This place has a lot going on! It’s a seat yourself type of establishment with plenty of seating. The food portions are impressive, staff is friendly and the decor is fun. The booth was a tad small for us family of 5 so perhaps take a right when walking in the door.

First time here and can say I will be back. I got the chicken tender platter with fries, broccoli and Mac and cheese. The tenders were juicy, well seasoned and fresh. The fries were basic (what you would expect), the broccoli was soft if you like that. I prefer a slight crunch but it was good for unseasoned and soft broccoli. Lastly the Mac and cheese was delicous. They offer corn bread or rolls, get both! The corn bread is sweet and moist the rolls were soft and had a buttery flavor! The noodles were well cooked, the cheese was creamy and overall it was the best side ever. The area is tight and loud but Ill be back to try other food. Overall it was delicous!

Norma’s Cafe was definitely worth trying out! Our waitress Christina was very helpful and amiable! Please ask for her when you eat in at Norma’s! I devoured the Chilaquiles plate and it did not disappoint. All the ingredients were super fresh! You get a side order of tortillas to go with your meal. Seems the bakery goods are popular, but did not get to try them out! Next time! Thank you Christina and Norma’s Cafe for your services!

We went for breakfast. A good amount of food for the price. The biscuits were pretty tasty. Busy place but still got in rather quickly and waited on. The memorabilia on the walls was definitely interesting. Didn't get any pictures of the walls, though.

Stopped by to have breakfast, and it was beautifully busy as it should. I sat at the bar my waitress named was LaTisha she was so sweet, and a great Multitasking different with multiple tables. Food was good for the most part just need a little more seasoning, and the eggs on the omelet was not as yellow as I liked. Overall, it's a very relaxing restaurant, and the staff was Super Friendly 👌. I've eaten here before food was great, but this was my 1st time eating breakfast.

Norma’s is a classic! I have been to some of the other locations, but first time at this one and it did not disappoint. The cinnamon roll is definitely a must get. Unless you’ve got a real sweet tooth, you will probably need to share it as it is bigger than your face! I will definitely continue visiting Norma’s

The cornbread was my favorite thing here. I wasn’t a fan of my food, neither was my friend. It looked great but didn’t really taste great. We got the number 5 and number 7. It’s a cute place as far as decorations and we didn’t have to wait long to be seated but I just wouldn’t come back. Server was friendly.

We ordered lunch to be delivered from here for 8 people. From the time of order to the pickup time and the delivery time went pretty smooth. Food still arrived warm. There was a large amount of food with every order. We also got 24 rolls with our order, and a lot of butter packs. I ordered the meatloaf, the tomato sauce was good, however the meatloaf seemed a little dry. If you see from the picture, it was a little messing from how it was packed, maybe use a different container or put sauce and gravy it a different container. Mashed potatoes and gravy was leaking a little out the side. Other than that the flavor was good, definitely got full with plenty to eat….now I just need a nap!

Been to Norma’s several times. Anytime I find myself around the area I tend to go and they never disappoint. Food is delicious, coffee nice n strong just how I like it… the only reason why I gave 4 stars is because on my last visit my food arrived to me slightly cold.

Our waitress was extremely cordial and competent. The late breakfast was absolutely delicious, especially the biscuits and gravy. It’s a great place to have a birthday brunch. Thanks Norma’s Cafe!

Let’s start off with parking… wasn’t a fan at all enough said about that. It was pretty busy and crowded, but even though it was we didn’t have a long wait. The cooking is like a Homestyle cooking, comfort food, cafe. The food was tasty and my fiancé and his dads breakfast was hot when served but I got a BLT sandwich, which my toasted bread was cold and hard as a brick, wasn’t a fan of it at all sadly and I love BLT’s. Now I will say while over looking the menu I seen what I thought was a typo so I asked our waitress “is the PB&J really $30.00?!?” Yes it is… because the PB is imported was the reply I got. I was just like WOW… okay. Yeah we didn’t order it but did google it to look at photos & others who did and lmao was not impressed at all.

Friday, 01/05/2024 Food overall is a two of five for me. It's okay, not worth a return visit. The cinnamon roll was the blandest cinnamon roll I have ever had in my life. I took a picture as I didn't even see any cinnamon. ANYWHERE! It tasted just like their regular rolls. It's like they took that dough and made it look like a cinnamon roll and poured icing on it. So disappointed!

Came here on a Sunday and the place was poppin but they got us seated pretty quickly. I've been here a few times in the past but my boyfriend has not. We started with the friend mushrooms and they were amazing! We shared the pot roast and the chicken fried steak. Everything was mind blowing. Despite being busy, our server Diane was extremely efficient, we never had to ask for refills or anything. She was great at previewing and making sure we enjoyed our experience. 10 out of 10 will be coming again. Great food and amazing service, at least with Diane😉

Wow, this place is out of this world, it’s been here since 1956 and serves some of the best diner food I’ve ever had! - and besides the great food and awesome ‘50s diner vibes, our waitress Gizmo was the best, she really made the whole experience something to remember (so try and sit in her section when ya go) - three cheers for good ol’ Norma’s Cafe, may it still be here in 2056!

I had the country breakfast with chicken fried steak and asked for onion and bell pepper in my hash browns. Well the chicken fried steaks crust was thicker than the piece of meat and it was from the frozen section cause the thick coating just totally separated from the meat. The hash browns were sooo dry and it looked like they cooked the onions and bell peppers separately and just placed on top of the hash browns. The best thing they had was the coffee. We were the first ones in that morning and boy the lady answering the phone with the white hair was already grumpy. My waitress was fine thankfully. I would think that a place like this made everything from scratch..i guess not.

Good spot for breakfast and lunch. Sometimes the wait is a little long but usually it’s if ur a party of 4 or more. Recently tried chicken and dressing and fell in love! The ham is the best protein choice as well as the CFC. Friendly servers too. Tried the sirloin and it’s not bad either. Varies

My new favorite place!! Let me start with the most delightfull rolls..... I am NOT a bread person, it takes too much room in the tummy that should be saved for other goodies however, this buttery, sweet, fluffy goodness is another story. The chicken fried steak is the best I've had in Texas so far!! Crunchy tasty outside with an amazing flavor in the inside. I had the brown gravy, I love that you get a choise of white or brown. Now I HAVE to go back again and try the white one. For my sides I had; the salad, mashed potatoes, which were buttery delish, and the chicken gumbo which would have been perfect if it wasn't for the amount of black pepper it was cooked with. My brother loves pepper so he thought it perfection. Norma's was sooooo good we went back again the next day, I had the catfish which did not disappoint! The fish was flaky and breaded soo tastefully it left me wanting more! I will warn you the ice tea is addicting so be prepared. There will more than likely be a wait and the parking lot will be full on Saturdays and Sundays but it will definitely be worth it. The food will leave you dying to go back, and the service is on point. Wish I had room for dessert cause the cinnamon roll looks soooooo good!

Great place for great breakfast food and fun local Dallas vibes. Normas is a fun blast to the past as you step inside an get a quick glance of some of Dallas' history. The service was very good, we got our coffee delivered to us almost immediately, and wait time for food was no problem. Having young and noisy kids was no problem for them as they were very attentive and even cleaned up a big mess that our kids made. Chicken fried chicken was fabulous, as were their fluffy, delicious homemade biscuits. I love the pancakes as well, they were on the crispier side which is exactly how I like them. As a big fan of retro diners I found Normas to check all the boxes I would expect.
