We stopped into Rory’s for dinner and were immediately surprised how much larger this cozy restaurant and bar feels once inside. The bar is well appointed with mainly maritime themed decor and has a warm and friendly feel. The dining section seats about 32-36 hungry patrons. We had to choose from several intriguing menu options plus the nightly specials. The grilled fish was as beautiful as it was tasty! The pastry filled with seasoned ground beef had a subtle spiced influence of middle eastern origin. The broth seemed a bit light for dipping the flavorful pastry, but altogether a rewarding choice. The dessert 🍨 list included many favorites and the daily specials included profiteroles... yummy too! our server, Layli, was warm, friendly & managed to keep the plates spinning quite well! We’ll be back to explore what they offer here at Rory’s!

Went on a recommendation since I live down the street. Can’t believe I haven’t been here before. Great food, great value, really well made. Staff super to interact with!

Great local spot - the atmosphere and food will not disappoint! Hard to come by a “real” place like this in the area…

The dining room could use a makeover. Not very comfortable or inviting. The waitresses need a dress code. Tank tops and leggings are very unprofessional and no one needs to see sweaty armpits reaching over the table. The food was ok but the turkey sandwich was a miss. Warm stuffing coupled with cold turkey coupled with a slab of canned cranberry sauce just didn’t hit the spot.

First started with draft beer it was warm and unpleasant, we started with the chilli and the “famous” lobster bisque both were very unpleasant neither had any flavor at all very plain. The service was just as disappointing I would not recommend Rory’s at all we never even made it to the main course

Just got in from a wonderful, stress free evening. We dined with our two small boys and we’re a bit nervous about it. Rory’s was excellent, they made a great recommendation for an app, and brought out the broccoli before the French fries…which is a real win. We already ate our veggies and I could let them indulge a bit on some crispy fries afterwards. They were accommodating with two kids and anticipated our needs! Food was fresh and beer was cold. It was a delightful atmosphere and I feel refreshed going into the work week. Will definitely be back, cheers!

The Apple crisp was soggy not warm or crisp underneath and not cooked with 1 scoop of ice cream on top . We asked the waiter to take it away because it wasn't any good. He hands the check charging 2 coffee and 1 Apple Crisp my husband said to the waiter to take off the desert, comes back says you ate some comes back says we will now charge you half. The other waitress told the waiter to still charge us for what exactly. We have been coming to your restaurant for 15. + years and never experienced this kind of service before. We are very disappointed on how this was handled. We were not asked if we wanted something else instead. This was on Father's Day not a Happy Father's Day! My Husband and I don't want to come back to Rory,s again the.customer service by the waiter and waitress were not even a 1 🌟 😥. By the way I never reviews.

Went here on a casual date during the week and really enjoyed it! Very homey feel and super small dining room, only 12-15 tables (additional patio seating in good weather). Super friendly staff and excellent food! The steak was as good as (if not better than) one from a top notch steakhouse, just a shame it was only on the specials and not a regular menu item. We also tried the lobster bisque based on other’s recommendations but we didn’t love it like we hoped to. Maybe just a matter of preference but we thought it was too tomato-y. Lobster was cooked well tho, not chewy. Really enjoyed our dinner/visit and look forward to going back for another meal!

Great place, friendly and relaxing place for having a drink along with delicious food. They are known for homemade soups, salads, and great sandwiches. Always good for lunch, afternoon snack; and for dinner. We enjoyed their Fish & Chips.

Solid 5 star dining! Lovely little diner style building, very affordable and a great selection of food, awesome staff. Highly reccomended and I will absolutely eat there again. We came in with a large group and they managed to accommodate us at short notice.

The chowder was oversalted and the chili was like warm and flavorless. The onion rings and sweet potato fries were great.

Cute little Irish Tavern with AWESOME Live Music whenever we go. Good food, good portions and reasonably priced. Good beer too!!! We keep going back whenever we go to the Darien Salt Caves!

Best restaurant with the best bar anywhere. Feels like home and the food is amazing although they give you too much for, but it is amazing. If you are a Clam Chowder lover, which I am, there are only two places on the east coast even close to as good as Donahue's Chowder and both are in Maine. Try it, you will never want anyone else's chowder again!

We love this place. The staff is great - friendly, attentive and everything our party of 4 ordered was delicious, best in class: lobster ravioli, clam chowder, Buffalo wings, popcorn shrimp, and Debbie's chicken. We all shared apple crisp for dessert. The presentation was impressive and it tasted great. We'll be back!

It's small and crowded but you can't beat the clam chowder - best I've ever had! It doesn't hurt that they serve it with a side of sherry :). We also had an order of the queso and chips which was a delicious.

The best comfort food in Darien. I love their lobster bisque, French onion soup, and clam chowder. So satisfying and OMG delicious. They also have the best burger in town. I order mine medium rare with LTO catsup and mustard. And switch out the fries for a side salad with honey mustard dressing. There is also a cozy bar. Slip in on a wintry New England day and enjoy a hot cup of soup and a cocktail.

food was good bartender not so much had to ask her several times to order she was more interested in speaking to customers next to us about personal issues it's a small bar not hard to cover to 10 chairs in timely manner

Friendly staff. Good food. Little hard to find limited parking but once you get inside, it's well worth it. The Meggin is really good. As is the ham & brie. Homemade Apple crisp is excellent. Would certainly eat there again if in the area.

We were on our way back from NYC and I Googled restaurants and Rory's came up. We were REALLY glad it did. We sat outside in glorious weather, super relaxed atmosphere and the food was SUPERB! I've dreamed about that lemon butter sauce on the chicken since eating there.
