We found the place on Google maps and we were unsure if it would be opened! We arrived here for lunch after a long and hot climb to the temple and we were starving and thirsty! What an amazing surprise to see so much authentic food with so many flavours and taste!! Amazing Sri Lanka food, if you ever como to dambulla this is absolutely a must try!! Very nice owner and his mum is the chef, she is amazing! Price for buffet was 950 each, including water and coffe!

Best food in Sri Lanka so far. The place is so beautiful and relaxing that you would love to stay for longer. They also have guest house. Totally recommend it.

The place was closed (no turists). But when the owner find out that my lady's name is Sandra and that our kids just wanted to have Kottu roti...he invited us in anyway and prepared their special kottu for us in one mega-bowl! :) One of the bests kottu (if not the best) we had in 23 days in SL)

Great local restaurant, delicious and healthy buffet food. Super friendly staff who go out their way to welcome you and buy you any drink you want at the local store. Highly recommend.

We went two nights in a row for a Sandra's exquisitely cooked buffet. 950r gets you all access to 10+ dishes, a bottle of water and some fruit for dessert. Very tasty and extremely friendly too. Thanks again

Buffet type of place. We came in very late but there was still food available. They even made some more when we asked. Very nice place with delicious food:)

Had a great home cooked meal at Sandra. There was a big variety of local, traditional curries that tasted superb and can be enjoyed by anyone since they have used just the right levels of spices and chili. The service of good and the owner was warm and friendly.

Fantastic buffet meal. One of the best home cooking meals we had in our month in Sri Lanka and Krishan was so knowledgable and helpful organizing us to go and see the nocturnal loris in the arboretum nearby and taking us and picking us up.

Nice place, the buffet is very good and tasty. But the price is way too much expensive (1750 roupies per person) unless you come to empty the buffet to optimise. Maybe we get too much used to local Sri Lanka price. She put a bottle of water on the table so we thought it was included.. we had to pay.

Our stay at Sandras Restaurant was very delightful. The Buffet consisted of a wide variety of vegetarian curries and every dish tasted amazing!

Very delicious food and excellent nice hosts! Only problem was the mosquitos. The host kindly offered a fan, but those mosquitos were relentless!

Amazing authentic Sri Lankan food, the best we tasted on our Sri Lanka trip so far. Our favourite Dambulla restaurant that we tried. You can try lots of different bits as much as you like. Lovely family!

The restaurant was practically opened for us. Not other clients probably due to the still low season. The host, Sandra's mother in law, was super nice and the food very good.

Literally the best home cooked food I have ever eaten, and beats every 5 star hotel in SL. Do not pass up on eating here. You’ll be greeted with smiling faces and leave with a happy, happy heart and belly. Lankave Hondama Kaema. Mama kisima hotelayakin mita vada hondata kaala naeha. Aruma puduma!!!!
