We were pleasantly surprised by how lovely and clean the hotel was. We were met with smiles and enthusiasm upon checking in. The room was smaller than expected but still very nice and very clean and with a nice view. We requested to be moved to the next room as it had a nicer view and they made that happen for us. We made a number of requests on our first night and the hotel met each and every one of them. The food in the restaurant is delicious and breakfast is also very good. They have a complimentary shuttle which is nice and a nice and clean gym. It also has a nice beach but it’s not your typical beachfront property- if you’re expecting to roll out of bed and be able to relax on the beach and swim in the water this isn’t the place. They even warn you that swimming at their beach is at your own risk as there is a lot of coral, sea urchins and jelly fish etc… However, this isn’t something that would discourage me from staying here, it’s a lovely hotel. There’s lots of restaurants and shops nearby that the complimentary shuttle can take you to. We moved into a new room 24 hours after checking in and this is when things started going downhill… there was no hot water and when we we asked for assistance, we were given condescending lectures about how to work a faucet, 48 hours went by and still no hot water… I would also highly recommend that further training be given in regards to professionalism and guest service, as a few of the staff were extremely disrespectful to us on a number of occasions and even overly familiar- but perhaps this is because we are African women. This shouldn’t be the case as we are paying guests and should be afforded the same respect and professionalism as any guest staying at the hotel. It’s a nice a hotel but guest relations could definitely be improved on. It should be noted that Maureen, Lulu and Said are very nice, and should we recognized for their professionalism and excellent guest service. We are here for 3 more days so let’s see how it goes…

It was too much sun and hot, the available shade couldn't help us a lot, there were fan but was also not helpful. Cocktail was nice though was not strong enough, at some point we wanted ice cubes and was not easy to get them. I loved the Ambiance and the location too, it was not crowded around 03:00 to 05:00 Saturday. Would recommend to visit after or during sun set.

Absolutely loved my stay here, albeit it was very short. The front desk staff were friendly and welcoming. The bell hops and luggage attendants were helpful, smiling and accommodating. The people were so hospitable. It is obvious that they take great pride in their work. My room was wide, spacious and clean. I was able to control the temperature and I had a walkout balcony. The room also had complimentary water, tea and coffee. The only thing I would add would be to have personal care items on hand for women. When traveling, you may need essentials unexpectedly.

I’ve been to coral beach a few times; always an amazing experience. From the service; the staff are very kind and welcoming, always keen to what you order and always ready to serve you. To the ambience, I’m a big fan of the ocean and a sucker for views so this is definitely a place for me. The sunsets here are amazing, I wouldn’t mind staying there for the whole day just to catch the amazing sunsets. To the food, the food is just as great especially their amazing buffet on Sundays: “Flavours of Africa” which goes for 65k tsh per person, as you can tell from the name, it’s basically different foods from Africa, I enjoyed the chicken and skewers the most, they were mouth watering ! If you see this review, then this is your sign to try out their buffet on Sundays, with your loved ones or in general during any other day of the week for their amazing and affordable food as well as the stunning views and serene scenes.

Incredibly comfortable beds. Luckily I had a double to myself as the beds are not very long so I slept diagonally (I'm 5'10"). Decent sized rooms, bathrooms, and balcony. There is AC. The breakfast costs extra at $14 per day. The breakfast staff are very attentive, and got me soya milk from my second day onwards. You need to be specific about what you want! They do vegan pancakes, porridge, avocado toast, nice cereal, fruits, coffee, and the fresh coconuts were a big highlight. Nice pool and beach area. The main negative was that you could only refill your water bottle at breakfast, otherwise you had to use the plastic water bottles provided in the room or buy plastic. For all hotels but especially ocean-front hotels, eliminating plastic waste should be a priority, so I was disappointed in this oversight. It would be relatively easy to have glass water carafes in the rooms and water filters where guests can refill their own bottles. This is why they lose one star. Otherwise a great stay.

Our stay at Coral Beach with a group of 19 people was an absolutely fantastic experience! From the moment we arrived, the staff, especially Magdalena and Dharini, at the hotel greeted us with warm smiles and impeccable hospitality. Their friendliness and willingness to assist with anything we needed made us feel right at home. The location of the hotel is truly exceptional. The sunset stunning views added an extra layer of tranquility to our stay. I must say the combination of friendly staff, excellent location, and overall comfort made it an unforgettable experience for our group. Thank you to Team Coral Beach!! We will definitely be back!

Good place with nice rooms and great view. Service was not as expected people were slow on getting back to our requests. If they work on that it's a great place with amazing view of sea

We stayed in the Suite for 2 nights. Room nice and clean, amazing bed, breathtaking view. The hotel is beautiful and super super clean, it’s a pleasure to stay here. Breakfast is nice with a lot of choices, and good coffee. The personal is super friendly and welcoming, the swimming pool guy was super nice. We arrived earlier and without baggage cause the airport lost our stuff and the desk personnal was super helpful and let us use the phone. Thank you for this guys! I will definitely recommend this place, and if I have the chance to come back, I will for sure. Thank you for the great time!

Terrific Location and good service however rooms do barely deserve 3 stars. Breakfast has a decent spread however they need to change the dishes. Only one counter had dishes being different daily. Rest was all same. Have a lovely deck and garden to unwind by the sea.

I visited the one of the restaurants at Coral Beach I got pizza and a milkshake.. the milkshake stole the show.. so so good The pizza was very heavy(in a good way) they filled it up and with a thin crispy crust. I would have just liked more flavor to the pizza as it was a bit on the bland side The service was okay, would be nice if a little more effort was added though. The place itself is beautiful! The food is on the pricier side with most dishes on the 30s to 40s and very few on the 20s.

The hotel is in a quiet, exclusive location with malls and restaurants nearby. I was stay in the hotel for a week. The room was big, clean and nice. The deco and layout of the room was a little out of date. Some of the equipment are starting to wear. There are a variety of seating areas outside the accommodations. The WiFi was poor at times. All the staff are friendly, helpful and polite making stay really enjoyable. Breakfast buffet was good but didn't have a lot of variety. Espresso coffee was good also. The restaurant is at a fantastic location with nice view at the ocean, food is good but could be better. The service at the restaurant wasn't great, the length of waiting for food service was extremely long. Beers wasn't cold enough.

Usually, I don't give a bad rating. I just look the other way and forget about it. But this one was unique. Last time we went there four months ago it took us a bit of time to get service. However, this time I went to have dinner and watch the sunset but stayed over an hour without a waiter coming to my table. I left without being served which forced me to look for an alternative dinner place. The sunsets there are always divine though.

The staff are very professional, very friendly and nice. Said in particular. My experience was short but I would still recommend anyone, especially residents since other hotel undervalue residents. But Coral is different. Looking forward to stay there soon as I get back in town.

Perfect hotel with hospitable staff. Hotel is well situated along the beach with modern facilities. A perfectplace to unwind and enjoy your holiday. The rooms are well air-conditioned with wi-fi. Clean rooms and staff is available to help anytime. The hotel is located 30 minutes drive from the airport and because of the traffic, ensure you leave early if you have to catch your flight on time. Regarding the staff, the supervisors know their work so are the waiters. I loved the services of waiter called (John) who served us during breakfast time and (Alphonce) who served us during dinner time. Their services are exceptional and their personality is a top-notch. Thank you for your services and thank you Coral Beach Hotel for hosting me. You were so good to me and I hope one day I will be back again. Thank you.

Great lunch venue, good service and a nice sea view if you have a sea facing room. The down side is their conference facilities. The tented rooms are old and don’t appeal to the eye. The food is good and i recommend the sea front restaurant in the afternoon

Amazing customer service. Our waiter Robert was amazing, very professional and polite. We enjoyed our food, drinks and the live band played on our Christmas eve.

Amazing view, right in front of the sea. The staff is very kind and the food is international but there’s also a choice of typical Tanzanian and also vegan dishes. Very nice experience! The cocktails were good, not very alcoholic!

We had to book this hotel aften being a victim of fraud via another hotel Eddie's Residence in Dar. We didn't have high hopes but was pleasantly suprised. We booked two king rooms and received a free upgrade. The facilities are great and although we have not eaten at the hotel, my family used the pool and we have walked the grounds. The rooms and property is well maintained and I would happily come back to this hotel the next time we visit Dar.

Spent 7 nights at this lovely hotel. Perfect ocean view from the room and waterside deck. Enjoy the evening time sitting at the deck, watch sunset and feel the breeze from ocean. Staffs are friendly and very helpful. Seif always remembered that I need to refilled my water bottle at breakfast. Definitely will come back.

Coral Beach Hotel is the most exhilarating hotel stay I have ever experienced. From the charming views to the luscious and delicious meals and beverages, I had an unforgettable and relaxing stay. The staff were very friendly and tended to my every need making me completely feel at home. The room was very impressive and was extremely comfortable. I loved the stay here, I find it very peaceful and the rooms are cozy, staff are friendly esp grayson, lulu, salma, xaiver, alex, and Justin. Very welcoming smiling. Even the guards are very helpful. This place makes people feel more comfortable and gives a sense of peace. The cool ocean blue walk, the beaches are clean.

Went on a Thursday night. Took ages for the food to arrive, even the starter. Ordered the steak which was exorbitantly priced, considering that it was a small portion of meat, dry and without any flavor... The pasta had little strips of chicken meagerly served with the pasta. Unacceptable for a 25000 dish. The juice was not even nice either. At the end of the meal it took a very long time indeed just to bring the bill! And even longer to get back the change, until I got fed up and just left. I felt very ripped off and disappointed. Needless to say I won't be going for dinner there again. Only nice thing was the sea view, and my company.

By now, I can say this is my second home. I always love to eat here. Its my favorite place to hangout with my friends and family. Plus the view of the ocean, tops it :) Most importantly the drinks and food on their menu tasted really great. thank you so much for your service.

Quite liked the refreshed food tastes as well as more comfortable portion sizes. Earlier the beach side restaurant used to be pretty much only for finger foods : atleast the portion sizes were indicative of such positioning. Enjoyed the lunch today with a fair mix of Continental, Asian and Indian dishes : all of which were prepared adequately and was palatable by adults as well as kids alike.

Decent hotel in Masaki, Msasani Peninsula Dar es alarm. The room came with a large working desk facing the ocean. It was a standard room and believe all Deluxe rooms have the same.

Great location, style and ambience. However, maintenance clearly lacks. Great food and warm and friendly staff. Small steps should be taken to be a great hotel. For example see roof top picture below suite 2105 .... Tv remote (did not work) and programming one sided with very poor sound. Shower doors hardly open and scratch the floor Tiles of poor quality, damaged and should be replaced completely. The outdoor seaside restaurant sets you on holiday mode, shady, slight back ground music set's the stage for an exclusive dining experience. Overall, with small improvement made - a hotel to book and enjoy.

This hotel is not just a hotel for me. Many years back it was a home away from home for my hubby and I. The garden had a swing where we used to spend some few hours infrojt of the nice sea. Currently also the hotel ambience is really nice and soothing for the mind. The coffee is really nice. Nice view and very nice interior and service from staff too. The garden area is very relaxing 100/100

Nice hotel situated in a peaceful area on the north shore of Masaki. The staff is really nice and friendly. Food is good. It had been reformed over time and the restaurant has been improved a lot. They have also opened a shisha lounge. Nice place to spend an afternoon with friends while having something to eat and drink and to watch the sunset. It has also space for business meetings. In general the rooms are nice and clean

The place was generally underwhelming. We did half board, but there's a spend limit. Who does that? They should just do away with the half board and offer a la carte instead. They could do better with their breakfast. Wasn't worth it all! Despite the fact that we were two in a room, they placed towels for one, and we had to request an extra towel all the time. They could find better ways to deal with mosquitoes other than asking guests to leave the room so they spray it in the evening. One very small pool shared by both kids & adults, didn’t like the location of the pool - next to the breakfast restaurant. It's located in a cool neighbourhood. Loved their ceasar salad and their live bands on one of the evenings. Their male staff were friendlier and welcoming, compared to the female ones. Their sea view is a scam though😀

Oooooh the food is amazing. We were served by ERNEST, such an amazing waiter. He was patient, making us laugh and attentive. He even calmed my fussy toddler. We got our food in under 20 minutes and it was amazing. The potions are huge and TASTY. Definitely going back and of course ,I will ask for ERNEST again.

We visited Dons Hookah Lounge and the sheesha was great with amazing service by Fizan. We come there all the time for the sheesha. Unfortunately we were dissatisfied with the bar services from Coral Beach. They close the bar area too early and we can’t even get water whilst smoking sheesha past 10.30 pm.

Visited the restaurant for lunch and drinks. Thw hotel itself is very beautiful and the service is great. had a seat on the sand with the beautiful view stretched out. Prices are average for Hotel prices. Food was good, and quick. All and all, everything was good.

What a location, a panorama and sunsets photos cannot do justice to. Service is satifactory as long as you prepared to wait an extraordinary long time for food off the menu. 1hr30 the first time and 1hr50 the second
