Everything was just magnificent. The food was great. The service was for the kings. The views are amazing. If there's one place in Dar es Salaam where I would just love to spend the night at, it's blackwood.

It's so good...town center and near ferry

The perfect place to stay in Dar! I was solo traveling in August and I found this place amazing: the facilities (like pool or restaurant) are clean and modern; and my room was very comfy, with a super big bed. If I'm going back to Dar, I wish I could repeat and I recommend you to do the same :)

Our group had to pivot on a flight change, and I was able to get 5 rooms + a 2BR Apt in order to accommodate all 12 of us on very short notice. Not only that but the hotel arranged a private airport transfer and a dinner for the 12 of us. The food was delicious, the service outstanding, and the property beautiful. As far as I can tell this is as close to the airport as you can get and be in a comfortable place. Please note it does take about 45 minutes from the Dar airport, but that is nothing compared to the traffic of going all the way downtown or to the beach areas.

In simple words, it's truly a hidden gemstone!!! The hotel is exquisite, excellent customer service who are very friendly. The place to be, I'd recommend to everyone who needs peace of mind, luxury, exclusivity, escape, and more value for money. I'm a witness of leaving my accommodation from a name brand hotel (Dar wise) to this exceptionally beautifully space without any regret. I'd prefer this hotel in comparison to many other high end hotel brands which I have stayed before. Diaspora and foreigner’s, you certainly need to try this. I like what they have done with the space they have, personally as an avid well world traveler - gold stars all the way!!! I wouldn't be grateful if I didn't mention my awesome experience delivered by Grace and another staff who I can’t remember his exact name . 5* cleanliness, friendly staff, amenities, home feel, peace of mind and etc. See you on my next visit TZ

Really lovely boutique hotel and apartment building, you can tell that the decor and detailing was very deliberate. My only challenge was that the restaurant wasn’t too active and seemed to have only one person managing, so certain orders took some time. Other than that the customer service was also lovely. Well worth an apartment stay if you’re in town for a few nights.

A very beautiful and positive place to be when you're in Dar for business purposes. Very nice staff and ready to help on call. You should visit this place too. The food too is very nice.

Beautiful international standard hotel...excellent design and fittings ..in the middle of middle income suburb...like an oasis in the desert...a welcome development for the community...I'm sure will lift the property prices around the area..
