We had booking for three days in this hotel. There is no single thing which you can say a good experience. From service to staff communication everything was bad. Rooms were not properly maintained. When we reached the hotel, all rooms werw in a very dirty position. No well maintained furniture. All rooms were very stinky. Flooring was very dusty and bad maintained with lots of dirty area. Furniture and bed sheets was very old. No water bottle. No basic complimentary things were available in room and in washrooms. Washrooms were in a very bad condition. Very old and dirty commode. No proper water flow, no hot water facility. When we request for water bottle they provided us the bottles which were not sealed. Apart from all these thing food service was also not good. I will not recommend anyone to go there and spoil their tour

If we define our experience in one word with Central Heritage Hotel - it was "HORRIBLE". Only one good point about this hotel is, its location, which is walking distance from the Mall. Rest all the things are terrible. Receptionist are very rude, who doesn't know anything about hospitality industry or how to talk to the customer. Rooms are pathetic. Built is old, which is fine; but you will find broken washbasin, toilet seat and broken hangers. Towels are really dirty which you won't like to use at all. In rooms, locks are not working properly. Service is slow but that is fine. Food is again something avoidable. The breakfast spread is very small, and food is without any taste or sometimes it not cooked. In breakfast area rather than focusing on the guest, staff is singing songs and walking. The overall experience looks like some cheap lodge.

The worst! Not worth it. Received the poorest service. 1910's Hotel that you can observe. No renovation. Towels were dirty, covers of the blankets were torn, bad smells were there in rooms and corridors. There's no views from the 1st floor. So, overall it was the worst experience we ever had. Don't book this hotel at least by seeing pictures.

Please pay attention!! After observing the photos provided by the hotel on internet, I really thought that it would gonna be really a pleasant stay but unfortunately I was wrong , very wrong. The rooms were so bad , can't even imagine. Never had a stay in such a third class place. The rooms were really like hundred years old haunted room. Old furniture, dusty beds and floor, cheap drawers. The management was so poor that they were not even clearing the dirty plates kept after the room. No one was picking up the calls . The food was horrible . I ordered something and got something. Even the breakfast was not justified with the price. When we were checking out , a Chaos got created , the customers started fighting with the manager and that also on a valid stagpoint. They are considering there customers merely animals. Please it's my kind request to not to stay here even at cheaper rates. Your experience would be horrifying and dirty. Please don't ignore this and message

I'd say that it is overpriced. It offers a historical value since it was one among the five hotels established by the British around 1905. The standard room is very bad. The deluxe is fine and club rooms are good. We had to upgrade to club rooms as standard rooms are awful. The fish aquarium was stinking. However the staff changed their water once I pointed it out. You should go there if you are a history buff, otherwise I think modern hotels would offer better services at similar or lower price. The free breakfast offered was pretty oily.

"Worst hotel in Darjeeling" We stayed at this hotel from 17th-20th June 2022. 1)No water, No power back-up, No network, stinky rooms, very old dirty furniture with third class food. Name any facility and you will get answer as "NO". 2)The washrooms were in a very bad condition. After taking a shower the water spills all over the floor in the entire bathroom as there was no separation between the shower area and rest. And there was no floor mat which made it worse. 3)There was not proper water supply, geysers weren't working in washrooms. 4) The pictures they have shown of their hotel are all fake. On visiting we realized the location of Hotel was very isolated and the area around hotel is extremely dirty and the hotel itself has very unhygienic rooms and washrooms. It looks more of like a haunted place. They even don't know how to treat their guests. This hotel is not worth your time and money. Please never ever book this hotel. 5) Staff service was very poor. On ordering any food item, it was either not coming or coming very late. Out of 50 items in the food menu we could get only 10 items . 6) There was already construction going on in the hotel so the rooms should not have been allocated at that side due to noise and dust issues. 7) Housekeeping was extremely pathetic. Our rooms were very dirty. Even there was no room service. We didn't get even the basic water bottles in our rooms.

They said upgraded our room and gave a dusty room, the room are on the opposite side of the building in the photo. And there is some renovation work happening now. They work till night 11 with the guests in same building. The double bed contains two separate mattresses with high suspension so you can't use if you have children. And the bed warmer is of single bed size spread on both, so it won't warm you fully.

The Hotel has its own Vintage charm. Here, VINTAGE refers to the old and outdated facilities provided to the guests. To begin with, as soon as you try to enter the room, the door lock was completely out of order. It took around 2 minutes everytime to open to lock. After entering the room one will surely bang his head after seeing the bathroom. Housekeeping will be provided only after 1pm. Till then try to adjust with whatever the situation is. There were multiple charging points, out of which all were out of order. Finally got one point after removing the television plug. It really gave a vintage feel which will surely remind you of the lantern era. The food was undercooked and tasteless. Breakfast spread is very small. The parking area is too small with a very bad entrance. Bring your personal vehicle at your own risk. To summarise it, I would say that the hotel is very highly overpriced. You will get the similar facilities at a cheaper lodge. I don't want to miss the fact that the staffs were good. There are many better Hotels nearby. Try avoiding this one.

Well my overall experience with them was just perfect. The location of the hotel was really good. Mall road from here was just a 5 minute walk. Room price: Our room was 3000/- per day + taxes. The rooms were well maintained and clean. They have 2 separate buildings. One of them is the restaurant, bar and waiting area with hotel reception. The other building is with the rooms. They also serve welcome tea β˜•. All the staff were well behaved and courteous. They also allow unmarried couples with proper I'd proof.

A beautiful place to stay in Darjeeling. Extremely well located... Keventers & Glenary's are just a 2 min walk away. The Mall road is just above the hotel. The best part is the view from the rooms, which are breathtaking and mesmerizing... especially the one I stayed in, the Superior Room (206) in their Annex Building, which is just opposite to their main heritage building. What made it more special is their team... right from the Manager to their entire staff always had a warm smile and did not hesitate to help to keep my stay comfortable. Would definitely stay here for all my future visits.

Here is what you need to know the resort Location: The location is top notch. Just meters away from Mall Road, clock tower, top restaurants Rooms and Services: Now, we booked a superior room which was one of the best they had. The room was spacious and big but I don’t know what different it had from other rooms as there was nothing special in the room. There was a French window which opened at the road just outside the hotel, may be they considered that as a view. The services were just fine. We had to call and remind them multiple times to bring us what we wanted and the waiting time was irritating Parking: Very few of the places in Darjeeling has a parking and this has some space so if you are traveling by your own vehicle, then this resort is a good choice Tariff and Rates: I felt it was overpriced and there was nothing special from the other hotels that I have been in Darjeeling. Summing up: It’s not a bad choice, if you are getting a good deal, go for it else you can still explore others

We stayed in the Hotel from 3 July 2023 to 5 July 2023. Stay was good. Room was very neat and clean. Room service was very good. Best thing is the location as being on MallRoad you can enjoy anytime. Restaurant staff especially ladies need to be more friendly and welcoming and need to adopt service with a smile. Overall a decent stay.

I’ve been to Darjeeling many times and this resort has been the best pick Pros: 1.Mall is just a stone throw away. It shows 5mins on map but takes 2 mins via a shortcut 2. Managers and staffs are extremely helpful. We were upgraded to a higher category room at the same cost for better comfort. 3. I was unwell, they provided heater immediately and also offered extra blankets 4. Food quality is very good, even better than outside restaurants. Their cheese sandwich and tea is a must try! 5. Breathtaking views from the seating area 6. I’m usually very fussy about hygiene while choosing accommodations, this resort is perfect in this aspect as well. Bed linens, towels, rooms, washrooms etc are neat and clean. 7. Room service is very prompt 8. Resort is accessible by cab, convenient for elders and children Cons: No cons that I could find πŸ˜… Looks even better than the pictures!

Great Hotel with Good Facilities: Make sure to book a classic room or above to get a good room with a view. Offers breakfast with the room. Has a pianist playing at dinner time at its in-house restaurant. Staff behaviour is good. Service requests are promptly met. Location is good. Only 5 mins walk from the Darjeeling Mall.

We were a group of 35 family members, we stayed for 3 days. Rooms were spacious, clean and maintained. May just need to retire some of torn bedsheets. Food served was tasty and hygienic. The staff is very courteous, hardworking and responsive. Overall, they made sure to give us a comfortable stay and memorising experience. Bigshout out to team of young waiters and pianist in restaurant. Will visit again.

The experience was great over all. Room services at times, took longer than expected. The food was good, but lacked in taste a couple of times and was about overpriced. On a brighter side though the room service and restaurant staff was very kind and hospitable and dutiful. The ambience is something to look forward to.

Our overall stay was a great experience due to the courteous and professional behaviour of the staff. Service requests were promptly met, for which we were truly grateful. The location of the hotel is really great, only 5 minutes from the Mall and the taxi stands. Would love to visit there again.

This hotel is good for family vacation. The staff were kind and helpful. Food was above average but they can do better. Room service was slow. The rooms were so spacious and all the basic amenities were given.

We stayed there for 3 nights in two superior rooms and one classic room. The overall experience was good but the taste of the food was not as we expected and they over charged. Rooms and toilets were cleaned and serviced at times. All the staff were very kind and hospitable and dutiful. The location is good, near to the Mall.

The staff was cooperative, gave us early check in. Location was superb near the walking street, with lot of cafeterias and horse riding. Excellent view of mountains. Spa therapist was good, hotel had a good green patch with lot of flowers. Rooms had good facilities, bed warmer, room heater, tea coffee maker. Good comfortable stay.

It was extremely expensive for the room given location + facility. Rooms are small and the exhaust leads directly to the entrance pathway, so you get greeted by the bad odour. And mind you, this is for one of the best rooms which was Executive room with balcony (I paid 5K for this). The breakfast was okayish - but honestly I missed getting healthy options. The complimentary breakfast honestly seemed like a rushed one - with obvious things - available in all hotels at 60% the cost. I expected more from this place. Location wise, its close to Mall road, so that's a definitive plus.

The hotel is conveniently located near Mall road, all the attractions and facilities in Darjeeling are nearby. This place has a vintage charm, but it lacks proper maintenance. The food served at breakfast and dinner was also average. Overall, rooms and food are not in sync with what they charge.

Central heritage resort is a lovely hotel with best service and location.the rooms were excellent,so spacious and beautifully decorated.. the staffs were cooperative and very polite in behaviour and made our stay s comfortable. The hotel is centrally located so we would just walk to the mall road every day. I would highly recommend this property.

Central Heritage Resort & Spa is a good Heritage resort. Very well maintained and well decorated hotel. The room was very spacious and bed was too comfortable. All amenities like room heater, bed warmer tea maker etc were available in the room. I alongwith my family had stayed here. We booked 2 rooms. Food charges are little bit high. Staff members are very good.

Being one of the oldest hotels, there is bound to be creaking noises in the doors and windows of the old building, but the coziness of the place, and proximity to all the tourist spots are unmatched. The annexe property has much smaller rooms, but has a great view of the town. Infant friendly kitchen staff always help with baby food and they also didn't charge us for a room upgrade just because the bigger room was available! Cheers to that!

I intended to give it 3.5 based on the services. Here are the Pros and Cons Pros 1) Outstanding staff. Very Courteous and ready to help and solve issues. Loved the customer service. Shout out to Mr. Lama. They tried the best they could with stuff they had. 2) Right in the heart of town with access to all great shops and places 3) Experience a heritage building. Cons 1) Dirty linens. Old mattress and filthy rugs ( was addressed for me) 2) The building is going through renovation so most of the amenities were not there 3) Smell of paints gets you allergy 4) Bar is empty with no good drinks 5) The corridors are claustrophobic and with smell because of no direct sunlight

It was a great experience in the darjeeling staying at this heritage hotel which is 100 year old .The service and staff was very friendly. The room was spacious and the location was very near to mall which was convenient specifically john from front desk was really helpful

Is was a huge hotel with more than 60 rooms, a lot of common areas and sit out space. We just loved the Heritage British era hotel with spacious luxurious rooms. Live piano in the evenings. Food was awesome

First time I stay here with family in Annex building. Rooms are small. I think room price are high compared to the rooms. They have a complimentary bed warmer which saved our life as it was very cold. Staff behaviour was very good. Location is fantastic. Overall good.

Stunning hotel near the Mall road. They have maintained their heritage charm. They have everything wooden, spacious large rooms with fire place. Their double height lobby attached to Sunset lounge is beautiful, with live piano in the evenings.

The view from the room itself was great. You can see Kanchenjunga from the window. And the staff (manager Lama and his team ) was very cooperative.

Great hospitality, clean rooms and prompt service. Might not get full WiFi connectivity in some rooms. If good WiFi is must for you, please check with reception.

We booked club room which was dirty. Lot of dust was there. Washroom was so so tiny. Room heater is chargeable. Room service is very very bad. No one picks up call at reception and housekeeping. Beware of housekeeping ladies. 1 or 2 person in general does housekeeping of single room, but here 4 ladies for housekeeping, which is very risky .breakfast was to oily. Dinner also was very oily and they use very bad oil for cooking which turns very bad smell in food. The plain rice I ordered was full of small black insects which was of vomiting feeling. I recommend not to book rooms in this hotel.as you will be for sure regretting your decision. I have pics to show you rice pic.. but there is no option of attaching pic. One night I ordered chicken biryani , that was also of bad ell because the onion Jale hue the usme. Uski wajah se Puri biryani me smell aa rahi thi jalne ki

Heritage building, built in 1905 AD, room was literally huge, mostly made from wood, good service, staffs are very polite, live piano show in Bar area, overall very good place to stay at Darjeeling.

Very bad hotel. Lock was jammed. Floor had mud. Jet spray was broken. Menu was not present. TV connection was not existing. Everything from door quality to curtains were in shabby state. Staying at home is better vacation than ruining your vacation by staying here. On the top, when we complained, staff started laughing. They said it is 100 year old room and hence never maintained. We are Heritage hotel. There was nothing Heritage about it. It was just poor and unhygienic service.

We had booked 3 rooms for a family trip to Darjeeling from 2nd Oct to 5th Oct 2022. The booking was done through their Kolkata office after 50% payment. Each Deluxe room was @ Rs. 5999/- per day with breakfast. I am not so sore about the room rent since in tourist season the room tariffs tend to be higher. But their service was pathetic and these guys are totally money-minded. First the day before the journey, suddenly they told me that another 50% needs to be paid during check-in. Now, many budget/luxury hotels will not demand such a thing if you book directly through them. Secondly, telephones/intercom did not work during our stay in all the three rooms; TV was not working initially and had to pursue several times. No continuous warm water (they have their timings). Initially, they said that they will provide Room Heaters @ Rs. 300/-; then they said that room heaters are provided during winters only. No slippers in rooms; they said slippers are out of stock. Mind you, Darjeeling is cold in October ! Bathroom size is small. No Welcome Drink was given on arrival; although written on invoice. Hotel rooms and Reception on opposite side of road. However, WiFi was working on most times and dining was good although not too many items in breakfast.

Don't opt for it if you have any random option open as alternative.. 1..The images of rooms and services are to lure you..neither you get a room in heritage building nor you get what they show in picture..you will get an average room in an under constuction building(which they call annex) opposite the road.. 2. There is no dedicated parking.even if you are provided a parking some how, driving the car in and out will surely dame the vehicle. 3. Neither of the number provided is working, you cannot contact property directly. 4. Phone was not working.. 5. Geyser was not working, no hot water..although they can provide hot water bucket..but how to contact? Phone is not working. 6. Poor illumination of bathrooms and room also as few lights were broken. 7. Basin, door of the bathroom were broken. 8. Mattress was uncomfortable. Just bed sheet over spring Mattress. It stinks, damp. 9. Extremely high priced food in comparison to their quality (specially if you are a Bengali). Buffet breakfast is far below as per expectation..specially the taste. 10. No AC,Heater,Fan,balcony, open lawn/space available. 11. To sum up, you get below average service in an over rated and over priced hotel.. The good things are 1.the primary heritage buiding(where you won't be staying) 2. One good piano player 3. Quality chinese food.
