At
the
end
of
April
2022,
I
was
treated
for
5
weeks
on
Ward
1b
of
the
Elisabeth
Hospital
for
an
acute
depressive
episode.
I
can
only
report
good
things
here.
At
first,
I
was
surprised
that
I
was
able
to
be
admitted
there
in
a
timely
manner.
Other
clinics
had
waiting
times
of
2
to
3
months,
which
can
be
disastrous
for
those
affected
by
acute
depression.
Immediately
on
the
first
day,
a
detailed
doctor's
interview
was
held
with
me.
I
was
listened
to
and
all
of
my
questions
were
answered.
The
accommodation
on
Ward
1b
was
very
good.
My
room
was
bright
and
friendly
furnished
and
quiet.
It
had
a
toilet
and
a
handicapped
accessible
walk-in
shower.
For
the
sake
of
completeness,
I
mention
that
there
are
some
rooms
without
a
shower.
But
there
are
decent
showers
in
the
corridor
that
you
can
use
at
any
time.
Station
1b
is
fully
air-conditioned,
which
is
especially
nice
on
very
hot
days.
I
would
like
to
expressly
praise
the
entire
hospital
staff
and
especially
the
team
from
Ward
1
b.
Whether
psychologists,
doctors,
nurses,
occupational
therapists,
physiotherapists,
cleaning
staff
and
kitchen.
I
always
felt
that
I
was
in
good
hands
and
everyone
there
did
an
excellent
job.
I
had
a
one-on-one
session
twice
a
week
with
a
psychologist
assigned
to
me,
plus
occupational
therapy
and
physiotherapy.
Visits
take
place
several
times
a
week.
At
least
once
a
week
there
is
also
a
visit
from
the
chief
physician,
where
you
can
express
your
fears
and
worries
as
well
as
your
treatment
requests.
I
was
also
thoroughly
examined
for
blood
pressure,
ECG,
blood
values,
etc.
The
hospital
has
a
beautiful
park
with
large
trees
and
benches
where
you
can
switch
off
and
relax.
I
had
a
great
community
with
my
fellow
patients.
We
met
regularly
in
the
common
room
on
ward
1b
to
play
games,
watch
DVDs
and
eat.
I
am
still
in
close
contact
with
many
of
my
fellow
patients.
Thanks
to
the
good
treatment
in
Lahnstein,
I
was
able
to
put
my
depressive
episode
behind
me
quickly
and,
after
reintegration,
I
am
fully
resilient
again,
both
professionally
and
privately.
If
I
had
a
depressive
episode
again,
I
would
go
back
to
the
St.
Elisabeth
Hospital
in
Lahnstein
at
any
time.
Since
this
is
a
general
hospital,
private
health
insurance
companies
or,
in
the
case
of
civil
servants,
the
aid
offices
should
also
take
over
the
treatment
costs
here
without
further
ado.
But
I
would
always
clarify
that
in
advance.
That
wasn't
a
problem
for
me.

Ich
habe
mich
Ende
April
2022
wegen
einer
akuten
depressiven
Episode
für
5
Wochen
auf
der
Station
1b
des
Elisabeth
Krankenhaus
behandeln
lassen.
Ich
kann
hier
nur
Gutes
berichten.
Zunächst
war
ich
überrascht,
dass
ich
zeitnah
stationär
dort
aufgenommen
werden
konnte.
Andere
Kliniken
hatten
Wartezeiten
von
2
bis
3
Monaten,
was
für
die
Betroffenen
bei
einer
akuten
Depression
verhängnisvoll
enden
kann.
Sofort
am
1.
Tag
wurde
ein
eingehendes
Arztgespräch
mit
mir
geführt.
Mir
wurde
gut
zugehört
und
mir
wurden
alle
Fragen
beantwortet.
Die
Unterbringung
auf
der
Station
1b
war
sehr
gut.
Mein
Zimmer
war
hell
und
freundlich
eingerichtet
und
ruhig
gelegen.
Es
hatte
eine
Toilette
und
eine
behindertengerechte,
ebenerdige
Dusche.
Der
Vollständigkeit
halber
erwähne
ich,
dass
es
einige
Zimmer
ohne
Dusche
gibt.
Aber
dafür
gibt
es
ordentliche
Duschen
auf
dem
Gang,
die
man
jederzeit
nutzen
kann.
Die
Station
1
b
ist
komplett
klimatisiert,
was
besonders
an
sehr
heißen
Tagen
angenehm
ist.
Loben
möchte
ich
ausdrücklich
das
gesamte
Klinikpersonal
und
besonders
das
Team
von
Station
1
b.
Egal
ob
Psychologen,
Ärzte,
Pfleger,
Ergotherapeuten
Physiotherapeuten,
Reinigungspersonal
und
Küche.
Ich
habe
mich
stets
in
guten
Händen
gefühlt
und
und
alle
dort
haben
einen
ausgezeichneten
Job
gemacht.
Ich
hatte
2
Mal
pro
Woche
ein
Einzelgespräch,
mit
einer
mir
fest
zugeteilten
Psychologin,
dazu
Ergotherapie
und
Physiotherapie.
Visiten
finden
mehrmals
wöchentlich
statt.
Mindestens
1
Mal
pro
Woche
auch
eine
Chefarztvisite,
wo
man
seine
Ängste
und
Sorgen
aber
auch
Behandlungswünsche
vortragen
kann.
Ferner
wurde
ich
gründlich
untersucht
Blutdruck,
EKG,
Blutwerte
etc..
Das
Krankenhaus
verfügt
über
einen
schönen
Park
mit
großen
Bäumen
und
Ruhebänken,
wo
man
auch
mal
abschalten
und
die
Seele
baumeln
lassen
kann.
Ich
hatte
mit
den
Mitpatienten
eine
tolle
Gemeinschaft.
Wir
haben
uns
regelmäßig
im
Gemeinschaftsraum
auf
der
Station
1b
zum
Spielen,
DVD
Schauen
und
auch
zum
Essen
getroffen.
Zu
vielen
meiner
Mitpatienten
habe
ich
auch
heute
noch
regen
Kontakt.
Ich
konnte
Dank
der
guten
Behandlung
in
Lahnstein
meine
depressive
Episode
schnell
hinter
mir
lassen
und
bin
nach
einer
Wiedereingliederung
wieder
beruflich
und
privat
voll
belastbar.
Sollte
ich
nochmal
an
einer
depressiven
Episode
erkranken
würde
ich
jederzeit
wieder
das
St.
Elisabeth
Krankenhaus
in
Lahnstein
aufsuchen.
Da
es
sich
hier
um
ein
Allgemeinkrankenhaus
handelt,
sollten
auch
private
Krankenversicherungen
bzw.
bei
Beamten
die
Beihilfestellen
die
Behandlungskosten
hier
ohne
Weiteres
übernehmen.
Das
würde
ich
aber
immer
im
Vorfeld
abklären.
Bei
mir
war
das
kein
Problem.
