Absolutely brilliant! More welcoming than my actual family! They showed me round, made a fantastic dinner each night and looked after me. I was travelling by myself but at no point did I feel alone. Everything was taken care of Could not recommend the place more - the best in Sri Lanka

Just finished three wonderful nights with the most amazing hosts Madhu & Sanjay. The place itself is recently built, immaculate, spacious and beautiful. We originally booked only breakfast but ended up eating dinner here twice as well and it was the best food we had in the whole Dambulla! Highly recommended

Our relationship with simoya had begun before our stay. We requested to arrange airport transfer from them. They kindly accepted and arranged but because of the fuel situation in sri lanka they had to change the driver couple times and they didn’t sleep all night long to make us arrive Simoya safely. Finally we arrived and met with Depaal and Madu. They welcomed us warmly. The room was very clean and big. The wifi was good. Cave temple and Golden temple was 10 minutes walk from Simoya. We also wanted to go Pidurungala and Depaal immediately arrange us a tuk tuk. They cooked special Sri lankan meals all was very delicious. Last night in Simoya was my birthday and we came across with unbelievable surprise. They prepared a birthday cake which has my photo on it. They bought baloons and Madu and Depaal’s lovely daughter created a birthday card for me. It was a lovely surprise. We celebrated our birthday together and it was unforgettable moments. The last Depaal took us to the bus station and waited until we get in the bus. After all experience i can say we have a family in Sri lanka.

Really nice place to stay, hosts are extremely welcoming and go out of their way to ensure your stay is as comfortable and pleasant as possible. Room is very comfortable, food served by the hosts is super tasty! Highly recommend!

Great experience! Very nice place, quiet location near the Cave Temple, the room was clean and comfortable, food was delicious, served and any time and place we wanted. Reasonably priced. The best part were the owners - very friendly, pleasant and VERY helpfull (even days after we left). Owner drived us to all the places we wanted. I would recommend this place to everyone.

I was here twice during my Sri Lanka trip. The place is amazing. For a low price you get the feeling of being in an amazing resort. Deepal and his family are amazing hosts, and the breakfast is by far the best we've had in Sri Lanka! The place is in the jungle next to the Golden Buddha and the Cave Temples, and they also rent out a scooter so you can visit Sigiriya easily from here in a half-day trip! I really recommend this place. If I go back to Sri Lanka, I'll for sure stay here again!

The feeling of a home stay with the comforts of a 5 star hotel. We loved staying with Deepal and his family whom we were sad to say goodbye to at the end of our stay. Deepals passion for his garden is infectious and makes your appreciate how good the produce from this country. We were endulged in some amazing cooking with scrumptious breakfasts (we requested the traditional which I would recommend, but they do a great continental breakie too) and eye wateringly good dinner. A lovely few days here with the Caves a 10min walk up the road, and Lion Rock on a 20min tuktuk drive up the road. Amazing location for us to get a few days of site seeing and relaxation. On our last day, deepal and his wife (who is an absolute queen, so inspiring all her business ventures) took us for a drive around their local area including their local Buddhist temple, cricket ground, and lake/dam. Lovely at dusk. Frequent stops to see the many spices growing by the roadside. Why pay for a spice garden tour when you have deepal? Deepal waited for over an hour at the bus stop with us to make sure we got on the right bus to tricolomee, so accommodating we felt part of his family We will be back! Thanks again for an epic stay

My second stay here before hot air balloon ride. Modern clean rooms with good size bathrooms. Meals are served often outside of the rooms back or front. WILL be staying here again.

Amazing Experience. Very pretty, clean and comfortable room in quiet neighbourhood, yet close to city centre and the Dambulla cave temple. We loved it. Excellent breakfast. The family running the place is absolutely adorable. They showed us around with their car, took us to a local dance show and for a Ayurveda massage, and we visited gorgeous places we would not have found ourselves. Best experience in Sri Lanka, I would give six stars if I could. Many thanks and very best wishes to Madhu and Sanje and their lovely family.
