Professional Guides I would say that the lady leading the guide group at this office is professional and well informed on forest reserves around the Dar. We had a very educative Pugu Hills hike woth my colleague to commemorate the new year and much appreciation goes to @puguhillsecoculturaltourism who have been awesome in guiding us through the reserve and educating the masses on how important the forest reserve is to the city as busy as Dar-es-Salaam. Hence I would urge everyone to support this local eco-tourism group by ensuring that you take their arranged guided tours, not only are you providing employment to the local guides but also, the fees paid to the government goes towards the conservation and protecting the forest through @tanzania_forest. PUGU HILLS FOREST RESERVE, is a peaceful place, get out of the noise and chaos of the city and tranquilize yourself with fresh air, beautiful views, birds singing as you tackle some challenging hikes.

One of the finest resident operator in Pugu in terms of services and knowledge. There are only two tour operators who can give you the real experience of Pugu amd this one is the best of all.

The team at PHECT has been wonderful to work with from organizing my trip to visiting the hills on top. Specifically, Rashid the guide was very knowledgeable, patient, and a big help along the way to the top of the hills. This was my first hiking in Dar and it's safe to say Rashid made it easy for me to do it. Pugu hills offers a rare chance to look into the past into Dar's history and see why the Germans chose this as their military outpost. You will also get a chance to visit some caves used by the Makonde tribe for their rituals to this day. I highly recommend this trip for anyone wanting to escape Dar city's hustles and bustles and to unwind over the weekend while still over the vicinity's of Dar es Salaam city.
