Nice clean little park for kids 2-12. Fake grass fall zone. Picnic tables with coverings, adult work out areas and a volleyball net. To me it looks like it was recently redone.

Absolutely beautiful beach, seldom crowded. I snorkel, body surf here and metal detect here.

This is a great beach, with miles of sand to walk! There is pay parking $2.00 per hour and it's not too crowded. The parking money's go toward replacing sand and maintenance of the beach. I found if you can get there just after a leisurely breakfast (9am) stay untill 11, then head out for lunch, everyone is happy. Not too much not to little.

Very peaceful! You can go early and watch people fishing from the coast, Watch the planes prepare to land, collect seashells and relax. Water was warm that day, perfect weather.

It's a nice place. Los of grills and roofed tables + chairs. Simple playground for kids and the beach and parking is super close! Look both ways before crossing the parking lot and keep your kids close. Cars tend to go a little fast.

Out of all the parks I've gone to I love this park most of all it is off the beaten path it is far inland once you go through the pay booth you going a long winding road I believe it has a college and aquatic college that studies sea life within it as well it is a lot of fun watching all the cruise ships come out of the channel you are in between fort Lauderdale and date while you're in this park this used to be called John your Lloyd State Park the name was changed and if you research it you can see why it has a lot of historic value to it the thing I like about this park most of all is that as far as beaches go it is very family oriented it has pavilions where you could have parties it has bathrooms outdoor showers but it does not have the chaotic pace of the normal Miami beaches I would recommend families who have young children who really want to just stay away from the traditional high energy of most of the beaches or who are looking for maybe a particular calmness as opposed to the again high energy of most beaches I would recommend this park anytime any day again it's a five star rating as far as I'm concerned because of all the amenities and the ability to get away from the normal high-rise condos fast-paced beaches that Miami is lined with so take your family and your little ones to this and enjoy an amazing day bring your own food there's barbecues you can use and again it's just a great place you can fish right off the beach or off the stone jetties The Rock jetties

This is my favorite park beach in south Florida as it's so calm, has so many beach entrances, and the pier is beautiful in the day and at night.

Great beach park. Quiet even though it was spring break week. Good parking, short walk, nice sand.

It's a nice little beach. The playground is currently under construction though!

The best beach and I've been too many but this beach feels most like home and fresh and just more secluded and private
