guided bird walk. It was such a fresh morning and beautiful day for birding. Plenty of bird calls & bird activity. Great guide and group turnout. The trails are amazing and I had a great time spent here. I’d recommend joining a bird walk and support TRAC. The entire TRAC crew are amazing and friendly.

The Trinity River Audubon Center was a fantastic spot for photographing a wedding. The proximity to downtown is great for if you have guests traveling in and the Boxwood Team who handles the events were one of our favorite groups ever.

Great Experience. Most people in Dallas have no idea this is in their backyard.

A beautiful site for walking, bird watching, and flower sniffing. The building housing the center is an architectural gem. The employees are exceptionally welcoming and knowledgeable. The gift shop has a variety of original items. Shame that it took a law suit to turn a garbage dump into this treasure trove.

I had my wedding here in June and it was overall a great experience! I feel like this place is a hidden gem in Dallas and not a lot of people know it exists. All of my guests were blown away by the beauty of the nature as well as the building/venue it self. I loved that my guests could explore the whole area and take advantage of the outdoor spaces during the reception. The Audubon is truly a special place and I would highly recommend it as a wedding venue!

The workers were so friendly and helpful. We enjoyed walking the different trails. Going in late May was fun as it was filled with butterflies. They were everywhere and one hitchhiked on me for at least 10 minutes. Entrance is free for the rest of the year (2023).

This is a nice place just outside of the city to escape to! The trails are short but nicely laid out and you'll be able to see at least some wildlife depending on when you go. The gift shop had a nice selection of local artwork. The staff here were knowledgeable about the area and history of the facility.

There are a variety of habitats available for birds who might be stopping by. That makes for some good bird watching! I liked the view of the Trinity River on the far end of the sanctuary. I also enjoy how quiet it is. That might be the best part.

Absolutely amazing place! They were having a big event so i was unable to look at all of the cool stuff inside but the trails are stunning! Due to lack of rain, a lot of the ponds were empty or low, but that didn’t take away from it

This is a great place for introducing bird watching to your kiddos. You'll be equipped with binoculars and a guide who shares info about local birds and habitat, plants, etc. He points out different bird sounds, which bird it is and gives time to try and find through the nocs. I was with my grands, ages 3 and 7. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will go again soon. There are more points of interest inside such as pamphlets, gift store and subjects to inspect. Get going and happy birding! I would like to express my thanks to the entire team here! 👍🐦

Such a beautiful place inside and out. It made for a stunning wedding reception location. It’s the perfect getaway for some nature near the big city.

The trails were easy and well maintained. It was good to see something positive come out of a flaming illegal trash dump. But, the visitor center needs a major refresh. None of the interactive displays worked
