This is one of the nicest place to stay. We were at room no 703. We could get nice view of Kanchanjangha from our bed. Just at the backside of Glenary. Could hear live songs of Glenary. The food of sonar bangla is very tasty and less spicy. The staffs are very very cordial. Toilets and rooms are very clean and modern. Room service is perfect. I would visit Sonar Bangla again.

Stayed in the hotel with my family. Very good location as the hotel is very close to the Mall. Room was was very clean. Good ambience. Hotel staff were friendly. Magnificent view of Kanchenjungha from the hotel. Wish to visit again when I get to Darjeeling.

Stay was excellent.....and the location is superb just near to the mall road. Excellent service from the front staff, housekeeping and from the f&b staff. Food is excellent and the food price is also very fair and best part is that I got a magnificent view of the mountain kunchenjunga from my room

The hotel is under Hotel Sonar Bangla chain. Location is awesome. Just walking 4 minutes from mall. Food quality is awesome. All kind of Bengali food is available. Room service is excellent. Also budget friendly hotel. Reception service also wonderful. All staff behaviour are polite & helpful. Great experience for me.

We stayed in the 4 beded room. Location of the hotel is good. Both Keventer's and Glenary's are very near. It takes almost 5-7 minutes to reach the mall. Staffs are very cordial. Service is very good. But some rooms do not get adequate sunlight and air which makes a bit damp.

It's a perfect hotel for those who want to stay near Mall road darjeeling. Great location just behind glenary's. Mall road near about 5 mins walking distance from hotel. We stay there in super deluxe room for two days. Room is very good all types of basic amenities are there. Bed side desk tea maker chairs are there in room. In bathroom geyser is there. Shaving kit dental kit is also there. We stay there in 505 room from the room you can't see kanchanjhanga but from the common balcony you can see kanchanjhanga in a clear day. Food quality is awesome we had dinner and breakfast there. All types of Bengali foods are available and quality and taste is very good. Staffs are very cooperative and helpful. Whenever I called them they responded very fast. All in one hotel sonar bangla is a very good hotel for those who want to stay in darjeeling and moreover who want to access mall road.

Exceptional & memorable stay. Room was spacious, neat & clean. Delicious & tasty food. Very near to mall road(just 5 mins walk). Lift won’t be there. But it’s not a big issue. Overall worth every penny spent.

I stayed on November 16 to 18,2023 there. The location is very near to the mall road and just back side of the Glenary's. The rooms are very well equipped with modern amenities. Pure Bengali food with delicious taste is available here. Behaviour of all the hotel staffs are very polite and sincere. Specially Sri Ramesh is very helpful and responsible.

Hotel Sonar Bangla provides cozy, luxury and affordable stay with nice in house restaurant. This place having walking distance 5mins from Mall Road. Overall nice place to enjoy vacation with family and friends

Pros: - Location is good. Just behind Glenary's, not too far from the mall - Rooms are clean, beds are cozy, good washrooms with geysers - Service is excellent. Whatever we requested was served immediately - Food is OK, unless you are looking for some exotic food Cons: - All rooms do not have a good views, so choose the rooms wisely - No lift - The BIGGEST disadvantage of the hotel is that there is ZERO parking space. It is very difficult to get down & board the cab in front of the hotel. The road is narrow with heavy traffic & there is always a police officer lurking around to fine the cab drivers. Our cab was fined on multiple occasions, which considerably delayed our trips. The Hotel authorities should urgently look into this aspect (for example, arrange a parking lot nearby & help the guests to get down/board from there)

Its very nice place to stay. Recently I have stayed for 2 days and it felt like a home. The food was awesome like a home food.

We had a wonderful stay .The Manager,the front office executives including all staff members were very helpful except for their housekeeper Madhu who was extremely rude even refused any kind of service asked for.

Myself and my husband stayed in this hotel from16 10 2022 to 20 10 2022..Very much excellent experience and the staff and all the managers are very helpful and the atmosphere is just like home..Food quality is experience.

It's a cosy place to be in Darjeeling. Views of Kanchenjungha from some rooms. All necessary amenities available. Clean and hygienic. The building is a little old. Location is it's USP.

The room we booked was the deluxe 4 seater.which as per the photos on goibibo was mountain view facing. However it turned out to be road facing. The room was extremely cramped with an overall lack of ventilation. With only one bathroom for 4 people. We asked to change but they never complied. We visited in April 2022. Otherwise food was not bad, the service staff were pretty good.

Darjeeling means tourism & hotels are an integral part of tourism. Situated near Mal, this hotel provides more or less neat & clean rooms & good service. Wifi is available, however it doesn't work half of the time. The hotel provides complementary free breakfast which is okayish. Washrooms were up to standard. It's recommended if you want to spend a nice holiday or vacation at the center of the town, especially because iconic food junctions are very near to this place.
