Incompetent staff failing to let me know there were no refunds on any item. I bought a set of $250 MaxTrax for a mate’s birthday, unfortunately his dad beat me to giving him a set. I came back less than a week later after purchase to refund them, and to my surprise the staff appeared to know that there were no refunds but failed to let me know before spending $250. After waiting for the manager for almost half an hour the ASSISTANCT manager Terone said that there’s a sign out the front (but none at the counter where you’re buying the items). Also mentioned customers only have 2 days to change their mind and only receive store credit, and he explained how it was lenient of him to offer store credit 5 days after I purchased. In the photo, on the right is where you’ll find the yellow sign with the companies policy to refuse you a refund amongst all the other clutter of advertising. Reply to Tentworlds comment: Your “change of mind refund policy” is that there is no refunds, of course I’m not happy, I ended up with $250 paperweights. You “trying” your best, is giving customers 2 days to return there items when the industry standard is 28+ days to get a REFUND.

We are camping newbies and we were not sure if camping will suit us before we walked into the store. When we walked in to the store, we were overwhelmed, this store have a great range of different products and we don't know where to start. We have to give a BIGH SHOUT OUT to Mark, he is very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. He helped us to find the right camping gears that may suit our camping style and made us feel more confidence about starting our camping journey. We will definitely be back.

Just purchased the Coleman 3 person swagger tent for nearly half price sale off peak season. Very friendly staff. Not pushy. Made me feel welcome. Offered to erect the tents I was interested in. Great selection of camping gear. I will definitely be back.

Despite a pleasant and helpful store manager one of the other staff members was smarmy and sarcastic and not a great girl to have dealing with customers with that attitude. Maybe be a little nicer to your customers and they might return the courtesy to you. Would I recommend this store? Probably not. Despite spending a lot of money here I'll buy my camping supplies from elsewhere from now on.

Absolutely the best customer service today by Mark who helped us choose three camping mats to suit our needs. Yesterday we visited BCF and Anaconda and received zero assistance and nothing was out of its packaging for us to touch and feel. Tentworld had all their multiple brands and ranges inflated and available to test drive. BRILLIANT.

This is a store with and extraordinary amount of tents and the like on display, setup and in a mode of display that enables you to make a well informed purchase decision. This is unlike many similar stores. They also have plenty of parking. It is quite a drive out of Melbourne though. The staff a helpful and will even help you measure items if needed with their tape measure 🖐️ Highly recommend.

Today was my first time visiting Tentworld in person, and I was amazed at the large selection of so many different products. The best part was the very helpful stuff who were very knowledgeable about all the different products and did not push you to buy anything. Just happy to help answer your questions and they even ask you questions about what you want to use it for and if the product wouldn't do what you thought it would or they know of a better product they would have one on hand to show you, so you could compare the different between them. Many thanks to Sam, who helped me personally, and Steven, who was the acting store manager who helped troubleshoot problems very quickly on the computer for an item I ordered.

Within a week of purchasing a tent and using it for just one night, the tent's door broke. Tentworld refused to provide any repair or replacement, and I don't understand the meaning of a two-year warranty. It was the worst experience ever. I will never patronize them again and will opt for more reliable options like BCF or other specialized stores.

Service was friendly and I was able to find the things I needed in the very crowded but logically laid out store. Make sure you check your pricing and know your gear elsewhere. I bought several items, two were priced around my expectations but I impulse grabbed another item which was four times more expensive than other stockists. My own fault assuming everything would be competitive. Didn't really realise it until I went home.

Now, while I love the Tentworld product range, the overall shopping experience is, let's say, average at best as the attitude of "some" of the sales team appear to be disinterested & not very helpful which makes you feel like they are doing you favour, it's a good thing BCF is not around the corner

I quite like Tentworld. They have good customer service and a great range of products for the outdoors. Their delivery is always reliable and their website is always up to date. The products they sell are all good quality too. You get all this at great pricing. I highly recommend Tentworld.

stocked up to the brim! passing by i dropped in to see what bits and pieces i could find; and to my surprise, i walked into a haven. everywhere you looked there was something. a little overcrowded, a floor space/stock for sale type of place, makes one appreciate a well stocked store. parking was a breeze as the shoulder of the road is well positioned to safely pull over. best wishes.

Great range but absolutely no service. The kids working there just stood behind the counter chatted and joked with each other. The store was busy but no one was being helped. THIS IS A BAD LOOK. you are meant to be in the industry to help people experience the outdoors and provide service and advice NOT SING TO EACH OTHER AND PLAY GAMES. I will never purchase anything from tentworld after witnessing such a disregard for customers and the role they are hired to fill.

I purchased some Luci colour solar lights online. They arrived within the week, and were packaged beautifully. I am so happy with the range of colours, and they look great outside!

This is a large store where the.staff went out of their way to help. Large range of gear. I was looking for a tent. At times I feel with tents you have only two markets. You can pay exorbitant prices for hiking tents from boutique shops or extremely cheap prices at the mass stores. It would be good if there was a middle ground. Good quality tents at reasonable prices. Ill continue my search.

The Zempire Mantis folding table I ordered arrived very quickly. It was good quality with everything as described. This is the second time I've found items at Ferntree Gully Tentworld that I haven't been able to find anywhere else. Last time they kindly put the items aside until I could pick them up, but I decided to get things delivered this time. All very easy.

Had a warranty issue and Tracey in customer support was absolutely outstanding! Not only was communication excellent, but a replacement product was quickly dispatched to me with constant updates from her. 10/10 give Tracey a pay rise 👌🏽

Exchanged our faulty tent no issue. They only give store credit. Wasn't a prob for us. Would go back and shop there again. Reasonable prices.

I won't buy anything from this store again, even though it used to be my go-to store. I trusted this store and bought almost everything I needed for camp there. But when I needed a little help, the staff were very indifferent. I understand there is nothing they can do, but the cold and uncaring attitude makes me sad.

Great team of people who seem to have good knowledge of camping. Anything they don't know they do their best to find out for you. Store is stocked well with lots of the bulky items on display.

Purchased a thermoelectric cooler to replace my old one that was stolen in October 2021. Said item opened in January to use for a work trip for water and my insulin and it didn’t work properly. Took to repairer and been there over 3 weeks and not repaired. Been advised it needs parts ( not bad for an item that was DOA). Advised parts will be there mid June. Not good enough!! I have a work trip to outback QLD on Monday and no cooler. The manager was rude and arrogant and told me I could call Dometic. The way the manager spoke it seems they had a good chinwag about it all and decided to do nothing. I’m now left with no other choice but to take this to consumer affairs and to plea to others don’t buy from these people. They don’t want to help you.

Brilliant place, has everything one could ever need for their outdoor adventure. Staff are great, very friendly and professional whilst also being personable. Definitely recommend!

Excellent knowledge in all things camping. We purchased a tent and decided we wanted to upgrade to something a little better suited to bigger trips. Even though our return policy was expired manager was very helpful and let me return tent and purchase a brand new one. Would recommend Tent world to everyone looking at getting outdoors.

Bought Oztrail Lumos Block out 6P tent Very helpful girl in the staff. Spent 20 mins to help me decide on the tent. Also answered my questions about other camping hears. I also got a good price match of $50 at the counter. I recommend doing research regarding price match.

I had an issue with a Companion battery that was out of warranty. The store gave me contact details for Companion who got back to me very quickly offering to replace the battery! The Tentworld staff were then really helpful in tracking down the details of my original purchase. All interactions were friendly, polite and very helpful.

The product range is great and prices are competitive , however, the customer service is severely lacking in store. We went in with the intention to spend $600 on a swag plus another $400 on a stretcher and asked the staff member if we can possibly see one set up. His response was simply “no, we don’t have one set up and we don’t have any in stock”. That was it, no solution offered. We ended up going next door to Aussie Disposals to see a similar brand that was on display then placed our order through Tent World. Returned a few weeks later when our order arrived. We stood at the counter while another customer was being served for about 5 minutes - we counted 3 additional staff members who weren’t with customers who walked and stood behind the counter yet didn’t look at us or offer any kind of service. Once we did get to pay for our order the staff member brought it to the counter (two large heavy boxes) and plonked them on the floor - took them off his trolley and pointed to a smaller trolley and said we could use that. Not a single offer to help get the boxes to the car! While waiting another lady wanted some information on a kids camping chair, she offered to show the staff member behind the counter which chair she was looking at but he refused to walk from behind the desk and searched on his computer, despite this she told him she’d go get it herself and literally had the chair in hand less than 1 minute later. It all seems minor and I don’t usually complain in reviews but Tent World in Ferntree Gully REALLY needs to up their customer service game, especially being the only store in Victoria. I will only shop online from now on as it seems like a waste of time going into the store.

I purchased the Oztrail 10 person fast frame tent under four weeks ago and could not be more disappointed in this purchase. Within the first 24 hours of using the tent in average weather conditions, one of the top connecting roof beams collapsed overnight. This made the tent collapse, become unstable and no longer weatherproof. I had to sleep in the corner of the tent for three more days which was super uncomfortable. I had to hold the structure up with cable ties to get through my trip. I consulted with Tentworld and took loads of photos on the fault in the structure, requesting a refund/replacement. They denied my request immediately saying it was caused by weather which isn't the included in the warranty. I told them I was located in Melbourne and they proceeded to send back vague weather data for Melbourne on the night, assuming the weather conditions were the same across the Greater Melbourne Region. Where I was located had normal/clear weather conditions, and indeed the fault was actually in the beam/structure of the tent not being secured properly, not the weather. I am now left with an unusable tent and I'm completely disappointed in this purchase and the company. Do not purchase this tent, the quality is so low!

Normally the Ferntree Gully store is pretty good but today not at all. In the hour I was in-store I couldn’t get any help and it wasn’t even busy. Shopping with three kids is hard enough so was hoping to be in and out relatively quickly. Ended up leaving with no tent purchased. Very disappointing.

Pity there are not more stores. Tentworld is awesome. Reminds me of an old fashioned camping store that has varieties of just about everything. I went there to buy Darche brackets for my awning. Nowhere else had them except online with weeks to wait for delivery. Great brackets, and they had plenty of them. While I was there, I ended up buying things I never knew I needed.

Great service, always checking to see if we needed help without being too pushy. Gave us a great price based on online information as well.

No product in store as only had the display chair left. Asked for a discount on the display but was refused. Product then ordered online and was delivered very quickly from elsewhere

Great store.. very helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly staff. Spoke to Sam today at the store, and he answered all of my questions and guided me in the right direction. Will be going back to buy a bunch of stuff from him very soon.

Rang to check stock levels on an item. The young assistant took the time to check and set aside my item. He served me when I arrive. Lovely young man. Great service. Rare to find these days

Our first visit to Tentworld and very new to camping. We were expecting to spend around $500 during our quick visit today. Upon asking for advice from the lady with bright red hair, we received mainly insulting comments about the camping gear that we already have. It seems odd that management would allow someone of this nature to work with customers. We have now decided to buy the same Oztrail camping gear from another retailer. Good gear, but bad service.
