My parents probably dined at TAS 30 years ago or so. I've never been there and I've been seeing it posted all over social media. People either love it or hate it. I absolutely loved it. From the moment we walked in we were greeted very warmly. Our server, Diane came over a short time later. She introduced herself and said Tina would be helping her take care of us. We got there early and we were told we could order the early dining which we were not aware of. My mother ordered the lobster tails, which were tender and delicious. I ordered the shrimp and turf marsala. Our meals came with dinner rolls, onion soup, choice of salad, we went with the Caesar and dessert. We also ordered cappuccino. Cappuccino was additional. The service was excellent and the food absolutely delicious. 3 Lobster tails were $44 and my meal was $27. The restaurant is clean, beautiful and well maintained. We will definitely be going back.

I absolutely loved my experience here. Jackson was a great host and our server Jim was so friendly and personable. I didn't get the name of our female server but she was fantastic as well. It was my first time visiting here and absolutely everything was delicious. We had the lobster special and steak which were made fresh and perfectly done. Even the bread and salad were fabulous. There's a reason this place has been open for so long and I completely understand why. Next time I visit Florida I'm definitely coming back!

Show me a steakhouse and I’ll show you how to get a great meal without all the meat with feet! Let’s start with my veggie broth French onion soup. Then the grouper! It was char broiled and delicious! Tropical Acres Steakhouse, South Florida's oldest steakhouse, has a rich history from its origins in 1949 to overcoming challenges like fires. The char-broiled technique is used at this spot. Food is cooked in an open pit. It’s become a signature, and the enduring loyalty between the staff and management contributes to its continued success. Service was so fast. Waters constantly filled.

Food and Service was Great. Management NOT-SO much! They asked for a CC in order to " Hold" the party's reservation pretty standard. What occurred next resembles a SCAM. After it was booked, they stated for a large party to only except CASH ?? ,a group of 25 people mostly couples and some with 2 or 3 children. WE agreed to pay cash for the final bill, Alchohol was also included even though only 4 folks had beers, etc. On the evening b4 the party they processed the CC for $500 🤯 Without even a ,ok or agreement to do so. It was to "Hold" the reservation, this after we reduced our party size due to covid to 20 fully vaxed and booted group. It gets weird after we pay $535 for final tab including an $80 ,20% Gratuity added. That was fine the Food service was Very good 👍 (2) staff members for our 20 patrons. Once everyone left and we paid CASH to waitress. The male manager who definitely could use a lesson in manors and customer service was very RUDE , making snarky comments about how credit cards work, etc. He's lucky we weren't outside surfice to say. The food Quality is top notch 👌 we've been going there for 30 YEARS. NEVER had a bad meal. They need to fire the RUDE Guy and Get someone who knows HOW. It will be a long time b4 we go back, maybe that smart guy jerk will no longer be there.... In the day of e-commerce and so many ways to pay. No excuse for this asinine policy.

Always a wonderful experience. Great prime rib, delicious fresh lobster. Service impeccable love how they work in teams. The bread basket has the crispiest little baguettes in there with fresh butter. Overall wonderful experience. Great atmosphere take advantage of the delicious dessert tray or should I say cart. I always look forward to going back. On Monday and Tuesday’s they have discounted bottles of wine Prosecco champagne. 75 years and they are not going anywhere.

Lovely ambiance. The gentleman playing piano was lovely. Arthur and Lauren were very attentive and our food was fresh hot and delicious. My steak was like butter and the peppercorn sauce was amazing. My husband's Italian seafood combo was equally excellent. I recomend this gem to anyone looking for a date night or just great food for a fair price.

Staff is amazing and attentive. You get 2 servers to take care of you the entire time. The food is cooked perfectly to your choice. The flavours are delicious no matter what you get. The dessert is amazing as well. They roll around a trolley so you can see all the variety of the desserts and pick at your leisure. Lastly the bread is to die for.

Just s first class place with great food and service . We had three delicious entrees one shared appetizer then they wheeled the dessert chart to our table and describe everything. We had two delicious pieces of pie and a bottle ofe wine total $190 which was worth every penny. Come, enjoy 😄

Awesome atmosphere. The pianist was a lovely touch. Food was good. Appetizer plate is a must if you want an app. It gives you a nice variety and those stuffed mushrooms are superb. I will say, though, that the steak for 2 was ordered medium rare. It came out beautiful-marbled well. Great cut. However, it continued cooking on the plate and was medium well in the end. If you like a moderate pink center, ask for it to be rare. Always easier to throw it back on the grill if needed. 🥩🤙🏼🌴

Now this is what it's all about! A steakhouse I can go to and still afford my car note. 😁 🦀Crab cakes was a winner! 🐑Lamb chops was absolutely Yummy. 🥩Rib eye was new on the menu and it was good. 1st time they cooked it it was over cooked so before even bringing it out to me the server let me know. 2nd time around it wasn't medium but i didn't want to wait longer as the rest of my party by now was minutes from being done with their dinners. Will we be back? Betcha we will be and sooner than later at that. Anyone know anywhere that does 60 day dry aged rib eyes? 😅

The Dania Beach tour continues tonight. My discovery tonight is the Tropical Acres Steakhouse. Impeccable service (by Joseph & Gabriel) and food equal or superior to one of my favorites Ruth's Chris. The creamed spinach here was the best. I can see now why this place has been here since 1949 and why the lineup is out the door. Highly recommend this place if your travels find you in Dania Beach/Fort Lauderdale.

I’ve been eyeballing this place on google maps ever since I bought event tickets 6 months ago. I’m so glad we were able to make it, it was an amazing first experience. The food was delicious; I tried the petite filet with a lobster tail. They are supposedly the oldest steakhouse in south Florida and actually displayed their first menu from 1949 in the waiting area. Tropical Acres definitely lived up to the hype and I cannot wait to return. Would recommend to everyone.

This was our first visit. The service and atmosphere were great. Likewise the prime rib, salad and sides. However my guests " freshly flown in daily" twin lobster looked beautiful but where a major disappointment. The claws were hollow and there was little lobster meat inside in total. We did mention to server who made light if it, and I did not want to push it and further embarrass my party. Thank you for what you did well though.

Upon searching for a restaurant near the airport Tropical Acres Steakhouse caught my eye and piqued my interest! An old world nostalgic gem tucked away off the beaten path from seaside bistros and waterfront dining! An old style farmhouse transformed into upscale steak and seafood restaurant! We started with signature cocktails, followed by your 2lb. ,lobster special, prime ribs that cut like cake with baked potato & creamed spinach! The rolls and butter were crispy and light! And our server Kate with her staff were at our beck on call! No prisoners for our fridge as we shared and relished on every bite and forkful! A new go to place even when we don’t have to do an airport run! No wonder you’ve been in business for almost 3/4 of a century! You must be doing something right!!👍

I am not a huge steak fan, but my husband is. This is one of the few places I will very happily eat a filet. The meat is high quality, perfectly seasoned and prepared. We had a fantastic dinner tonite, started with the French onion soup, the best locally. The little rolls are awesome. Rich ordered the tomahawk steak and it was beyond words. Huge, cut like butter, so full of flavor. I had quite a few bites, yum!! We've always had excellent service, their staff are real professionals. Arthur (and Laura) were no exception. Personable, helpful, constantly checking in on us. I'm looking forward to going back.

Whenever I’m in FLL for work and staying near the airport, tropical acres is my go to. I’m primarily a carnivore looking for good meat only usually. Tropical Acres was exactly what I was looking for. I showed up early, around 1730 and it was still packed to capacity. Bar was completely full and there was already a line formed in the lobby for seating in the dining room. I was solo, so waited for a regular to head out and sat at the bar. Bartender was a sweet lady named Ann. Very nice, attentive and extremely busy. She did an outstanding job. My order was perfect, medium rare prime rib that hit the spot, 2 lobster tails that were nice and juicy, and the shrimp hit the spot. Was a lot of food and I killed it all. I noticed they had a good happy hour food menu as well. Come out and support your local restaurants and avoid chains. I highly recommend this place.

We just had 172 people for a banquet with carved prime rib, salmon, coconut shrimp, chicken francois, veggie lasagna, parsley potatoes, green beans, bread were fabulous. There was not one complaint. Absolutely wonderful atmosphere, great tasting food and the best service. Thank you, Tropical Acres.

Lovely place that we always visit when we are on the East Coast. Finding the oldest restaurants is a hobby of ours and Tropical Acres does not disappoint. Incredible service every single time. The atmosphere is so cozy; it feels warm and special. It’s quiet enough you can enjoy a relaxed conversation. The food is very good. Even for vegetarians they have options. I had a butternut squash ravioli on my last visit and it was delicious. Thank you for having vegetarian options, it is much appreciated.

My husband and I LOVE coming here! One of our fave date night spots. Top quality steak for an extremely fair price! The bartender Tom is always so friendly and joked around with us. He remembers us every time we come in which makes it even more special. There’s always a pianist which is a beautiful touch. Cannot say enough good things!

Words can't express how great this 1st experience was for me and my wife in our aniversary. Food was perfect, warm ambiance, live piano and fantastic welcoming & farewell etiquet. Every one was so polite and nice it made it so much special. I am so pleased that we are already looking forward to go back. It has become a special place. A+++ food and service, I super recommend it.

Went on Tuesday for the first time because of the lobster special and came back on a Friday for the steaks. Lobster were juicy, sweet and perfectly cooked. We had the special cut fillet mignon and the sirloin with lobsters tails. The steaks were so perfectly cooked and seasoned we needed no added sauce no nothing. The fillet was delicious and the lobster tails perfectly cooked and seasoned as well. The fillet mignon 10oz med rare was the star for us. Every bite was simply perfect.

Every time we come here the food is cooked perfectly, the service is excellent, and we love the piano that plays in the background. This is, in my opinion, one of the best steakhouses I’ve ever been too. I love the food and I always leave happy and satisfied.

Arrived by 4:30 pm and were seated fairly quickly. Things seemed to be a bit chaotic for the first 15 minutes or so. Tables being pushed around, wait staff doing double duty. It took a few minutes for anyone to come over and actually address our table. The meal itself was fine, food was pretty good, filet was cooked well and had good flavor, salad was ok, bread was fresh and very good. Here's the thing - the service was lacking. In most restaurants, especially if you're not a local, the server will talk about the specials and what they recommend, they discuss appetizers and desserts, etc. We received none of that. We were however, offered free, old ice cream cake. Our waiters were polite and professional, but it all felt very rushed and definitely not how a 60+ year old restaurant built its reputation. Not having been to this restaurant in years and visiting for the first time with my family, I expected more of a dining "experience" and thought I would have walked out of there feeling quite nostalgic. Honestly, I could have eaten at Outback and been just as impressed. We like good food, we tip well and when we enjoy a restaurant and feel it meets up to its reputation, we return.

I took my father to Tropical Acres Steakhouse for Father’s Day dinner. When we walked in, the place was running over with people. I’ve heard rave reviews about this restaurant on the news and in the newspapers, so I wasn’t surprised at the large crowd they had, especially for this holiday. However, we made a reservation and the host (which was also the owner) honored our reservation right on time, which we thoroughly appreciated. The restaurant has an antique rustic steakhouse ambience. The waiters are in white long shirts with black bowties like the old-school classic steakhouse. Our waiter was very accommodating, and gave us great suggestions on what we should try. We ordered the crab cake and Caesar salad as appetizers. The crab cake was so moist and filled with so much crab meat. Then we ordered the surf and turf, prime rib, and ribeye for our entrees. This was one of the best boneless ribeyes I’ve ever had! It was so juicy, tender, and flavorful. It comes out on a hot silver plate, which keeps the steak nice and hot while you eat, while not overcooking the steak. The lobster tails were so tender and juicy as well. All in all, we enjoyed Father’s Day dinner at Tropical Acres, and can’t wait to come back.

Upscale dining with dress code enforced. Loved the live piano player and the ambiance of a Florida Fancy restaurant. The french onion soup was big enough to split with a lot of cheese. There are 3 sauces to choose from to go with your dish. My steak definitely needed a sauce but only because I am a rare case of ordering well done :) The dessert tray was my favorite part. Get the chocolate cake!

This is my Preferred Steakhouse Of Choice in South Florida...... Annie and Nick have a cozy atmosphere set up at the bar. They make an OUTSTANDING Manhattan........ The Salad 🥗 is very good when it is chilled properly on its own metal serving bowl.... The steaks are always top notch and at worst cooked close to what was ordered. My French fries 🍟 consistently arrive....Fresh....Hot....&....Crisp. In the two dozen that I have dined here over the past several years......I can honestly say that I have NEVER been served a less than good dinner...... The best dinner 🍽️ ever at Tropical Acres was The Beef Wellington with French Fries and Cream Spinach that is sometimes served up as a Holiday Special.

My husband and son had the filet mignon. Very tender and delicious. I had the prime rib medium rare. Delicious. We all had the French onion soup. Delicious. Service was outstanding. No complaints

The food was fair, the baked potato was baked too early so by 6:30 pm they were stale and old tasting and overcooked. The server brought a sweet potato, which wasn't any better-way overcooked. The manager came by the table and said, "Well, enjoy what you can." The prime rib was swimming in a jus. The salad was turning brown. The lamb chops dry and boring. Stop prepping food so early and the quality would improve. This would have been my first baked potato in over 3 months, I didn't enjoy it at all. Fresh is always better! The meal is definitely not worth the wait or the price.

My Wife & I had our wedding reception here in a private room and everything was amazing! The food was great, the service was awesome and everything turned out beautiful. If you're considering having any kind of wedding reception, birthday party, or get-together here go ahead and make the phone call.

Read many reviews and was hopeful. The food was very bland! Others said it and I agree, you can get a better meal for half the price at Long Horn or Outback. The server we had rushed us and kept telling us he had another table of twenty coming soon. He was certainly rude. I was born & raised in South Florida… figured I should try this landmark restaurant. I would never go back. We grill better steaks in our backyard. I hope this review will help others on the fence.

We came to this restaurant to celebrate a 40th Wedding Anniversary and the couple of the night were very happy with everything. It has this old vintage vibe, I know it's been around since the 50s I think. To me it looks more from 70s/80s. The live Piano music is a very nice touch that not every restaurant has nowadays, I really enjoyed that. Food and service, there's always room for improvement, but mind you, we were 15 people and the restaurant was packed! So I understand why we had like a couple of minor issues. Shout out to the waiters that were super nice and funny... Older people seemed to love and enjoy this place a lot! I'm really happy it has survived all this time, specially even with Covid situation. I hope it keeps that way!

Today we relived our favorite memory, our wedding day! Tropical Acres did not disappoint on the best anniversary dinner we have had to date. 7 years ago we had our reception here and Arthur again today made us feel like family! Cheers to 8years of marriage and tropical acres still being a part of our special day!

Classic Florida spot that feels like stepping back in time in a good way. Tried it out on a Tuesday and they had a live pianist which was great! The restaurant has a very old Florida vibe. Got their special 10 ounce filet along with their bacon wrapped filet. Both were cooked perfectly to temperature and had a good flavor. My husband loved his bacon wrapped filet and the creamed spinach side. We also tried the stuffed mushrooms which were ready quickly but weren’t my favorite part of the meal. The steak and the dessert were the highlights. Loved the lemon berry mascarpone cake! Service was great and there’s plenty of self parking.

The experience and food amazing. We started at the bar for a drink before dinner and ended there for dinner as well. The service from Tommie and Emmie was outstanding. A place we will visit everytime we are over to that coast. Thank you for making it a special Birthday celebration.

Jim was our waiter and he did a fantastic job! The prime rib was phenomenal, the sweet potato was scrumptious and the dark chocolate cake was divine. Tropical Acres lived up to its reviews!

Truly enjoyed the crab cake. A center cut pork chop was perfectly grilled MedRare. The texture of the char and the flavors from the juices blended on my palate. Could be ideal for a special occasion, but made me happy for just a Monday evening meal. ☺️
