Great value for your money. The shrimp and fish special is more than enough for one person. They really oile the shrimp on here. The fish is huge and both are seasoned to perfection. If/when you decide to eat here be sure to bring your appetite with. You definitely will not leave disappointed. This truck is probably the best seafood food truck in Charlotte... By far!

Tried them today at my apartment complex & was disappointed. On the positive side, my order was cooked to order, so I will give credit for that. I can also say that the shrimp was nicely seasoned and tasty. The fish & fries fell flat though. I literally tasted nothing! This was odd because I could see seasoning all over the place. The only though on why that might be is that the seasoning was old? Also, the customer service needs a softer touch. Nobody had a bad attitude, but their was no warmth or friendliness. Now if the fish was banging, I could overlook that, but as it wasn’t, I have no reason to return.

The best seafood!! I absolutely love the fish, shrimp and chips combo platter. It was enough for the night and I had some to share. Seasoned to perfection! I've followed this food truck to Raleigh, Greensboro and now Charlotte. You guys have to set up at one of our biker events.

I had this truck when it was in Raleigh and I was very happy to see it moved to Charlotte. They have THE BEST fish and shrimp I’ve had in a very long time. The seasoning is super unique and has just the right amount of kick in it. The owners seem to be hard working guys who go the extra mile to make their customers happy. Portions are SO MUCH BETTER than a lot of food trucks out there. Great bang for the buck! Welcome to Charlotte! Now come to NODA!

Ok, so I attempted them for lunch on a Thursday, Epic fail because I couldn't locate them. However that evening my friend and I decided to take the drive from Charlotte to Concord. It was one of the best spare of the moment hasty decisions I ever made in my life. YES LIFE!.. . Me being meticulous of food trucks first noticed the sanitation grade... YES! Then I was able to allow my senses to go crazy over the aroma. I believe fish, chicken, & shrimp gives off a very strong addictive smell when seasoned well. (I don't like the word smell either.) Now the taste was so on point we literally ate it as if we were on a road trip. I'm not inflating the least bit. Trust me I will leave a negative review if warranted. These guys supeceded all expectation. Plus the customer service was impeccable. My friend and I will be more than happy to take anotha road trip. Thank you Oak City😉

FINALLY Charlotte has its own Oak City Fish & Chips! Delicious, affordable, and great customer service, I can't get enough of this place! (Better tasting calamari than most seafood restaurants!) I love what these young brothers are doing! Keep it up!!

Oak City Fish & Chips provided me with great tasting food, accompanied with excellent service. The guys were pleasant & my order didn’t take long at all. I had the fish, shrimp, and calamari basket. The seasoning was unique & excellent on the seafood & fries. As a true foodie I highly recommend this food truck & look forward to my next plate! #LetsEat

I came to the Novel at NoDa Lightroom extension event at the 36th St Station. The portion sizes are more than enough. They give a lot of fries which I absolutely love but you can easily share. The seasoning has some kick and heat to it so keep that in mind. It's not spicy but it's not laughing salt and pepper either. There also some small bones in the fish so watch when buying food for small children.

I got a large shrimp and fry plate for $13, it was really tasty. I think the seasoning on the shrimp is different from whats on the fries but I loved the one on the shrimp better.Guys on the truck seem nice, I would only recommend you offer some type of sauce with the order like ranch, cocktail, etc.

It's the best fried sea food I've ever had. The calamari is to die for. The fish fillets are huge. And it insane how many fries you get. And what's crazy is it only took my food 10 min to be ready. Definitely a must have!
