I always have a good feeling when I come to "the chateau Ryckevelde" .One sees the Castle from the entrance ...and than...if you are lucky you are the lord of the castle himself...maybe there are much more people arround but you don t see them because they are spread between the trees..So you get the "rich feeling" of coming nearer to your Castle...in a few minutes your servants are gonna welcome you and take your had..Your thea will be ready for you to take a sip.. lovely feeling..And you don t pay a dime for it... No be reasonable...You can order some beverages..thea coffee cacao...ice cream..waffles....no you cannot eat and drink it all at the same day...you can look out for another visit.. Of course the environment is green and calming.....Me and my wife we tasted different drinks and desserts...Nowadays there are many desserts and even tapa s...Inside the Castle there is a splendid room .One can eat a simple meal or even stay to eat a whole menu...and hotel rooms are available to take a few days off to enjoy the region..there are walks to do ..to Bruges ( 4 km ) .Damme is a village surrounded by meadows and little rivers...In fact Ryckevelde is situated in Damme... A "Staycation" in Ryckevelde is a marvelous way of living ,"rich ".....

Great place to stay, if you want to be closer to nature. We saw heirs, reindeer's and horses! Dog was astonished:) Apartments are great, everything new and we'll maintained. Closes somewhat early, around 20h the main door is closed, the bar is closed as well so if you are a late eater, you will have to ride a bicycle or a car to somewhere else to have supper. No objections though, the hotel is great.

The perfect place to relax and Cool Down ,clean rooms, nice bath the only disappointing was the Wi-Fi didn't work,

The scent of the wood was great.

Wonderfull setting amidst a forest and on the water. You can follow the bycicle.route which passes by the castle. Good food and definitely not overpriced

Good for a quiet forest walk, didn't see a café close by.
