Went here for an early dinner. Ordered the popcorn shrimp and chopped sirloin specials. It was so much food we couldn’t eat it all. It was delicious and hot. Our server was friendly and kept our drinks filled. Got a piece of coconut pineapple cake to go and I would go back just for the cake.

I had the Captain Cook combo and my wife's had the Captain Cook combo broiled. When you order the Captain Cook combo broiled you have the option of having slaw or a side salad. The side salad was huge. The food was very good and our waitress Amanda was the best. Make sure you try one of the desserts that you see when you come into the restaurant.

UPDATE! Hey yall, l ate good hot crispy fish, ocra, and hush puppies with a steamy hot sweet potato and tasty cole slaw too! Even my tea was strong and sweet. This was a dine-in experience with nice TAVIA as our server. Shout out to Tavia and thanks Captain Cook for a good dining experience! 😋 2 stars for the nice person on the phone taking my order and the nice lady who brought out the food to my car. The two piece trout plate looked 👌 but it unsettled my stomach-and yes, l added my own seasonings when l went home.

Best seafood we have had in a long time, service was excellent. The seafood was so fresh you could tell in every bite. Price was awesome for all the food we got on the Captain Cooks platter. Our only complaint was they don't have a restaurant in Richmond were we live!!!

Food and service were outstanding! I ordered the Captain Cook Platter and it could have fed 3 people. Everything was cooked perfectly and hot. Drinks were always full and the food came out quickly! I highly recommend.

This was our first visit to Captain Cook and we were very impressed! There were six members in our dining party and every single order was prepared exactly as we'd specified and the flavors and temperatures were dead-on. Outstanding!! The staff was also very, very busy but they all took the time to help each other on the floor and ensured we were taken care of, too. We appreciated their help and we look forward to another visit when we're back in town.

Food was decent. Price was just right. Waitress was awesome. Johny on the spot. Clean restrooms. Friendly people and staff.

Food was good but Service was slow. Order the food told me 20 minutes took 35. When they came to get me payment took another 10 minutes to come back.

Absolutely disappointing. Price still the same but the small amount of food is unbelievable. Plates usually filled up tonight it was so skimpy. On top of barely having nothing. Everything was soggy… fries greasy and soft on the bottom of the plate…undercooked. Hush puppies cold and undercooked! Jumbo shrimp soft nothing good about any of my meal… safe to say their run is over. Not paying these prices for this mess. OH AND NOW THEY HAVE THIS NASTY HONEY MUSTARD WHAT THE HECK!

The absolute CHUNKIEST CLAM CHOWDER!!!! The Oysters, Shrimp & Scallops were so good. Everything was seasoned to perfection. Glad we ended up here on our road trip.

The food here is always good no matter what you get and service is great! You won't be disappointed!

Wonderful food. Fresh, hot and delicious. Brought out in a very timely manner. Great price, more than enough for 1 person, had to bring part of it home. Waitress was very attentive and friendly, from the moment we sat down til the moment we left. Will definitely be returning in the very near future !

My Aunt and I went on a Wednesday, around 1:15pm for lunch. It was not too crowded and we were seated right away. Our waitress was Savannah and she was very nice and attentive. My Aunt got the popcorn shrimp meal and I got the chicken tenders meal. It was more food than either of us could eat. I also got my Mom an order of crab cakes to go. The food was good and our waitress was excellent!!!

I am from Missouri and MUST come here when I'm in town. Best Seafood. Had the Perch and the Scallops this time

I’m 47 days old today and my husband brought me to Captain Cooks. We have never been inside, but we get carry out. The food is always DELICIOUS, FRESH, & HOT. The service is Always WONDERFUL. Thank you CAPTAIN COOK for a BEAUTIFUL EXPERIENCE.

Great seafood at reasonable prices. Definitely the best in this area. Family had scallops, trout, flounder and oysters. All were prepared just right. First night service was excellent....just so so our second time. Food is good enough to overlook it though....

First time eating here, and I was not disappointed! The food was hot , fresh, delicious, and mouth watering 😋 😍 👌 The service was top notch 💖 a steady stream of customers as we were enjoying our meal, and I now know why! I can't say enough good things about the flounder, chicken tenders, popcorn shrimp, fries, and hushpuppies! My sister can attest to the delicious blooming onion too 😄 Definitely will be back ! ( they also serve Cole slaw with the platters, but I am a fry lover 😉) 5 stars for sure!

This food will surprise you! It is sooo good! I ordered the captains platter. Largest shrimp I've ever seen, and delicious. Prime juicy, plump oysters,. The crab cake was very good. 3 or4 pieces of fried fish that I brought home. Very good quality seafood and well prepared. I loved the round hush puppies.

My husband and I dropped in one Sunday on the way back home from visiting the lake. We've visited several times since then. We have always had great service. The food is always hot and delicious and the people are friendly and welcoming. We love Captain Cooks and are sure you will too.

Owner is hateful! Husband was stopped there to try and arrange his truck to be able to complete his job and just needed a parking lot for 30 mins. and she cussed him and called the police on him!

We eat Captains Cooks every month or two, and the drive about is 45 minutes to get there. They stay busy, but we have never waited more than 2-3 minutes to get seated for a family of 6. The food is awesome and is our new favorite seafood restaurant.

Went to Danville for day trip, drove past the place and noticed the FULL parking lot. Looped back to the place for and early dinner. Some of the best fried shrimp I have ever had, and I have eaten the original at Calabash NC where it all started. Will definitely be back.

Excellent server don't know his name tall dark hair! I had a very long training week new job and he was very attentive 🙂 Haven't gotten my first check but I'll be back hopefully , requesting his area! Why because you never know blessings 😍😉

Excellent waiter! Service was great! Enjoyed my Flounder - just didn't like small bones in it. It was a first time visit & it was highly satisfying. Check it out. I don't think you'll regret it.
