Amazing food, but they will charge tourist for buffet menu 1800, locals have 400-800, we agree with that but they charged us for more dishes and they wanted from us almost 6000 for two lunches. Food was amazing, just pay attention and pay before you start eating.

Definitely the best restuarant to have authentic sri lankan food. They have a wide variety of sri lankan curries . All food items we tried tasted really good. Specially the lake fish curry. Their service was impressive. Staff was really attentive. Place was clean enough with environment friendly serving.

Went to this place by accident and it was the right choice for us. We ordered Kottu (cheese, chicken, veg, seafood) and Fried Rice (chicken, seafood, veg) were all good and the cheese kottu was one of the tastiest. Good surroundings. There is a washroom as well. Recommended for kottu fans 💙

Good real Sri Lankan food. They have also good vegan options. What I didn't like is that they have different prices for tourist, 1500LKR for a plate of rice and vegetable curry. Furthermore, the quantity of rice they gave me was kind of half than the one given to local people. Still 1500LKR is not much for a tourist and the food is good, but just be ready to be treated differently (in a negative way).

Not tourist friendly. They have a separate menu for foreigners with higher prices, which could be fair enough if it wasn’t for the fact that they don’t let you choose the food you want but limit you to either an open buffet or 1-2 plates. So you end up paying double for half the quantity. The food seemed great but can’t review because we left to go to another place…

Some of the best rice & curry I've had in an eatery! Good flavours, clean food and ton of different things to choose from. They have from Lake fish to pork to Biriyani. Service and the staff is excellent as well. And prices are more than fair for the food they have. Overall a good place to eat in Dambulla.

Good food, with reasonable price, middle of the dambulla town, the inside arrangement is totally different from the busy outdoor, nice arrangement, recommend this place for a meal.

Great Sri Lankan taste. Many options available including Chicken, Pork, Beef, Seafood, Lakefish and many authentic Sri Lankan verieties. Food presentation was satisfactory, Staff was friendly and helpful but at rush hour have to wait for a longer times for the food. Service staff not much trained and organised, but can say they are doing an OK job.

It's a great place. Was not crowded at that time. Food is really good affordable and you have many options to choose from. Friendly staff. It's a cute place. The portions are really good. You might not be able to eat a normal Chicken fried rice. I had to confirm again about the portion sizes after ordering. Very affordable.

Agree with the others! FANTASTIC FOOD but there is a „foreigner menu“. A veggie rice & curry is then 1,000 rupees instead of of 600-ish. But still totally worth it. I would come back.

We recently had lunch on our way to colombo. There were a variety of food including rice and curry fried rice kottu and all. Food was tasty. Prices are reasonable too.

We had rice and curry for dinner. Food is tasty but papadam, dried fish was shoggy as they have not taken necessary measures to Keep them fresh and cryspy. The dried fish was mud taste like it hasn't been washed properly. Price was high. For two rice and curry with four curries we paid Rs.1380 which is more than usual. Most importantly, the area designated to wash hand, which is just near the food area, was very unclean with pile of used plates and without any handwash. The area was crowded with botteles,trash and other things. Which instantly made me question weather the food has been made clean. We only see the end product know. Washrooms and toilets are not cleaned enough. The staff should really think of these things

Although their service is terribly slow, the food they provide is great.

One of the very friendly and best places existed in Dambulla over last year. Previous staff was very decent and helpful. But had a few bad experiences with the new staff in recent months, where the bills were calculated wrong, the orders were delayed and some ladies were not patient until we give our order. So I wouldn’t recommend this place for someone anymore. No difference in the food quality over the time and it’s really appreciated.

Best authentic sri lankan food served in a restaurant made to look like a traditional sri lankan house. Service staff are genuine and friendly. Had a dinner, breakfast and a lunch and all three was equally good. That will be THE place for atleast one meal if we pass Dambulla ever again. Hope the quality remain the same.

Our introduction to Sri Lankan cuisine; nice interior and plates. Huge buffet to choose from with a wide variety of curries. Some are quite spicy for the western tongue but still enjoyable. Sink cleanliness could be improved and the pricing was a little unclear, we paid more than our driver had told us.

Good atmosphere. Food is average. No buffet. You need to ask for what you want and they would serve it for you. Considering the eating places in Dambulla this is a pretty good option

A few years ago i had lunch at Sambole restaurant in Dambulla.actually it's was really really amazing.no words.i'm truly happy with that experience.but unfortunately i had a very bad experience today at Sambole restaurant in Dambulla.i went to the restaurant around 11.30am this morning.There were about 4 or 5 employees at that time in restaurant.but no employee responded even though i stayed for a while.after that i ordered rice and curry.They mentioned in the price display that one is RS.500.00.but then they said that one is Rs.650.00.no issues.i paid for them.also i didn't get PAPADAM with rice and curry.as well as staff BEHAVIOUR 0%.this time i'm very disappointed with the experience i got today. Foods Quality 100% 😊 Staff Behaviour 0% 😞 Customers Service 0% 😞 Packing 50% 😒

Foods are awesome so far. Me and my wife enjoyed their foods . Foods are tasty. I suggest that If you can plant a two terminal Hand wash sink near the dining area , it would be a great thing . Thanks and Best of Luck. ❤
