Great location, very clean, delicious food. Best spot we've stayed during our Sri Lanka tour. All people there have been so friendly, helpfully and warmly, so we really felt at home. Very good assistance for our trips to Polunaruwa and Singira. Our Tuk Tuk driver was very good and showed us many interesting spots and animals. Highly recommended, thank you for the great time with you.

Kumara is a great host. After staying at many places in srilanka, i don't think we have found a better host than Kumara. So, thanks Kumara. The place is great, the food is great, they arrange bike, tuktuk for your convenience. Stay here. It's super close to the temple and amidst nature. You can see monkeys and hanumans(grey langur) and lots of birds. It's a cute homely place. And the staff chandana is also super helpful with great suggestion for restaurants. And kumara's little daughter is such a cutie

The owner here is very unorganised & doesn’t communicate properly with guests. The wi fi connection was terrible during our stay. Breakfast included is not home made rather a load of random items the owner collects from a local cafe. During our morning of check out he tried rushing us to leave earlier than the stated check out time ‘because he had another booking’ this attitude is totally wrong. The only positive was the comfortable room.

Perfect natural environment, wonderful host family will meet every wish and need. Cottage room is clean, spacious, has fridge and kattle plus free tea & coffee. Bed is comfy, big snd has mosquito net. Bathroom is clean and spacious, too. They serve huge and delicious breakfast and dinner. Very close to Rock Temple and you can climb a hill just above the lodge to meet sunrise. Highly recommended accomodation!

Kamara is the owner and he's very friendly and nice. He came to pick us at the station and offered us a papaya before showing the room. ^^ He's always available and the house tree we were in was clean and beautiful. It has mosquito net on the bed but watch out because there are a lot of insects outside the house. :) We spent 2 beautiful days and we really suggest it!

The rooms are nice and clean. The host is attentive. Looks like the breakfast was not home made. I think it was bought from restaurant. The place is bit far from town. But you cam hire a tuktuk. Don't think to walk in the night to home stay, because it was dark and we felt bit scary. As it is in full nature, you may see animals. You need to take care of yourself. I have seen one onthe way.

We had a great stay at this beautiful place! Where to start... Host: The host family is incredibly friendly, caring and accommodating. The host, Kumara, gave us valuable tips when we arrived and quickly organized a scooter for our tour to Sigiriya and a safari in the Eco Park (which was great to spot Elephants!). Spacial requests and questions were answered immediately and we just felt incredibly welcome at this place. Location: The location is also great for sightseeing and as a starting point for tours and onward travel to Kandy. In the middle of nature with a beautifully maintained garden and very clean and tidy rooms. A bit away from the "centre" of Dambulla (which this is not worth seeing anyway). From the guesthouse you can easily walk to the Rock Cave Temple. The bus to Kandy stops right on the main road nearby (Kumara helps you to catch it :)). If you do need to go to Dambulla center, Kumara quickly organizes a tuk tuk or you can find one on the main street. Meals: It seems there are no (good) restaurants within walking distance, but Dambulla generally has a rather limited selection (we checked it out when we had the scooter). However, on the last evening after returning from the safari, the hostess cooked us a super delicious Rice & Curry for a reasonable price - so you don't need to go out for dinner and can just have it at their place! We were also given free fruit all the time! Breakfast was exceptionally good: a huge assortment of different specialties, fruit, juice, & tea - and all freshly made at the time we wanted. All in all a great experience! Thank you for everything.

Nice place to explore Sigiriya and Dambulla. The treehouse bedroom is very spacious, clean and confortable plus you have the feeling to sleep in the jungle with birds and monkeys sounds. The strong point of Golden Rainbow guesthouse is how helpfull and honest the owner is. He will give you fair prices and arrange everything for you, he wants you to get the best expérience. Also his wife made a very tasty sri lankan dinner and breakfast ! Nothing negative to say about this guesthouse really. Enjoy !

We highly recommend you to stay at Golden Rainbow Guesthouse with Kumar and his family. The place is beautiful and surrounded by nature, Kumar is helping you anytime, the food is amazing (better than restaurant, it's home made cooking) and you are the closest you can be to the temple cave.
