Easily the best hostel in Dambulla. Clean. Good breakfast. What a wonderful host too, he's extremely honest, helpful, and an overall good man. Very chatty and cute son too!

We had a great stay here thanks to the wonderful owner, Atula. Nothing was too much trouble. He answered our many, many questions honestly and helped us arrange tuk tuk journeys, a jeep to Kaudulla park, an onward ride to Trinco and even took us to pick up food locally when we arrived exhausted from Colombo airport. Breakfast was excellent every day and free water and a fridge was available so we could re-hydrate without buying endless water bottles. The rooms were very comfortable. Highly recommended!

We stayed here for two nights during our visit to Dambulla. It’s 30 minutes away from Sigiriya and Pidurangala. One of the best service we got during our trip. The owner is the perfect guy for you if you don’t know what to do/where to go/ how to do. He is rich with information and very kind. He offered us to drop us to the bus station and drive us to the nearest attractions. Definitely should stay if you’re planning to visit Dambulla.

Beautiful gem hidden in the middle of Sri Lanka! It was so nice that we stayed an extra night! The family hosting us was very kind and welcoming. Rooms were very clean. Breakfast was very tasty. If we ever come again we will definitely visit this place again! A 3 person family from Poland and Iceland sends warmest regards.

Best service we got in dambulla, the owner went above and beyond to make us feel at home and helped with everything we needed and more. We are both vegans and the breakfast was beyond satisfying and healthy. Recommended!

Very clean apartment on the edge of town. We could watch some small wild life such as giant squirrels and monkeys from our apartment. Great service by the owner at a very sharp price.

The stay was very nice and the host was very helpful in all demands. At our arrival we got an introduction to the area with an big map, after that he even transported us for free to his recommended places in the town. The kids from the host where also very nice and made every day tea for us, which was a very friendly service! We wish his son a good result in his exam and his daughter a good time in the high school! :-)

Athula and his family were so pleasant and attentive with us. We all had nice chats and he tried to organise everything according our needs and preferences. He contacted a friend (Vijith - Mathisha Jeep Safari) to arrange our trips to Polonnaruwa, Minneriya, Sigiriya and Pidurangala (from Dambulla). The breakfast was delicious, traditional and eith good products. All homemade which is even more valuable. The wifi works perfectly and the room was big, enough for having luggage and still feeling spacious. The bathroom was nice, but I would suggest having a shower screen in order not to split out all water when showering. The price was worthy regarding the quality and I eould repeat this accomodation if I come back to Dambulla in the future. Thanks for everything Athula. Really glad to meet you.

Nice and clean rooms, delicious breakfast, well located and an extemely helpful and especailly honest host. He took us free of charge with his tuck tuck to an ATM, Dambulla Caves and arranged a scooter for a cheap price. You feel very well taken care of!!

Very comfortable, clean and friendly place! Dambulla has bus connections to everywhere and an amazing Buddhist temple, this homestay was perfect to rest comfortably with nice bed and hot shower, and very good breakfast. The owner and family are incredibly nice and helpful in everything we needed. They have their own tuk tuk and can arrange scooter and nice natural park tours. Definitely a place I would recommend ;)

I have never stayed that perfect place. Rooms are amazingly clean..everywhere is shining. Owner family is very hospitable, they are always there and really living for pleasing their guests. They are so lovely and kind. They have super breakfast, super dinner. I really wish them to have always very good business... they really put their heart on it.

The room was spotless and spacious, and the shower was hot. We took the non air-con room accidentally, but the owner was gracious to let us use the air-con for a short period just before sleep, just to cool things down. Breakfast was sumptuous and really a little too much for both of us. Best of all, the owner Athula was incredibly kind and went above and beyond his responsibility as an owner, we felt. Awesome hospitality and most definitely recommended!

Our 6th accommodation in Sri Lanka and the best of all (and the other ones were NOT bad). Nearly perfect location we recommend + everything: room, breakfast, lobby and especially the host himself + super friendly and helpful in any suggestion + super big and clean room + a location to feel like home - maybe the rooms has very thin walls because we could hear other neighbors. But maybe the reason why we heard them is, that they were Russians ;D

Out of all the places we stayed in Sri Lanka this was the most amazing experience of all. The location is nice, very calm and you feel really good with the nature around. Very easy to get to either by foot or 200 LKR from bus station. The room had everything we needed - comfy bed, hot and cold shower, AC and the Wi-Fi router is just outside of the room on the second floor and there’s one downstairs as well. The host took absolutely amazing care of us in helping with our travel around, making arrangements where needed and made the extra mile several times to take us on his tuk tuk around. All the main places you want to visit are in close proximity so it was easy to go everywhere and not miss out on everything that Dambulla and the surrounding cities offer.

The owner was very attentive and friendly, so does his little son that was sometimes also around. The room was very clean and the breakfast was excellent! Highly recommend!

A perfect place in Dambulla. Cozy and clean home with perfect breakfast. Only 13 minutes from the bus station and 5 minutes from Food city(supermarket). Above all, the host is kind enough to help you everything you need. We got so much help that we could not thank him enough. I would never forget the secret sunset point he took for us.
