Our family has been going to Bedford Eye Care for more than a decade and we have always been pleased with the service. They have reacted quickly the few times when we needed urgent eye care and have worked with us when the kids damaged or destroyed their glasses (too many times!). If you are shopping for glasses on price only there are cheaper options out there, but we feel that Bedford Eye Care is a good value, and the best overall option, particularly for the kids.

Pros: Very professional and probably the fastest appointment you'll ever make. There are multiple Dr's on site so they can see more patients than most offices. The whole experience was great Cons: Too far out. Expensive and some unnecessary exams that add up to the fee. I won't take away the wonderful experience I had with the doctors and staff but the two star rating based solely on the fact that they recommended an eye drop for my eye due to some irritation but the bottle was expiring the month after. I was told that it shouldn't matter because the eye drop is still good past the actual expiry date. Not the point though. I'd still feel more comfortable if I wasn't given a medicine that has less than 30 day expiry date label. In addition, I came in for an eye exam but once after the exam was over I was asked to sit down for what would have been new glasses fitting, which I didn't ask for. I just politely refused and asked for the prescription and left. Again, the whole experience was nice but those two things weirded me out that's all. I didn't go back because of that.

We did our son’s first eye exam today! Staffs are super friendly and nice. We were so lucky to visit today and meet Dr McMullin. She is super friendly and professional, now this place became my son’s favorite place 😁

My daughter had a contact lost in her eyeball this morning, We can't get it out. Look online, Bedford eye care opens at 8:00 a.m. we show up at 8:02 explain the problem we are gone by 8:30 with a contact removed no charge. We had involvement with four staff members every one of them professional and courteous. You got my daughter sorted out and to school on time. Nothing but appreciation for that wonderful staff.

I have never had any eye issues before this week and the idea of eye exams and treatment terrified me. Dr. McMullin, Dr. MacPhee and the lady who completed the pre-testing whose name eludes me, were so gentle and patient making the entire experience much more pleasant and tolerable. My family and I will be coming back for all our eye-care needs.

Dr. Erin Sheppard diagnosed me with glaucoma which has led to extensive treatment at the QEII hospital. So glad I have Dr. Sheppard for my regular check ups. Alicia fitted me for contact lenses today and took extra time to ensure the correct fit and best choice of lenses for my particular needs. Continue to be 100% satisfied year after year.

I broke my glasses and need a replacement asap... Melissa was more than helpful getting temporary glasses and help me choosing a new pair. I have been a customer of Bedford Eye Care for few years and after this experience I will stay with them.

Dr. MacPhee took care of me exceptionally well when I had an eye issue due to pregnancy. I felt she genuinely cared and was very attentive. I felt she wasn't just there to take my money. She listened and made sure what I was experiencing would go away once my pregnancy ended. Very professional and kind. I would recommend her or this place to anyone.
